Closet storage can be stylish, economical and easy to make! I made this closet for about $200 and it's 9 feet long with over 40 feet of shelving! The shelves are slatted to allow clothes to breathe and I used galvanized pipes for the closet rods. Check out more photos and detailed plans with cut list here: ana-white.com/node/13056

I love this! Now, I need to figure out how to include 2 of these at a 90degree along 2 walls! It's gorgeous!

The first half of the ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx3ICSK6nSknaL_45CU2NmFSoXjarGMDiJ book is everything about wood: types, tools, finishes, setting up shop etc. The second half is all about doing projects for inside and outside of the home. The color pictures are helpful. After reading a dozen of these types of books, this is probably the best overall (layout, color photos, plans). Only detraction is that many of the projects use a table saw/router/planer, which are usually expensive and take up space, so the plans are less friendly to newcomers and the budget conscious. But I know I can use a drill, circular saw or a jigsaw to make the projects.

I built these and planned on bringing them to our new home... well the gal who is buying our house wanted them so much she asked them to be put into the contract! Everyone has been amazed that I built them myself! Guess I'll be building another one when we get move! Thank goodness your plans made it to so easy!

I just finished I got to say thanks for the plans and the idea I do have some thoughts on it. I did modify it a bit after. I used a cross instead of a t at the end to add a extension and added another leg and another set of shelves. it came out awesome then added another shelf between the rod and the second shelf. Overall I was very very happy and pleased. thanks k you so much again for bringing this to my attention.

new subscriber love from Toronto Canada! keep up great work, definitely showing this to hubby so he can build, but I'm wondering how hard this would be to build a secondary (for opposite wall) but with reverse design?
(meaning the shelves on the left and right. and in the middle the clothes hanging section? for this second one I'd also remove the bottom shelf for my long maxi dresses, hope that made sense to whoever can give me feedback?)

Ana: I am a contractor and building a new rustic house all wood inside. I have used your industrial closet design throughout. It has really added a nice touch to the closets. The house have 5 walk in closets. Actually I think this is less expensive than all the metal wire stuff you see in most new houses.
