This week we continue our conversation with Stevi AKA The MiIf Hunter! Love the honesty of the first few minutes. I feel like when I read the various 1 year/ 2 year after actions most people are seriously overestimating their comprehension ability, or they're not descriptive enough when they say they "understand" something. I think this led to me having false expectations in my first year about what I'd be able to accomplish.
Hearing that Stevi still struggles with stuff is extremely motivating and I wish more people were open about the things they struggle with.
agreed, I think a lot of ajatters after 1-2 years easily say they've reached 99% comprehension, but in reality it would vary wildly depending on the content

1:23 The learn Japanese from anime website actually lists that anime as impossible, and says it's even difficult for native speakers. So if that's what he struggles with, then his level is really high!
does that website rank difficulty of anime?
@@KoreKaraPodcast I think UA-cam flagged my comment as spam because I don't see it anymore. I guess I can't mention other websites. Anyway, the website does indeed rank anime by difficulty and by how close the Japanese is to everyday native speech.
I've heard multiple people say now to stop RTK1 at 1000 kanji and just dive right in.. what do you guys think? I'm at 300 now.
