I definitely didn't screw up the audio then have to go back and fix it. Also, what did you think of this one-I didn't do my usual formula, and I'm a bit worried about it's continuity. Did I execute the premise okay?
Yeah I think you still did a pretty good job with this one. I don't think I could deal with a 20 minute version of this one, but in the current bite-sized format, it was great. Keep it up👍👍
Last time this happened I got to the conclusion that overthinking would only get me so far, every attempt to explain the complexity of existence would be a simplification of reality just so my brain would be able to understand, it took multiple generations to understand something we know right now, borrowing knowledge from one to the other until someone finally could explain something, it is amazing and terrifying, being just a piece of a puzzle Great video, I'm glad YT recommended it to me
Glad you enjoyed! It certainly does feel like I'm swarmed with thoughts whenever this sort of moment happens, like I could never understand anything because it's all so wild and weird and complex. Still working through how to deal with that sort of thing, but it's kind of fun in a way.
Legit the last 20 seconds or so I do all the time. Oh life is crushing at times and a slog to work through at others, but god damn it all if I'm not going to keep going on. I refuse to believe the now is the best we can do, and we will live to see better days because we fight for them, and because we must. There is no other option. Call it the largest sunk cost fallacy in history if you like. We will see the light at the end of the tunnel one way or another
I like the way you put it-a sunk cost fallacy. Kind of puts it in perspective a bit, I guess, that humanity really does keep pushing on largely in hopes of a better life for those coming after. Whether it’s a selfish instinct to preserve one’s genes or a noble cause withstanding the ages, we’re part of this big experiment of life, and subsequently a piece of something greater.
fr. Tbf he could be a whole genre unto himself. Existential comedy essay's. Learning and sympathy and shared existential terror. Simultaneously a celebration of us, but also a 'who do you think you are' vibe. God is dead and we have killed him. How can we bear the greatness of this deed? Must we not become like gods to be worthy of this very idea? Hope from the depths of despair. The light in the darkness. Life

Great video you remind me of the depressed suicidal turtle
It’s when I’m pooping and there is no toilet paper in the whole bathroom
5:27 I love this variation on the Goethe quote. Feels a bit more light-hearted, yet somehow just as brutal
This guy's voice is like if the turtle dude and Solar Sands had a homunculus.
Close enough, welcome back exurb1a
I do in fact "Have That Moment When...".
This video is amazing, don't know why you have so few subs and likes
