Hey, thanks for reviewing this one. It's really a shame that all of these multi-game handhelds lack aspect ratio settings...games are always displayed so that the image is stretched to fill in the whole screen area. To me, that is, and will always be a skip. Nevertheless, these gadgets are truly interesting and fascinating. Even more when attention is drawn towards our fellow, genius hackers/engineers and we are able to get enhanced "firmware"...unlocking additional features to some of them.
Oh no, it's another nice looking handheld with no substance (cheap and lite). I saw it on aliexpress and I liked the design but as soon as I saw that chip, I was like oh no. There are so many handhelds that I like that look good but disappoint me. I know a lot of people will say well use this handheld for this and the others for that. However, I really don't want a big collection. I don't have time to actually play on them or I forget to even turn them on. I do have hope for the M17 being the best budget handheld especially with cfw. This one would be great with a PI in it.
Really like that take, thank you for the great comment! You’re 100% right though, when it comes down to it - it’s practical play time that matters the most, so the handhelds got to be right for the person!
I ordered this project x handheld should be here in a week I like messing with them just see what I can do and I will usually give them to family later as a gift. I have the m17 and I installed a firmware that youtuber called Taki upon created and pit up for free on github. I tried the stock software with the games and some consoles worked fine some not so much. After the new software a new Samsung Evo micro SD and moving the roms to the new SD card all games run great and the games are in orginal screen format 4.3 not the stretched 16.9. It works well now up to ps1 it has psp games but some are hit or miss still. The software is the stock software with a lot of the configuration files adjusted. Taki is looking for people interested in making a full custom firmware though. I also ordered the r35s and from the review It looks to be a good little budget system over all.
With the budget handhelds I sometimes think it must be someone standing in a factory looking at a load of random spare parts thinking “what can we put together with these?!” Rather than any considered “this will pair best with that” thinking 😅
I think Anbernic has great options for a nice out of the box, satisfying and functional retro-gaming experience. The M17 with some of the alternative firmware worked fine to me...but might require additional tinkering experience.

Absolutely !
I would get more use out of this than sony's official effort
Haha, I just hope the Project X doesn’t end up being able to play more games!
Lol 😂str8 cap...
Es. La más mejor
En qué precio la conseguiste? Y que capacidad de memoria tiene?@@yeisonstebanmunozhurtado2778
Thanks for this review you just saved me from buying one now buddy 🙂👍
No problem, glad it was useful 🙂
But is a good option for retro games 🤔
Project X is also the name of a movie where monkeys get bombarded with radiation while riding in a flight simulator.
Haha! Sounds intriguing..!

for 40 bucks you can get a r36s. check out gamedweebs review on it. he mentions both consoles the m17 and the r36s apparently the r36s wins
With the performance of this machine I don't know why they put 2G of Ram in it 🙏🏽

@@Creative4Gaming exactly 💯🙏🏽
What would be the better alternative on a low budget?
Depending on the deals available, the R35\R36S and XU10 have been some pretty great budget handhelds recently

Do correct your info and mention in description, not 2 gb ram, just 256mb ram
Thank you for spotting the error!! Kicking myself for not spotting it myself
Reminds me of my Benss Handheld from back in the day. Ah the memories, boy that Handheld was crap. 😂
Aside from the shiny paint, the design is pretty nice. Too bad the performance is not there 😢
What Do you Rate this Handheld?
Does this have many games already on it?,
Does this have any PS1 Resident Evil games?? I will buy it if it has RE1..2 and 3
Mine only had RE1, though the gameslists are sometimes different - it's a relatively simple process to add your own ROMs though!
If you have 2 of these devices, is there multi-player capability?
yes
Cool stuff
Thank you!
The guy who don’t know how to play well to SNES F-Zero is not a real gamer… 😑
SNES F-Zero is one of too many games that I remember being way better at it that I must of been at launch
Ha, I game 8-10hrs a day. I don't like F-Zero. I'm pretty sure I am a real gamer 😂😂
