I ben playing for 3 years now and i havent gotwn higer than silver im a genji main and i play everyday i play peak and poke strat and i ult with brawl togheter with my team i just do exactly as u say it dont just work

Anna farah Higher level players understand that genji is a horrible hero that’s why he is never played in OWL even with these buffs he still won’t be meta there is to many counters to him.
I dreamed about the cancel deflect buff and now i can say that those buffs made me happy (but still he is not broken at all)

Genji still isn’t exactly “meta” cuz there’s so many counters to him but I’m SO GLAD the devs are bringing him back into the spotlight. This will be very fun when the buffs go through.
The problem is his dash has a too long cooldown. He can't get out of failed dives unless the enemy team is incompetent.
Random Guy deflect enough until your team backs you up is a good way to get out of a failed dive!

Honestly we need another GameLeap dragonblade guide. There are so many, yet not enough.
As a grandmasters/top 500 genji main I agree with most of this video other then how you need your team to blade. Also, brawl stage doesn't need to be done when there's a lone target, genji has huge survivability and can get one or two picks even if they are with the enemy team.
The buffs lowkey made me want to play overwatch even longer ever since my 2 year hiatus
i hadnt played since late 2018 and started playing recently while not really worrying about whether i win or lose and it has helped greatly. i think a break actually helped me tbh.
They got 2x xp right now if you trying to get some skins before the anniversary ends.

My aim is good enough to carry me into plat, even when i playi like a bot. However, I just started playing dps so I don't know what I need to do to keep climbing
@@reformed1trick739 positioning is key. Focus on not dying and being I'm the best position possible (high ground or low ground). Also, just keep playing the game. The more you play the more you will improve.

Honestly I've just been playing qp matches with genji and I'm slowly but surely getting better at aiming and using ult (got my first dragon blade 3k today :D)
you know whats funny i got on to play genji today and i hopped on youtube to see this.
One of the best tips I’ve never seen anyone say and one that I’ve learned is to target their supports first then blade. Killing Zen or Lucio is the best thing you can do as Genji before you blade. When I started playing him months ago (I took a huge break and now a support main) it never occurred to me. As I played the game more and acquired more game knowledge/sense then that occurred to me.

I literally just watched this video and played a game with genji and no lie it was the best game I have ever played with genji I went 34 eliminations and 2 deaths and use ultimate 4 time all getting at least 2 kills I know it's not great but I have only just got back in the game 2 weeks ago so thank u so much

Dude this actually made me rethink my genji plays. Definitely criticize my genji playing hard. I need to play the poke and pressure more, I like to dive in when there is not even a kill option.
Tb honest I’ve seen this pattern from league, certain new character have mechanics that outclass old characters of the same class or style. Genji was meta for so long until doom and echo came along and destroyed genji in the ability to dive assasinate and get out.

6:37 The longer deflect duration makes it harder for Rein and Brig to kill Genji, whom deal melee damage.
What if Genji got a wall-run or other parkour mechanics as a different way of buffing him? Or maybe it's time that Genji can deflect Doom's punch, or beams (not Moira) as if his blade was a mirror; deflecting an Enemy Echo's beam back at her team would be fun.

7:33 genji is the only character that has a perfect 2-2-2 comp made entirely of his counters...that is why you rarely can carry as genji.what prevent the enemy team from just change its entire comp to this one (orsomething close to) and completely shut you down? That is why this buffs are just a quality of life and not such a big deal. He, unfortunately, still is far from being meta.

Genji's reflect is called deflect, just so you guys know, lol
When ur a McCree main wondering what to expect from genji with the new buff
so i tried the new genji deflect and it's mostly useful when you succesfully deflect a flashbang. usually you have to wait for the deflect to run out or wallclimb which gave mccree enough time to recover from the stun if you don't have dash, but now you can cancel deflect and triple headshot the mccree and kill him.
When does this buff release?
