- The Deslondes are a verified super group. The group's members are Dan Cutler (vocals/stand-up bass), Sam Doores (vocals/guitar), Riley Downing (vocals/guitar), Cameron Snyder (vocals/percussion), and John James Tourville (fiddle/pedal steel). Separately they each have their own various incredible musical projects. I recently recorded Riley, Missouri's most prominent son (or maybe that's Todd Day Wait?) at the Bomb Shelter for his solo album ( • Riley Downing, "Good t... ). Sam has his own collection of great tunes. Cameron has an awesome band with our friend Caspian down in New Orleans ( • CPNPC - Allison - DIY ... ). John James (or JJ as I've known him) recently made an appearance on Benjamin Tods new honky tonk album. They are a tumultuous bunch, a powder keg of differing personalities and persuasions, but when they do combine theres always fireworks, shenanigans and beautiful music.
This time was no different. A last minute location swap started with a spur of the moment van implosion (damn water pump). We rescued half the boys from the side of the road, and some many hours later all barely got together to record this number in a garage outside town. Spectacular as always. If you get the chance, catch a show, you never know when it might be their last.

It doesn't really matter - what ever it is, it's damn good.
Maybe Someone licked the Toad ?
When that riff comes after that first verse...goosebumps every time. Just as cool here
This band is sick! And they even have a toad as a roadie!
glad someone caught that
I use to harmonize with this fella in his daddy's basement, passing around whiskey and making up lyrics. Love you, Riley. ❤
This song is cooler than I will ever be. So badass.
This one NEVER gets old to me. That harmonica speaks to your soul...😌

As someone who was born on a hippie farm in South Dakota, and has traveled across the country living in New Orleans for 3 years, this song is personal in many ways! Really great performance there. Keep it up!!
Bunning a massive spliff to this
Dude I went back roading with my buddies and threw this on when we got to the briks got that fire going with are yellow bellys in are hands bro you never have fit a country life so well Bubba keep this up
I keep going back to this video. So killer
oh shit this is good
She was a South Dakota wild one
Grew up on the hippie farm
Just outside of a small town
Where life can grab you by the arm
I never knew about her daddy
But her momma had two strong arms
And a nice guitar pickin' man
Who tried to keep her warm
Johnny was a punk rock boy
That had a soft spot in his heart
He knew who he liked
And he knew who he did not
One day he went up there
And I never saw him come back home
I hope she caught him
And stopped two tires going down the road
East River on the prairie
Out where the cottonwoods bloom
Is a bad land for a broken man
Who never planned on finding you
She was the real thing mama
Crazy love in her heart
Welcome in anyone
Ever need a place to fall apart
She was a South Dakota wild one
Grew up on the hippie farm
Just outside of a small town
Where life will grab you by the arm
I never knew about her daddy
But her momma had two strong arms
And a nice guitar pickin' man
Who tried to play along

How is this mic’d?
hazardously. a random assortment of mics, i honestly dont even remember each one. a handful of sennheiser lavs, some direct input and maybe an sm58 somewhere.
@@GemsOnVHS well it sounds great!
How do you pronounce their name?
@colbyjade4321.
Dez-londz. Sounds like ponds.
@@masterpieceicesculptures7029 thank you!
Great song and performance only thing is the vocals is overpowered by everything else he needs a mic 🎤
