What makes Stevie so great, is that he could play every instrument on that stage. He also wrote 95% of his music. He, like Prince, and MJ, often laid down several voice tracks to his songs. Then he would teach the parts to his people. Ray Charles could do this as well.❤❤
The studio version with the horns is classic. He's a musician's musician. Stevie in concert is AMAZING. After the show people are smiling, laughing, crying, singing together, reveling in the experience. The man is a genius ❤❤❤
i am a 67 year Old Gentleman... & a Huge Stevie Fan I LOVE HIM !! i was Blessed to Actually meet the Legend briefly after 1 of his concerts & shake his Hand back in the 1980s here in the Uk, He's as Humble & Beautiful in the Flesh as his Music is Inspired.......... i am so Grateful to have seen him 7 times throughout his Career, in various decades , my personal Favourite concert was 'his 'Hotter than July Music Picnic @ Wembley Arena . here in London in the 80s .... Thank God he's still Around making Magnificent Music. Thanks Guys for the Review & Upload.. Peace
I think Stevie would fall under the category of "funk".. I would love to see you do more of his stuff he is absolutely mind blowing! also KC and the Sunshine band, Earth wind & fire, totally worth the deep dive!
Yes, Hope! KC, and especially EWF.. their live performances were amazing (especially Verdine White on that bass??? while dancing around... ? love him.. such amazing energy)
I was on the national monument grounds on January 15, 1981 in DC the year Stevie led a rally in an effort to see the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr's birthday declared a national holiday. The bill was signed into law, reluctantly, by Reagan in 1983, but it was not realized until 1986. It took nearly 20 years to make this happen. Wonder also spoke at my Howard University graduation May 13, 1978.
More Stevie! ☺If the spirit moves ya, take a listen to "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" next. Another deep dive you'll love is Sly & the Family Stone. The song "Dance to the Music" brings back great memories from back in my clubbing days. Picture a crowd of goths, headbangers and ravers...then "Dance to the Music" comes on. The sound of combat boots pounding on the floor was INSANE. The mosh pit went MENTAL. 😄The DJ said he was taking a chance playing this one, hoping the crowd would take to it. And dang, it worked! It became a crowd favorite.
Now THIS is what I’m talking about, not that Bieber nonsense. Check out the studio version of this song and its even better. I’d live to see you go down a Stevie rabbit hole, there are so many great songs. Please start with “I Wish” next. I fully expect to see you boys up and dancing to that one. Lol. ❤
thanks, guys! This is a great live version (there are many), but also his studio stuff was awesome... Stevie is a genius at arrangements.. .I hope you react to more.. appreciate your listen!!
I;ve seen Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Billy Joel, The Who, the Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin live. Guys, I love your videos but PLEASE the first time you check out a song listen to the studio version THEN the live version. Stevie is a sheer genius son writer and musician, definite goat. The other thing is WEAR HEADPHONES. For example, many Beatles songs are enhanced enormously by the mix.of instruments and overdubs. ok that's my lecture for today LOL. Check out Jackson Browne's "Song for Adam" and "The Pretender." And Elton's epic Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding from Yellow Brick Road. Also I WANT YOU/She's so Heavy from Abbey Road Beatles.
Stevie played most of the instruments ( Hohner Clavinet, drums, Moog bass) on the studio track for Superstition in addition to the lead vocals. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superstition_(song)
One thing that was great is that you could go to a regular bar and they have live night and you would see these great artists and never know it. I was underage at the time but we always knew how to sneak in to these bars. It was great. I saw most of the bands you twins are reviewing from the 70s and 80s
I completely agree with you! In 1974 I was in a Toronto bar (Colonial Tavern) and Rush was playing. Nothing better than sipping on a beer & listening to Rush for free.
Live versions are always great, but of course some things get lost in the t.v. sound, especially bottom, as in bass & bass drum of the drum set. This was cool though, especially to see Stevie & hear his voice in a fresh live tone. Modest folks still don’t know that on the recordings, Stevie was also on drums. Here the guitarist also takes on the responsibility of horn parts, which kind of respond to the vocals as the song moves through different sections. Fun reaction!
I've seen many reaction videos about Metallica, and even people who have never listened to them, said Disposable Heroes is the best metal song they've ever heard. Try it out. It's on the Master of Puppets album. You will love it. Love your Vids. Stay strong my friends!!
PLEASE REACT TO QUEEN & FREDDIE MERCURY, Fellas… LIVE PERFORMANCES are preferable over studio/music videos. (Queen prided themselves on being a “live band”… While there are other groups/entertainers who are undoubtedly equally good, live vs studio… Queen is the only band who are reputed to be even BETTER live than in-studio.) SUGGESTIONS: “SOMEBODY TO LOVE” Live at MILTON KEYNES BOWL in 1982 “UNDER PRESSURE” Live at Wembley Stadium, 1986 (The video that’s OVER 5 minutes long, to include Freddie’s most famous Improv)
You need to find a better video to this. The backup singer doing her thing is actually done by horns. The girls are good, but the actual instruments are fantastic.
What makes Stevie so great, is that he could play every instrument on that stage. He also wrote 95% of his music. He, like Prince, and MJ, often laid down several voice tracks to his songs. Then he would teach the parts to his people. Ray Charles could do this as well.❤❤
I've been a Stevie fan for over 50 years. Saw him live in Toronto a few years ago. No one could sit down. Fabulous concert.
He could play every instrument on that stage masterfully!!
The studio version with the horns is classic. He's a musician's musician.
Stevie in concert is AMAZING. After the show people are smiling, laughing, crying, singing together, reveling in the experience. The man is a genius ❤❤❤
Yessss....the horn section is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is 100% live. You can tell from the sound. Compare it to the studio version. No computers needed.
A genius! Talented beyond words. Stevie started playing when he was 7 but created his first song at the age of 11.
Stevie WOnder is a LEGEND....His voice his piano his mond harp his everything song writing. SO great
i am a 67 year Old Gentleman... This is actually them. There was no computers just talent.

Yesyesyesyesyes! 😊

Love this song. Such a talent! Subbed!
🎧 💓 🎶
If you have not jumped into the Stevie Ray Vaugn rabbit hole yet, check out his cover of Superstition...many choices, my favorite, live in Nashville.
A he'll of a musical talent. Listen to this song with back up horns.

LOLOL Did I hear you guys say, "let's see what this guy is all about?' LOLOL So cute and young
Ah, the MUSIKLADEN was a popular German live music show from 1972 to 1984. I am too "young" to remember myself, though. 🙂
Live Recording from the leading German Pop Rock TV Show "Musikladen" . Top shelf Audio Video engineering.
🌸 he plays like 17 instruments he's an excellent drummer a lot of times on the cuts on his albums he will play every single instrument
Please react to Stevie Wonder - Livin For The City
The lyrics are a major component

Michael e steve ❤❤
FYI: Stevie Wor and Michael Jackson are third cousins ( on his mor side).
fire!
The studio version has better and richer sound quality. Plus horns!
Ironically one of his best performances of this is him on Sesame Street of all places.
In my opinion his live performance there is better thsn this
Motown was a sound not a genre. This is R&B. Which encompasses a multitude of sounds. Many misappropriate R&B into Pop.
Yes.. playing real instruments in 70s and 80s was called TALLENT…
Im sorry but you don’t get that these days …
LIVE!!!!!!!!!
