@@1Know1tHurtsThere’s a setting you can change in the menu to make that a lot less likely (if you e not changed it already) It’s under page 1 of ‘setup’ -> power setting option -> auto power off temp (set to high).

I have 3 ZV-E10s in a studio with dummy batteries. I did an 8-hour test with the AC set to 82 F in the room, recorded it into an ATEM, and filled a couple of drives. There was no overheating with the heat setting on high. So, with the viewfinder open, a dummy battery, setting for high heat, and a reasonable temperature room, you could run a ZV-E10 for 24 hours with no problems.

@@fernan4x Still love it. Just finished a big video job for a client and the ZV-E10 played a key role. My entire business has now shifted to the Sony APS-C ecosystem.
I recommended this to a gym friend who wanted to take good videos in gym, he was going the canon Eos 200d and I told him it's obsolete, and told about m50 moii and zve10 of which I suggested the zve10. I pushed him more towards Sony for video and boy it's been just 3 days and he loves the camera

It’s cause he’s sharpening the footage a lot in post and also there’s very little motion meaning UA-cam’s compression is working less hard.

I actually bought one of these.. Although I'm more into photography, I still like this camera. I don't rely on EVF cuz I'm always wearing eyeglasses. And who knows maybe someday I have the motivation to do content using this camera.. For the price, I don't think any camera can beat these.
This is called giving information thats critical for a buyer on a budget or a beginner who wants a camera that does all comfortably. One thing would be nice if you mentioned low light performance but nonetheless the best video for a camera
it’s actually great in lowlight. on the channel I have a bunch of examples - 59 seconds is not a lot of time to include every 🤣

Think about a7cr if you want a compact full frame with a viewfinder. It has the same pixel density as the a7rv .

I wanted to express my admiration for your fantastic reviews. I have a dilemma that I hope you can help me with. I will be traveling to Japan in a month, and I'm torn between choosing the ZV-E10 and a couple of other weather-sealed cameras with a built-in flash, such as the A6400 and Canon R10. During my trip, I plan to capture photos of streets, outdoor scenes, night lights, and possibly Mt. Fuji. While I'm concerned about the ZV-E10 lacking a built-in flash, its impressive low-light performance makes me question if I really need one, unless it's specifically for indoor photography. Another option would be to add an external flash to the ZV-E10, but I worry it might make the setup too bulky for travel shots. What are your thoughts on this matter?

I wouldn’t trade for any a6xxxx camera other than the a6700.
@@mawavoy True that, a6700 got that swivel screen, haha
i choose 6300 instead of this for a few reasons but still zv series are great. my choice was different for more programmable buttons on the body, no flip and touch screen needed, i usally use stabilized lenses, and for that a6300 was even cheaper than a zve10. yes, a bit slower af, a bit less low light performance, a bit more rolling shutter in 4k, but the sensor and the final images are basically the same, worst thing i miss the headphones jack but with the money i saved i bought a wireless microphone system which has an headphones jack and a lot more versatility than just a jack on the camera body
oh and yes, overheating in 4k is a bit problematic, but it isn't a big issue for me, it's just important to know

Do you have a video explaining what settings to use on the camera so that it’s all good for catalyst browse? (I’m vlogging)
I do have one yes. the only thing I do differently now is use 1/50 for shutterspeed instead of the 1/200 like I suggest in the video. as long as you’re not running, you can use the regular shutterspeed of 1/50
Catalyst browse is so bad, honestly it’s a shame because it could be such a useful software. It crashes constantly on both macOS and windows and also neither the paid nor the free version export to h265 which is weird considering using any of these cameras you should be recording in h265.
Also the free version won’t do 10bit, it will even let you export to a 10bit container but the footage is actually 8bit.

Mark, a question: are we abke to touch focus on the screen on this camera? In a6300 I do not have this functionality.

Unbelievable. We don't need a focus puller anymore... just a focus tipper who can sit on the side, and just click tip and touch to focus .. no skills needed..
Alod I was thinking what is the next step toward focusing-tech: they can npw soon allow cameraman to pre-program/ chose particular areas on the frame/LCD screen, which could be put on a timeline, like keyframes; for instance when you are 2 seconds into a shot, there is one point onnthe screen selected to be focused at, and when you reach the 5th second in shot, maybe you moved and changed the composition amd hence selected a differemt area on the screen to be focused at.. one literally just has to move the camera with the clock..

If you use the Sony 11mm 1.8 you can comfortably use the active stability. but I don’t use that - I use catalyst browse for stabilization. 10% crop and it comes out great
