Loot a small amount and then hide . Find a room you can exit quickly. Hide in that room, turn the lights off, if you can , make it a room that has enemies yet to awaken, when a squad walks into the room dio out and close the door behind yourself, turn out all the lights in that room and open a door or 2. If you're hiding long enough you should be able to stop a portal .
I get out most of the time solo with a ranger. You'll click with it all the sudden and start doing alot better. Holler if you see me on and ill help, livv

#18 is incorrect. The speed at which you open doors is affected by Agility and Resourcefulness, so the different classes naturally do it at different speeds and gear matters. Both those stats start low and are low priority for gear on cleric, so a teammate of any other class except Barbarian will be significantly faster at it.

It won't matter anyways the mobs on the playtest were level one which will be on the first level of the dungeon. We started on the level 2 dungeon which is where the lich and ghost king will be. Level 3 will be harder than what you see in the playtest. The level we started on will have harder mobs to fight and at least the 2 bosses. Subject to change but the devs said the lich and ghost king are not the red level bosses.
so i play as a rouge and i dont think daggers can break boxes or barrels just worth noting,unless you can but it takes for ever maybe but i hit that barrel 10x and nothing
One quick tip regarding the zone/circle closing. If you're the last player left and you want to loot before hopping through a portal, make sure you loot before the circle closes fully. Once the whole map is engulfed in plague, it wipes everyone in the game. Learned from personal experience.

After 5 hours of playing and dying Ive only seen a portal twice. The navigating thru unclear paths on the map and/or is the challenge. Trying to find a portal while you are doing it is a pipe dream. I have no idea how other ppl are finding portals. Or when is the time to start looking for one. Other then waiting for the circle be the smallest but then you die for sure to elite mobs in the middle or better players, cause everyone is in the same place now. Really baffling gameplay system these random portals. Seems like I dont have enough agency to be finding one.
Portals start spawning at slower rates early in the game. A little message will show up in the feed on the top right of your screen every time a portal spawns. They also make a fairly loud grinding noise when the spawn if you are close enough. Try playing slowly around the edge of the circle and keep moving around if you are having trouble finding any. They don’t always spawn at the center of the zone and can even spawn outside of the safe zone.
@@gert5072 yeah yeah, I basically know all of that. It's mostly my unability to cover a large enough ground to find one b4 the zone closes in so much that every remaining 3player death squad runs into me, which is game over ofc.
I played this game for a total of 20ish hours, i can honestly say i don't ever want to play it again, not for the game itself (because i personally think the game is an interesting idea that needs more fleshed out) but the Toxicity i ran into was insane, from people inviting others to party only to kill them right off the bad as the round started to insulting others in party lobbies for playing with other players. I'm kind of glad for the lack of communication in the game because i could see a lot of COD lobby language being thrown around do to all of it. i found maybe 5 good parties out of all of those games and i still never got out of the dungeon, hopefully as development goes on they will find ways to solve these problems.
That was not my experience at all and I never had a party member kill me on purpose. I was in probably 40 random groups I started. No toxicity I saw except it's pvp and people want to kill you. I don't think it has any toxic development problems. I had no party member slander anyone in party chat. You obviously had some bad luck. Very strange
@@aguy6641 First off im 31 and have no friends lol, and yes id say if you didnt have that problem then you are lucky because i had it many times, id have people talk shit in the lobby to the point where id have to kick them and id have higher level players kill the party at the start or half way through for loot, mostly barbarians from my experience. Mind you this didnt happen all of the time but it did happen.

Game is too broken. Combat reaction and general movement is janky. Mobs are op and why too numerous....Theres billions of games you can waste your day on and have something to show for it, this isnt one of them atleast until official release.

this game is very squad heavy, so you need a team to actually get good loot and escape

dont wear heavy leg armor. no ones hits the legs. the damage you take from legs is already very low. and the speed penalty is not worth it.
That's not how armor works in this game. It's just a cumulative damage reduction.
