I would love it if you could get into how you connect the H1N to the sound board in more detail. I'm planning to buy one soon and that's the thing I dread the most. Great video btw.
The Rode video mic PRO has a major flaw, it is extremely sensitive to wind even with the dead cat, great for inside work but outside don't use it if there is any significant wind. Where i live it is windy most of the time. So i don't use a this mic. Other mics are not so sensitive to wind so they are what i use.
I have the - Zoom H1N and did not realise I could do this with it. Have been using the Zoom H5 with cables mostly but thats bulky and drains batteries quickly
Dear Michael, I have a question about the F6 that I want to mount to my camera rig. Do you always have to start the audio recording on the audio recorder manually, or does the audio recorder start the recording automatically at the same time as the video camera (in my case Sony A7SIII)?Thanks!
H5 definitely is a winner with the backup audio recording. Have got t he Zoom F3 since making this video and annoyingly (for this video) it's now my favourite!

The easiest way is XLR to XLR. XLR to jack is another common way.
Thanks for the tips! I started filming weddings last year and now I am investing in audio equipment
Would the h1n record from a microphone receiver as well?
I. Sorry not happy with
This video
why?...

Thank you for a really well explained video, Michael.

As far as I'm aware yo uhave to start manually, but maybe there's a way around it!
Hello, what type of micro SD cards would I need for the H1N?
v30 cards will be absolutely fine
Great Video Bro… quick question. For Weddings how much of the inputs do we need for like the F6 once we plug into the Soundboard
Depends on the signal. If they're providing mono, then one is fine. If they're providing stereo, then two would be better.
Brilliant video mate
How about Zoom H5, best of H1 and F6?
