Honestly, my favorite thing about the 6a is not the battery life, sound quality, or camera (although it is super impressive), but rather the amount of QoL features it has compared to other android phones. Things like call screening, live captioning, magic eraser, and live transcripting in the recorder app are super minor yet super useful when you do need them. It's really cool
I've had my 6a for three months now. It has been pretty solid for me. My only complaint has been the battery life; but I will keep it on battery saver mode once in a while and that helps. For $299 I can't really expect much more. Really solid camera, nice Google features. Thumbs up 👍
What do you do on your phone? You should know that this phone is centered around camera and not gaming performance. So if you play games a lot(idc if you play light or heavy games just tell me how much you play games on it) it obviously will lose battery fast.

Got my 6a with a trade in on an old samsung & black friday deal for £61.00 . Loving my pixel 6a , added a pair of pixel buds pro & could not be happier . I have had no issues with the fingerprint sensor & no glitches , battery is fine for my usage , 60hrz is more than adequate . Phones are tools not life support machines . I will keep the phone until the end of its life . Brilliant phone & just the right size & does everything i need for a great price . I own it and agree with everything. Pleasant to hold, beautiful and well built. The screen is normal, colors are good and the animations smooth. Good audio, even with headphones, and no croaks. Charging is very slow, but the autonomy is good and pretty well managed. The camera is good, expecially in videos, although the photography is ALL computational given the older sensor. Get the 6a for $299! I'd bet that it's trade in value will be at least $300 when the 7a comes out. Just keep the display clean and don't drop it. Great phone 👍👍👍
The 6a's trade in might be high only if you are trading in for another google phone. On Apple/Samsung, the 6a has been out less than one year and its trade in is already less than $200; the iphone 12 which is almost a 3 year old phone, has a trade in of $300.
@@purplecrayon7281 I was responding to someone who said they were waiting for the 7A. The trade-in value will be at least the $299 you would be paying for the 6a plus you get a great phone to use till then. The 6a if you bought it at full retail (very few do) has lost $249. The iphone has lost $539 (it was $839 at retail and you most likely paid that since iphones don't go on sale) Take care
Love the phone. $200 from Xfinity! As a matter of fact, dropped my first one and cracked the screen😢 it was !$180 to replace screen so I ordered a new 6a for $200 from Xfinity❤. Have had some fingerprint errors but not many.. I take 2 selfies a year so the front camera is not really needed. Missed the 3.5 mm jack but bought a wireless fm converter for the car no worries. Great phone for price.
I went to a best buy wanting an iphone 14 pro, magic island and all. My 11 was filled to the brim. They required activation, so I walked out with this instead because it looked cool in black. Very satisfied with what I got. I hope we go back to those cool edgy designs of around 2013-15.
My Pixel 2 is going down almost dead😪now waiting for the Pixel 6a I purchased to arrive and after seeing this video and reading other comments I am feeling good about my purchase.
@@pragadeeshsv6596 For me it has been. A slightly larger screen than the pixel2 $529 Australian. I only use it for texting and calls with the odd photo so I literally do not need anything better and when I updated I plugged the two phones together and within 15 minutes all my stuff including apps contacts the whole kit and caboodle was in the new phone. And the battery for me is excellent. I am actually pleased with it.
Coming from 4a i am impressed with the upgrade in every edge every margin but the size could be more compact. 4a handling was swifter than 6a. But 2023 is about bigger phones i m might just an old model guy
I really am fan of the Boxy Look. Can't afford S Ultra now. So I'm eyeing on it but I need to play 1-2 Hour of Genshin Impact, without destroying the Phone in the process.

Upgraded from the 5a to 6a 2 months ago because the 5a's screen cracked! The 6a is great; love the rather campact form factor though I would prefer a wider but less tall screen like the vanilla iPhone, battery life is great it got better with time. I had to return it after 1 month bcause the main microphone stooped working but turned out to be a software problem that went away after flashing a new software. In regards to heating, it gets warm significantly during set-up but not during regular use, only one time I got a heating warning and it was whilw playing music under direct sun while keeping it inside a black leather case. PS. i bought mine used in mint condition fot 800 AED which equals 220$, great deal.
🐸🐸🐸 I've owned pixel a series phone before and I would say it is the best value for money. Even if it ages it still works well like my pixel 3a xl still works well for day to day use
I am not a power user, but battery is just bad on all Pixels 6 and 7. I'll stay on the 6 until the 8 comes along. If they fix battery on 8 that's my next phone, if not i will have to change.
I disagree with the 6a not being able to outperform other processors or not for a power user, Juan Bagnells got videos showing it's one of the most capable phones when it comes to video editing and rendering thanks to the Tensor chip🐸🐸🐸🐸
Nice reveal! it helped a lot! ..But I hope that more phones coming in the future, will still provide the "old" way of charging or maybe that the user can decide. Because holy hell its a pain in the A to find a phone that wont irritate a heart implant these days. For real. If you're a person with a defibrilator, youre almost stuck with phones from 2018. We cant dry our hair when we dont have a hairdryer from 10 years ago, we cant cook when the oven is too high or we are too short, and now we cant even use our phone lika a normal human being. :^) Wireless charging is cool, ok. But not for everyone. People uploading unbox or testing videos always motivate the developers to get wireless charging for everyone. Please, think about "everyone" before saying that. :)
Probably the best of the A-line. Not because it's the newest rather "for me" it ticks all the boxes for my needs. Looks -Top! size -Top! UI-Top, Performance - Top! Consistency - almost Perfect! Camera- Awesome! Don't game a lot (used to but somehow lost interest along the way) so can't give a solid feedback on that. My favorite go-to for UA-cam and IG, don't know why but media/content consumption on SM is just heart-warming! I might just keep this till 8a or 9a, who knows...
I wish just once a UA-camr would talk about the most important thing that a phone needs to do. The main reason I will ever buy a phone is to make a cellular connection and talk on it without calls dropping. And don't tell me it's all the carrier fault because I have a unlocked S22 on TMobile and it never drop calls. Every other unlocked phone I've had on TMobile would. Please forgive me for getting off the subject and I aways wanted a Pixel but I heard they have connection issues.
My sister had to return her 6a because of the lack of connectivity problem where she lives. She got an S22+ to replace the 6a. I'm sure that the 7a will have a better modem, like in the 7 and 7 Pro, so this will be fixed. I recently got a like-new 4a and it is one of my favorite phones. I hope the 7a will have a headphone jack and a smaller size, close to that of the 4a. I think they would have a big hit with such a phone. I have a Pixel 7 as well as the 4a and I like them both. If the 7a was a little smaller than the 6a and brought back the headphone jack, I would buy it.
These are the videos I love! Follow up to phones that came out earlier in the year! Great video! I actually was going to ask, if you're free to answer, my dad needs a phone for his business. He needs a phone he can rely on, should he get a 6a, nothing phone 1 or perhaps shell out a bit more and get a 7 or just wait for 7a?
Think the 3a review was one of the 1st videos I saw from this channel. Good work since then, men. 👍 R you sure it'll get android 16? 🤔 I for sure thought 15 but not 16. Where'd you see that?
I love this phone tensor chip makes it so much faster plus it's the chip that's in the 6 a nd 6 pro can't go wrong with this phone the camera is fantastic and take the best pictures I've ever taken and I've had all the flag ships and none of them take better pictures than this phone.
I'm currently using a 2018 Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro. Still super fast, great camera (gcam), fingerprint sensor and face scan although looking for a new device since the battery is degrading fast. Not sure if the Pixel 6a is worth the upgrade though. I'm eyeing on the Pixel 7 but it's just too expensive and out of my budget.
It's great. Every single phone phone will feel the same. The only difference is the hardware and the price. A pixel 4a will feel the same as the pixel 7. It's super smooth since pixels are stock android and engineered by Google. If you are tight on money, I'd wait but i would replace my battery. Battery's to replace will be about $80 or less. And with that you will get the full potential of you phone again. If not, get the pixel 6a or wait for the pixel 7a.
I just want to know what game you were playing, with the blue background, something bouncing around the screen, and in portrait mode. It looks like I might like it. 🐸
On your review, Regular charger charges normally and takes 51 min to full charge from 74%. Nexode 140 w shows it takes 50 min to full charge from 76%. Do you see any advantage of this extra bucks for Nexode? Did anyone notice this?
You can't charge a phone faster than it is rated. For example, if a phone is rated for 20W charging and you have a 100W charger, then the phone will still charge at 20W.
@@karthikeyans8922 I did watch and read. I gave you an explanation as to why your phone isn't charging any faster with the Nexode. @@karthikeyans8922 Ah okay. He was implying that the Nexode was better than other chargers out there, which isn't really true. Its probably because it was an ad and he had to "pitch it" to us. The only real advantage the Nexode has is that it has the ability to charge larger devices like laptops and also has the ability to charge phones without damaging the batteries. I'm sure there are less expensive brands than Nexode for this, it isn't ground breaking tech. Not sure why he made it seem like it was

@@purplecrayon7281
I was responding to someone who said they were waiting for the 7A. The trade-in value will be at least the $299 you would be paying for the 6a plus you get a great phone to use till then.
The 6a if you bought it at full retail (very few do) has lost $249. The iphone has lost $539 (it was $839 at retail and you most likely paid that since iphones don't go on sale)
Take care
@@BillUtah0 point to uograde a budget phone to a budget phone after 1 year 😂
Love the phone.
How is the performance, is it worth buying?
@@pragadeeshsv6596 For me it has been. A slightly larger screen than the pixel2 $529 Australian. I only use it for texting and calls with the odd photo so I literally do not need anything better and when I updated I plugged the two phones together and within 15 minutes all my stuff including apps contacts the whole kit and caboodle was in the new phone. And the battery for me is excellent. I am actually pleased with it.
I'm watching this on my 6a same colour ❤️
Hey how is the battery back up
Coming from 4a i am impressed with the upgrade in every edge every margin but the size could be more compact.
Another Opinion here been using my pixel 6a past couple of months now didn't had big issues as per your complaint for the slow charging get a 30W+ USB-C PD 3.0 PPS charger. or 25W + USB-C PD 3.0 PPS charger. It'll complete its full charge from 10 to 90 within 40 mins
Got mine 2 weeks ago after trading in my smashed iPhone SE 2. Pretty good phone, no need for spending £1200 on a phone
Yeap - switched 3 days ago from apple, saying good bye to aaplewatch vs garmin, iphone 13 vs pixel 6, macbookaiir vs surface ….I has spend few hours on YT how Android works…I am impressed. 6A since I didn’t want take a risk with expensive P7, I don’t care of wirelles charging and screen dpi….so overall - Incredible phone, not missing at all the apple except one thing: the case protections for Pixels are not great as for apple :( Great video by the way ;)
After ditching iphone 14 pro due to financial decisions I have to get this one and can say I will keep it till it break down ❤ smoothest Android I have used with 60hz
Just picked mine up for £299.00 , I have gone from a N9 note and I love this phone !
I've had mine since August so far it has 15 hour battery life even with my intense gaming
The Games I usually play is dragon ball legends and Fortnite btw Fortnite is a battery drainer I recommend playing with a charger and dbl does ok with battery doesn't drain as fast but still guzzles
I got pixel 6a in September 2022 BBD sale on Flipkart at ₹27,700.
Look at it now 25 without sale
Got mine couple months ago, great phone!
Worth purchase,no regrets 🙂
Perfect video! - I was thinking of Pixel 6a. Il probably buy it and then w8 for iPhone 15 to get on sales.
6:57 Which launcher is that? Looks sick
I picked this up for 350 Inc tax AUD (220 USD) it's dirt cheap for a temp phone till iPhone 15 pro max comes out. Very happy with the speed too.
First time watched your material! So clean, really loveeeee that kind of content. Greetings from Poland
I know its a budget phone but I wish there was a 256gb version
🐸 Thank you! 🐸
🐸🐸🐸 I've owned pixel a series phone before and I would say it is the best value for money. Even if it ages it still works well like my pixel 3a xl still works well for day to day use
I bought this phone for $120 at a local pawnshop and I'm loving it so far.
I love this phone, my only complaint is it easily gets hot while using mobile data, it can go over 42°C just when using mobile data or hotspot
Really? Is the heating bad while taking pictures and while using the internet??
tempted to buy one for my dad who still has a samsung galaxy a5. they go for $350 on marketplace.
I am not a power user, but battery is just bad on all Pixels 6 and 7. I'll stay on the 6 until the 8 comes along. If they fix battery on 8 that's my next phone, if not i will have to change.
Using those chargers, what is the pixel 6a`s fastest possible charging rate / duration?
I'm using 30 watt, usually for me to get to 100% from 6% will take 2 hours or 1 hour 50 mins.
@@ggking4002 Um, Pixel 6a only supports up to 18W. So while you can use a 30 watt charger, it will only charge at 18W.
Where are the wallpapers from? Look incredible!!! Like the vid
My pixel 6a at times I cannot disconnect a call after I made a call until the person from the other end do. What could be the reason?
It's a wonderful budget device.
I disagree with the 6a not being able to outperform other processors or not for a power user, Juan Bagnells got videos showing it's one of the most capable phones when it comes to video editing and rendering thanks to the Tensor chip🐸🐸🐸🐸
Before it becomes hot. That's the problem with Tensor chips.
What wallpapers do you use?
I've had mine since Christmas and everything is fast and snappy only problem is the battery isn't "great"
Watching this on my 6a
Had to get a newer pixel because I had the 3a for the last 4 years with no issues but also no updates.
damn that's unfortunate but i do agree. wireless charging ain't that wonderful anyway. i never care about it everytime i buy a new phone
Proud Pixel Owner! No issues at all. What’s the name of the running Mario type game you played in between?
Geometry dash
Probably the best of the A-line. Not because it's the newest rather "for me" it ticks all the boxes for my needs. Looks -Top! size -Top! UI-Top, Performance - Top! Consistency - almost Perfect! Camera- Awesome!
Don't game a lot (used to but somehow lost interest along the way) so can't give a solid feedback on that.
My favorite go-to for UA-cam and IG, don't know why but media/content consumption on SM is just heart-warming!
I might just keep this till 8a or 9a, who knows...
Is it a good idea getting the 6a now to replace my Samsung A33? Bought the A33 b4 launch of the 6a and i always wanted to try a Pixel phone
Great video 🐸:)
Pixel 6a selling in refurbished market for ₹ 14,000 [160$] in india ...in this price it's a steal deal..
Like all phone reviewers you missed to cover the fundamental function of the phone that's Call Quality
Great review!
What’s the best music player that can play imported files from ITunes VIA a computer ?thinking of swapping out my very old IPHONE
R you sure it'll get android 16? 🤔 I for sure thought 15 but not 16. Where'd you see that?
Need the same long term review for Nothing Phone 1
I love this phone tensor chip makes it so much faster plus it's the chip that's in the 6 a nd 6 pro can't go wrong with this phone the camera is fantastic and take the best pictures I've ever taken and I've had all the flag ships and none of them take better pictures than this phone.
As always, love your coverage and content! 🐸
That wallpaper at 0:28 is so nice! Where can i find that?
6:24 What game was that?
I love it bro keep up the good work and I love the video 👍
I'm currently using a 2018 Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro. Still super fast, great camera (gcam), fingerprint sensor and face scan although looking for a new device since the battery is degrading fast. Not sure if the Pixel 6a is worth the upgrade though. I'm eyeing on the Pixel 7 but it's just too expensive and out of my budget.
I recommend waiting for the 7A. Wait for a couple of months

Did you get The google case for it. I have liked it so far. But the Google case is already bending and braking.

I noticed some pixels were having a fingerprint malfunction is it fixed or still a issue
Just got the pixel 6a for $300
hey with the charging.. i got 30watts brick and my pixel 6a charges completely in 2hr15mins!
is this okay ? or should i change to another charge!?
thnx for this mann
Just 1 "BIG" issue. They don't yet have manual camera feature. And naming a phone as "Pixel" it would not be a big thing to ask for.
Where are these wallpapers and widgets from ?
it takes 2 hours to charge the battery. thats what i hate,
On your review, Regular charger charges normally and takes 51 min to full charge from 74%.
@@kota4160 Do watch the video and read my comment.
@@karthikeyans8922 I did watch and read. I gave you an explanation as to why your phone isn't charging any faster with the Nexode. If you need a direct answer to your question, the Nexode does not give an advantage in charging over a 20W charger. Do read my previous comment for the explanation for this
@@kota4160 Technically I got the the reason. I am not questioning why it is not charging fast. All I am saying is, he is projecting that this nexode is way ahead kind of impression. But truth is less than 2 % only its faster. Hope you get my point
