I love the Pixel 6 series, it definitely has it's issues. However I think that they've managed to get a huge number of them knocked out. I'm not justifying that they launched a device with so many issues, but I think price to performance wise Google definitely has a winner.
I recently got the pixel 6 in the past couple weeks. And I've not had any serious bug encounters myself so far. It's been amazingly stable. It's definitely got far less bloat than some other brands that I've dealt with. So far, it's a great device! I went from a Pixel 2 XL, but the real difference I see is from those who changed from Samsung devices that seemed like they just loved attracting all kinds of infections and attracting random installs.
My 6 pro "fried". The battery got hot. then the screen went black. You could feel a buzz when you pressed the controls but that all I got. The T-mobile tetech somehow got my data into the cloud, WHEW! I had a replacement phone within a day or so. That was about 3 weeks ago. So far so good!
Good update, but nothing on the fingerprint scanner. That is still an issue with mine. In fact I don't use the scanner now, it's to hit and miss. Do you have any comments about Google's position on the scanner?
I STILL haven't gotten the car Bluetooth connectivity issue solved. It still does it. I have even gotten car dealer to update the software in my Toyota 4Runner. I love the phone except for that. I can't drive anywhere without it dropping calls from Bluetooth. I have spent hours on the phone with Google support, reformatted the phone a few times.. Spent a grand for it. I have had no issues with my previous Google phones, Nexus 6, Pixel 3xl and 4xl.
Great update, love the video. I'd say my only advice for you homie is to try to experiment with different titles and thumbnails. The UA-cam algorithm really loves videos that give away only just enough information to pique interest without giving away the entire video. Good luck and keep it up!
Same thing happened with me, I was about to return it but decided to wait for the march update and BAM! Right after the update I did a factory reset and of course backed up all my stuff, but let me tell you right after the march update my Pixel 6 Pro literally transformed to the best phone ever, the battery is just amazing and the performance is buttery smooth with no more buggy issues, Cameras are just amazing too and the shutter speed of snapping a photo is speedy fast. The only downside is the fingerprint scanner and I'm starting to realize that it's not a software issue but a hardware issue, there's not much Google can do to make the fingerprint scanner any better because it's simply a hardware issue. Other than that this phone is amazing one of the best phones I've ever had in a long time. If Google can do another software update and add face unlock then that's it the Pixel 6 will be the total package.

I sold my p6 pro after Jan update. The battery/video was not flagship level. The auto brightness was ridiculously bad. I switched to the dark side (13promax) because of it.
A new 6pro user here, yeah I've noticed the auto brightness was not great. It's jumps around a lot. The battery however, WOW!! I am astounded by how good it is!! Now I did just come from a pixel 4 which could barely last an afternoon so having something that lasts from morning till night in one charge is mind boggling to me.
I'm looking at iphone too. I can't warm to my pixel 6, I've tried to like it . Too many inconvenient glitches. Auto brightness is ridiculous, screen is practically unusable outside during bright lighting conditions. To me the screen is sub par anyway, 500 nits isn't flagship quality brightness. I can't take outdoor photos as I can't see the screen, even on max auto brightness ( when it does happen to work) an iphone 13 ' s normal manual brightness is 800 nits ,which is the same as pixels max Auto brightness
Man deciding between the 6 and 6 pro is tough. I want that telephoto camera and the 512 GB storage but I don't know if it's worth 300/400 dollars more.
You have cloud storage so storage is not a deal breaker and for 300/400 $ you would need to take a lot of telephoto shots to justify the extra cost. That said I would not buy a Pixel now if I'd known about the faulty fingerprint reader which Google have not fixed and not even replied to my emails. I don't use my fingerprint reader at all now on my Pixel 6.
You also have to consider longer battery life, and screen sizes, and the pro having a better screen in almost all aspects, and a 4GB difference in ram, and 3.1 MP difference in the front camera. In my opinion, if youd prefer a larger phone it is definitely worth the extra money

I know Pro has 5000mAh battery and better LTPO screen whose purpose is to have smaller impact on battery autonomy, but even if I put them both on 1080p and 60Hz, 6 will still last little bit longer then 6 Pro. I guess it's because their difference in screen size. Bigger screen will consume battery more. To be honest, I'm not sure that LTPO screen on Pro model is doing what is suppose to do, because it should have way better autonomy then it has with that technology.
Please don't fall for 7 years of update , phones are barely usable after 4 years . Create a lot of heats , battery goes to hospital , features get dated . Remember its an ever changing world .
Went from Samsung S9+ and the battery life of the Pixel 6 is way better. Charging is much slower, using the samsung charger (which is not 30W), but it's not an issue for me as I charge over night with the adaptive charging feature (which slow charges to go easy on the battery but makes sure it's charged for when the alarm rings).

You guys are on April update, my Pixel 6 doesn't even do the March update. It just keeps showing as downloading for hours.....and nothing happens. I gave up on doing the update, and then the phone kept notifying that update is available. But again, doesn't update. No idea what to do about it....
Perform a hard reboot then set it (the update) running on WiFi before you sleep. By morning it will be done. I haven't had an issue yet but you might be dealing with a flakey / unstable 4G/WiFi signal that keeps interrupting the install.

you should probably get the 6...the pro apparently has more bugs, it's harder to get cases (it got a cruved display), for some people it's battery is worse than the pixel 6 and the performance is basically the same.
Yes. Go regular 6. Best deal for sure. I compared and played with both. When I went to buy the rep was using a 6 pro. Said if his wasn't free he would go 6.
I have a 6pro and surely is a great phone. No bugs or issues for me, fingerprint sensor is perfect, the phone itself doesn't overheat, the battery is great (let it settle for a week or two just for the AI to learn your habits, I went from 4hrs SoT to 6.5), display is fantastic (personally, I love curved display but that's up to you)... And, for me, the telephoto is a game changer. It's really incredible how many details the camera can capture, even zoomed 20x.
When I used only physical SIM I had no issues with call drops. But when I started to use it with eSIM its almost impossible to make a call without a drop on both sim cards. Any experience with that?
So annoying, I've used the Google pixel phones for the last five or six years, the 6 Pro Bluetooth still disconnects phone calls in pretty much any year including new of 4Runners and many other Toyotas, if they can't fix Bluetooth phone connectivity in 6 months I'd call it a fail.
What about fingerprint scanner? Mine is working ones from 10 times. Almost every time I have to use the pin number... Is the single thing I can complain about pixel 6.
Are you using a screen protector? Have you updated the phone to the April 5 release patch? I haven't had a single issue with the FPR to date. Just re-enroll the same finger multiple times if nothing else works.
I love my 6 pro. The software might me more basic but I kinda love that about it. I also like the design and just the feel of the software and where google is going with it especially with android 13. But I also agree with you that the curved display is not worth it and I wish the 6 pro didn’t have it.
Never had a problem with the curve display I actually love it alot makes it look modern and high end. I never accidentally open apps or swipe because of it idk how people have a issue
ive really loved my pixel 6 pro since i got it about a week ago, no bugs really. i just dont think its the phone for me... far too large and fragile in design. and its not even that much faster in practice than my 5 year old motorola z2 force ive been using, since im by no means a power user. but for the $480 price tag i got it for used off of a friend, its pretty great tbh
Funny, I have the SIM in the Z2 and I was informed by Tmobile that it has been decommissioned. Trash heap. I am very upset because as you say, it really moves. I ordered the Pixel 6 today. I will keep the Z2. If I get frustrated, I will get GrapheneOS. I am finished with Apple after 14 yrs. It will cost me around $185 with a new line, tax and 99$ charge for the phone. Good luck!

Hella frustrating. Bout a 1st generation iPhone SE(because it’s small), but extremely frustrating. It’s like it’s purposely hard to do simple things like downloading a file, or having a number row key in the keyboard, or setting default apps. It’s so restricted it is not a good experience. Don’t get me started on the “no back button “ for navigation. Other apps perform totally different or even worse and lack features like most Google apps, no desktop view within the browser and good luck trying to even access the phone’s hard drive with a computer, nothing shows up😳😠. Outside of system updates for years….I don’t understand why people like them so much.😠

The Note 20 Ultra was one of the last Samsung with SD so I went for that. Not disappointed but it was pricey for an older model. (I carry an iPhone 13Pro for pics so the Note 20 camera doesn't matter to me, but it's been fine.) Would've loved a newer phone w 1440p @ 120 but not possible if I want micro SD 😫
My pixel 6 works perfectly now ☺️ I looked at the pixel 7, but the 7 didn't inspire me at all . Subjectively speaking, I think the pixel is a nicer looking device. One advantage of the 6 is it doesn't scratch if you sneeze 🤧

I've had a 6 pro so I'm a little more privileged when it came to specs and stuff, and honestly it runs amazing. I can reach 7.5 to maybe 8 hours of battery and that's enough for me cuz I don't use my phone much during school and stuff. Idk about the battery on pixel 6 but it should run fine??? I thought it was enough from what reviewers were saying or you're just a mega power user but fair enough it isnt for your liking. As for the charging if you bought the supported 30w fast charger from Google then that won't be a problem at all. Also sorry to hear it let you down, hopefully you can find a solution.
Being here since the G1 then Nexus and now all pixels currently 6 pro...I'm a little disappointed 😞. I really thought by this time they'd have it perfected pretty much. The battery life sucks, and constant network issues (Verizon). The screen freezes also and I hate the curved screen. I'm keeping this phone because of the camera.....that's it. Hate to say after all this time next year's iPhone maybe the way, unless Google actually gets it right.

Plenty of videos on UA-cam available with side by side videos. Majority of people on social media use iPhone to upload videos on their IG Stories, TikTok because of the video quality. Pixel has gotten better, but in my opinion Android as a whole need to figure out optimization for flagship devices to really take advantage of their advanced imaging system.
So Insightful video ⚡ Is P6 better than all other smartphones in this price range? ~ $599. I wish to get it from US to use in India. My only worry is that it doesn't come with an international warranty. Also did any P6 face hardware issues, if yes I need to rethink my decision. 😕

I got a white marble Grip Case from dbrand and it really makes my Pixel 6 noticeable and stand out. It also feels great to hold.

Common problem Bluetooth WiFi and calls dropping out....reason rushing the 7 model out apparently cant fix the 6 series.
Yeah it's cool and all, but it doesn't change the fact I have to have my face right against the door if I want to signal

iPhones I believe can play genshin in 120 fps. So yes there is a phone or phones that can run it fine 60 and 120fps

What about fingerprint scanner? Mine is working ones from 10 times. Almost every time I have to use the pin number... Is the single thing I can complain about pixel 6.
Are you using a screen protector? Have you updated the phone to the April 5 release patch? I haven't had a single issue with the FPR to date. Just re-enroll the same finger multiple times if nothing else works.
I love my 6 pro. The software might me more basic but I kinda love that about it. I also like the design and just the feel of the software and where google is going with it especially with android 13. But I also agree with you that the curved display is not worth it and I wish the 6 pro didn’t have it.
Never had a problem with the curve display I actually love it alot makes it look modern and high end. I never accidentally open apps or swipe because of it idk how people have a issue

ive really loved my pixel 6 pro since i got it about a week ago, no bugs really. i just dont think its the phone for me... far too large and fragile in design. and its not even that much faster in practice than my 5 year old motorola z2 force ive been using, since im by no means a power user. but for the $480 price tag i got it for used off of a friend, its pretty great tbh
Funny, I have the SIM in the Z2 and I was informed by Tmobile that it has been decommissioned. Trash heap. I am very upset because as you say, it really moves. I ordered the Pixel 6 today. I will keep the Z2. If I get frustrated, I will get GrapheneOS. I am finished with Apple after 14 yrs. It will cost me around $185 with a new line, tax and 99$ charge for the phone. Good luck!

Hella frustrating. Bout a 1st generation iPhone SE(because it’s small), but extremely frustrating. It’s like it’s purposely hard to do simple things like downloading a file, or having a number row key in the keyboard, or setting default apps. It’s so restricted it is not a good experience. Don’t get me started on the “no back button “ for navigation. Other apps perform totally different or even worse and lack features like most Google apps, no desktop view within the browser and good luck trying to even access the phone’s hard drive with a computer, nothing shows up😳😠. Outside of system updates for years….I don’t understand why people like them so much.😠

@@TheBlackleech7 I am a photographer so I really wanted/needed a phone with a 1440p screen and micro SD (all my photos, plus easy to back up). The Note 20 Ultra was one of the last Samsung with SD so I went for that. Not disappointed but it was pricey for an older model. (I carry an iPhone 13Pro for pics so the Note 20 camera doesn't matter to me, but it's been fine.)
Would've loved a newer phone w 1440p @ 120 but not possible if I want micro SD 😫

My pixel 6 works perfectly now ☺️ I looked at the pixel 7, but the 7 didn't inspire me at all . Subjectively speaking, I think the pixel is a nicer looking device. One advantage of the 6 is it doesn't scratch if you sneeze 🤧

Well I guess it's my bad luck cuz so far I feel like this is the worst phone I ever had, the battery drains so fast, honestly if I use it for 3 hours straight it would totally die it doesn't charge fast it takes forever!!! I've had a 6 pro so I'm a little more privileged when it came to specs and stuff, and honestly it runs amazing. I can reach 7.5 to maybe 8 hours of battery and that's enough for me cuz I don't use my phone much during school and stuff. Idk about the battery on pixel 6 but it should run fine??? I thought it was enough from what reviewers were saying or you're just a mega power user but fair enough it isnt for your liking. As for the charging if you bought the supported 30w fast charger from Google then that won't be a problem at all. Also sorry to hear it let you down, hopefully you can find a solution.

Being here since the G1 then Nexus and now all pixels currently 6 pro...I'm a little disappointed 😞. I really thought by this time they'd have it perfected pretty much. The battery life sucks, and constant network issues (Verizon). The screen freezes also and I hate the curved screen. I'm keeping this phone because of the camera.....that's it. Hate to say after all this time next year's iPhone maybe the way, unless Google actually gets it right.

Plenty of videos on UA-cam available with side by side videos. Majority of people on social media use iPhone to upload videos on their IG Stories, TikTok because of the video quality. Pixel has gotten better, but in my opinion Android as a whole need to figure out optimization for flagship devices to really take advantage of their advanced imaging system.
