Personally I don't trust what they're putting out processed especially if it's on sale. Of all the weird things they are giving to animals, I prefer processing myself from local high quality farmers.

I bought “Beverly” brand canned Bulk Sausage Cured when I saw a lady picking it up from the shelf and I asked her if it was any good and she said yes…….I actually opened up a can the other day and mixed it with some scrambled eggs…. I bought it way back when the shelves were empty and everyone was saying to stock up on canned meats……that’s when I first discovered canned chicken 😂…well anyway, the Beverly brand doesn’t have any mechanically separated chicken in the ingredients and only has 200 mg of sodium for a 2 ounce serving size but still is very salty and mushy just like your brand and doesn’t form into a patty…..Look, if you’re starving and this is one of the things you have on hand with a long shelf life, you’ll eat it…..my best by date is still 6/25 for the two cans I have left and I swear I bought them in 2019 or 2020! I think this brand is a little better than the one you just tried……this old lady just giving her two cents!!!!!😂👵🏻. Tks for your review!!!!!!👍🏻

It's been sold, here in the south US, since I was a child. Often ate it, until age along with the need to reduce sodium intake stopped it. I like it best, heated as if it were a gravy. Serve along side scrambled or fried eggs. Sop it with homemade biscuits, as if it were gravy. "Frying" it will further concentrate the salt, as the moisture is driven off. Likely to make it taste far too salty.
It would be somewhat of an acquired taste. I'd absolutely rather have it than to go hungry, especially if I can make a pan biscuits!

@@JDDees I'm older. And, I'm sorry you've led such a remote and sheltered life. Even our local Food Lions (a southern chain, since you might not know) sell it. *What's even worse is that no one has taught you that you can't make factual judgements on what you've never seen or tasted* . After all, some people don't like chocolate or rib-eye steaks.
It will help if you are capable, to type 3 words into a search engine. They are "Banner breakfast sausage". Tons of references, recipes, ads, blog posts and more. Heck, it's even sold on eBay. 🙂

Jinne according to google AI lol It is ready to eat. Kind of like spam except it isn't a solid. I remember buying a can or two from Walmart thinking the same thing you were...great price for some canned meat! lol When I opened it I think I felt the same as you. I want to say after trying to make sausage patties out of it I decided to just add some eggs like I would with Chorizo.
The recipe google AI gave was Mix 1/4 cup of flour, 1 egg, and the sausage in a bowl until it forms a soft ball. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat, then drop spoonful's of the sausage into the skillet and flatten them with the back of a spoon to form patties. Which makes sense because it is so loose lol

Wow, Jinne! You were brave in doing that! It kinda ticks me off that there was a picture of perfectly browned sausage patties on the label when that is not at all what is on the inside! A couple of weeks ago, I canned up some pork sausage patties that I will take out and brown when I use them. I also canned some loose sausage that I can do the same with, or add to a casserole, scramble, or make gravy with. There would be absolutely NO WAY to fool my sausage-lovin' husband with potted meat!😂
