It was always covered in very brief detail, people more reporting it because it got people clicking on the videos. I’m glad to see a talented content creator actually go in-depth so we can try and understand it all better.

He was playing GTA. He didn’t say anything anyone else streaming wouldn’t say. They were normal things that people say when streaming GTA. You’re just trying to make a connection that isn’t there.

EXACTLY! I haven't even watched the full video and I already suspected stephan to be the killer because if he says he doesn't read chat, can mean it's just prerecorded, allowing him to "be at two places at once".
Because at the time you don't think much of it. You either think the dude's lazy or a klutz thay doesn't know how to open the chat in another window or screen. Which was kind of what happened. Nobody thought much of it nor did anyone really suspect him during the time.
It was out of place but considering even the investigators didn't think much of it, it wasn't concrete enough evidence. In hindsight it was the definitive detail they missed.
This case was mostly solved due to a taxi driver and not because of this little detail anyone missed.
Of course you suspect him now when you are quite literally watchinga video with the title "livestream killer".

i've never heard of someone not being able to read chat during a live stream so that was already a major red flag to me
when someone isn't a professional and doesn't have two monitors, a full-screen app leaves you without access to the chat for most of the time. but his explanation was sooo... nothing. the sentence he said literally doesn't mean anything
You just watch your own stream on your phone. It's the easiest possible thing.
Fr like I remember watch tons of small streamers n they could read the chat on their console if they were streaming on it or using their phone, I don’t see how “I can’t see the chat” an excuse unless something happened in min stream for that to happen but still

First time Ive seen his content and I’m genuinely impressed
He literally had everything going for him. He had a girlfriend who had his child, had a good income from his UA-cam channel, and was loved by everyone. Yet, decided to murder his girlfriend, because he's a man-child that can't be mature and talk to her about his concerns. How pathetic. I wish he rot in prison for the rest of his days.
Could be that the child is not even his, which made him snap. Just a speculation.

I am someone who was a big fan of Votesaxon as well as Bugglebots and Antweight Anarchy, two combat robotics shows he was commentators for. It makes me feel horrible this happened.

My theory is that the child wasn't his but his girlfriends ex boyfriend, that's the reason for him calling her "Bitch", he probably found that in the messages.
The first time I saw his stream, his little “abso-fucking-Natalie” absolutely floored me. Like holy shit, how brazen and horrible can you be? The rest is just as horrific but that one quip still gets me to this day. Amazing video btw ❤
Thats the thing, he said "notly", which is just slang for nothing.
The mans drunk or pretending to be drunk, and he is slurring his words while also using slang ontop of it.
Your brain is forced to think it's Natalie instead of notly because of the subtitles. Otherwise you wouldn't have heard of it.
Believe me if it was this obvious, crime scene investigators would've kept him in custody for much longer. We are talking about individuals trained to look for the littlest bit of slip ups and details.
The only real out of place things in the livestream are him mentioning its a chatless livestreams, which could've been brushed off as him being inexperienced. And the movie poster, which Stephen himself brushed off. And even then these two details wouldn't have been concrete enough evidence at the time.

I do certainly like how you and several other people pretend to be the best detectives in the world, but the investigators who went over Stephen's livestream several times didn't mention anything about him saying Natalie in his stream. How come you, a regular person with no training whatsoever, hears something a trained officer can't hear?

i wanna take a moment to appreciate your editing style. I love it so so so much. Especially since ive been diagnosed with ADHD and usually end up clicking off documentaties like this because i simply cant keep payong attention, yet this video kept me engaged for the entire time and i didnt even realise almost 19 minutes had passed!

Sometimes criminals want to get caught. But what’s strange about this case is that he wasn’t a criminal before killing her. The motive truly is unknown.

As soon as you mentioned the date, I got a bad feeling in my gut knowing of the case this was gonna be about.
I was surprised more people haven’t been talking about this one. I guess it always felt a bit grim knowing it’s so recent, and it puts our future on a bleak path with technology enabling crime and faking alibis. Stuff like this is sickening.

Amazing video but I have to point out that at 17:23 there is a pretty big mistake. You are talking about september 15th and 17th, and you say 3 days before the murder even though the murder happened on december. So either you mixed up the months or just added ”3 days before the murder” to an unrelated part
