Sally, realized that Maple is getting too dependent on the shield & defence so she advised her.
If maple gets backed into a corner it's better to throw the shield away
For Maples ACTUAL Vitallity, it would probably take a minute to calculate with all the multipliers skills and equipment she has stacked on top of each other.
Scary part is that she's level 30.... which is half of what Payne is.
By the time she reaches level 60, who knows how many digits her VIT might be stacked to?

BUT, she said that HALF WAY THROUGH THE SERIES. Before that crazy guentlet run with the Twins, before she did all the extra work with Iz And the rest, I think before she even got Atrocity and Machine God. I don't remember her ever saying what her level or even her EXACT Vitality was, just "broke 5 digits", and that might be before all the stacking, just what it's BASE was.
She's more of a final boss than the final boss. And she's doing this out of pure stupidity

I don't know if anyone mentioned it, but each time you die in this event, you're weaker than before due to a stat penalty. And if you die a 5th time, you're out for good.
Any guild member dying is technically a detriment to the guild overall since they'll get progressively easier to kill each time.
I'm pretty sure Atrocity doesn't have a time limit but it can only be used once a day.

As powerful as maple and crew are, they're still basically a team of
Machine God would just obliterated them easily, and that would make the episode boring/repetitive in my opinion because MG has already shown its OPness. That's why Atrocity was the endgame skill making it more hilarious. Payne didn't "have" to use any skills as mention in the previous episode because he didn't "need" to for the other guilds. Their plan was probably for Maple to waste most of her skills in the event; that explains why she didn't use Full Status Machine God, and any devour skills at all against Holy Sword. The atrocity skill just happen to caught them off guard because they did not expect that nor knows about it yet. Maple could easily own them if they battle fairly with all their skills available. End of story. LOL
Thinking about Machine God it’s different from Maple’s other forms beside the obvious it’s Tech base not Magic in origin but the others were rewards for completing quests while she got this one mid mission I’m thinking their is more to Machine God than meets the eye especially considering the first Machine God told Maple to use his power to defeat the “One who I was”
Not only that, but I think if Maple used [Machine God] in her own base she would've run the risk of wiping out her teammates along with Holy Sword. Especially if she used [Deploy All Armaments]. There's no way she would've been able to point all her lasers at _only_ Holy Sword. Look at how she obliterated Flame Emperors with it. The only reason Mai, Yui, and Syrup didn't get blown up with Flame Emperors was because they were at a far enough distance away from the blast radius as well as the fact that from certain perspectives, [Machine God] doesn't have 360° of reach, so Maple couldn't fire any weapons directly in back of her but again, that's only from the camera angles we see when she's using [Machine God]. Bit of a crack theory of mine.
Also, since Maple Tree is a small guild, they had the advantage of fighting in an enclosed space. It looked like the field layout for the event were: small guilds were hidden in caves/mountainsides, Medium Guilds were in dense forested areas, while larger guilds had wide open areas with buildings to accommodate their larger numbers. So if Maple fully optimized her [Machine God] skill, not only would she have TPK'd her entire party, her entire base would've been blown up almost entirely.
It's probably also why Payne chose to take The Order of the Holy Sword's top players to raid Maple Tree's base because taking their entire, or even a majority of their forces would've been cumbersome. Also, it seems like Payne and his teammates wanted a fair fight. Sending in waves of cannon fodder to exhaust Maple's forces probably seemed unfair to him.
Payne also wanted to witness Maple's abilities up close and personal too. He may be the top ranked player in the game, but he knew not to underestimate Maple or her guild from the beginning. Payne knew she was a wild card from the first event. He didn't know what to expect considering Maple has been min-maxing her defense, acquiring, and improvising with new skills from the start. Yeah, everyone clocked her as a noob but she's so creative with her abilities that predicting what she'll do next is close to impossible. Payne didn't really care about stealing their orb, he just wanted to gather intel in case he'd have challenge them later. And even with all those precautions he'd taken up to that point she _still_ managed to catch him off guard.
But it was all in good fun, so no harm no foul.
So that you know, Machine God should not have been a skill. It's something you get only in the event of the said God to fight it. Basically, it's the cog object that sticks to your armor and, by destroying it, turns into the mecha parts.
It should be fine, unless you have the only armor in the game with "destruction growth" OP property. Which means your armor reappears new and shining after you're done with the machine god form and its stats are now even bigger, still with the cog embedded in it.
And since to activate again that ability you have to physically destroy your armor again, well... Maple has basically gained a cheat mode to voluntarily make her armor set even more insane. A set that comes with its own skill slots too, which rise in number every 15 levels of the owner.
@@ObatongoSensei Yeah… that’s just bloody ridiculous. 😅 The way her skills and equipment synergize with each other like that is… well, the only word I can say is ridiculous. The fact that only half of it is due to luck is hilarious.
This meme actually applies to Maple since her VIT is over five digits: “It’s over 9000!!!”
Don't forget,there were 3 there guilds that survive, so they have to be strong too, I assume. Maybe hints for what to come also.

maple is a great shield class is "great shielder" which is same as Payne, its evident on the skill "stout guardian" which is only a "Great shielder" exclusive skill so no other class can get this skill
maple is all on defense, Chrome "the maroon and the only guy in maple tree guild is balance build" while "Payne" is focused on DPS despite having a defensive class, this is why hes not carrying his main equipment "great shield" to further increase his speed but instead uses a broadsword
also to further explain how OP the atrocity skill on maple:
1st of all maple's HP is only 40 since the start till the end of anime, only her defense is high, by activating Atrocity this gives her 1000 HP making her 20+ times more durable and gains 50 agility and 50 strength making her a literal boss since her defense is same, and if her atrocity dies she immediately reverts back to normal and still be able to fight, this is heavily nerfed with 1 use per day tho
Machine god: basically makes maple's items useless since they are sacrificed/broken so maple can use parts of the machine god, which fits her best since everytime her dark armor breaks it grows stronger, so the more she uses it the more free VIT she gets, but its limited by the amount of breaks her armor can get everyday (the amount is not confirmed)
and SEASON 2 is actually confirmed at the end of the last episode, probably will be aired on 2021

its just overall payne is DPS build, since the otehr class i saw on class selection is "Great sword" which is surely sluggish swordsman so i think Payne choose greatshielder to get high defense at the start and using his stat growth to build DPS along the way, also greatshieders have separate shield and short swords/dagger IDK maybe payne has a swordshield special item he got but its not stated
payne uses a what it looks like a broadsword, which is evident on its short handle, longswords/greatswords are swords that would have higher shielding capabilities and should have longer handle to allow both hands to move freely with grip
but seeing payne's playstyle i think hes like sally where he focus on DPS since defending against attacks is pointless if your skilled enough to parry and dodge them
The fact that Payne uses a broadsword should indicate that he is not a large shield user, since they are limited to short swords, like Maple's. He probably is from a more balanced class and he has found a way to get a skill he should not have been able to unlock.

Epic anime! One of the best. I am happy you finally watched it. That was so fun to watch your reactions and watch anime again and again. It is that good. Top tier anime.
He accepted death cause the counter shudda killed him if not for stout guardian leaving him with 1hp same as maple howewver maple gets 1k HP in atrocity form to cancel the atrocity they need to take 1k HP down and maple goes back to being base maple but with all her health back I'm assuming so going atrocity was maples final line of defence in that cause she already used her stout guardian that being said maple dint technically died once during the guild war which is no small feat considering she fought two of the strongest guilds in the ranking
What I find strange is that Stout Guardian should be a large shield user skill only and Payne is not one of them. I wonder how was he able to get it.

@@ObatongoSensei Frederica has a skill sharing ability. So they just dumped all the skills that their party had that might be useful against Maple on Payne. Which is why he was able to use superspeed as well, I think.
@@coltonwilliams4153 That still doesn't answer why Payne had a skill restricted only to large shields, since no one in his attack party is one. Payne is a greatsword, Frederica is a staff, Drag is a greataxe and the last one is a skirmisher similar to Sally.
@@ObatongoSensei That’s where the anime messed up. They were actually supposed to show up with a couple dozen people that were going to provide support, and that’s where the extra skills came from, as that was those guys’ whole purpose. For some reason, they cut those people, but Stout Guardian is an important point. Maybe that’s why they never explained the skill sharing?

@YaBoyRockLee ok, but thank u for replying to me. And also dis might be a spoiler for u but someone managed theorise one of the events that maple will be having to participate in the second season and i was utterly shocked by it, it was kind of funny and impressive at the same time props to you.
I'd say that Payne or Sally are the best players since Maple basically got that strong due to luck and absolute crap game design. Simple solution. Stop making random side quests that grant God level abilities that anyone from any class can obtain and regardless of stat do the same damage
I agree, Maple has stupid plot armor and the devs game design is broken. Maple was low level but she defeated a strong boss, if this was a balanced game, Maple would’ve died quickly because she is low level. But this game has a fixed skill damage apparently, so your level doesn’t matter on how you deal damage. Even if you’re level 1 but has a strong skill, you can beat anyone in a 1v1. Also, it seems like no one does boss fights, quests and world exploration other than maple, she gets all her skills and ultra-rare items from that. Payne’s Lvl 60 and you would think that he already cleared the world (explored the whole world, defeated all the bosses, getting rare items and skills from monsters, etc.) but he only has like 5 skills, although the damage is really high, but he should have at least the same amount of skills as maple.
@@albertcasaigne6089 That’s because the game is broken, your level does not matter in this game, it’s the skills that matters and the rarity of your items. Even Maple defeated a hydra when she was just started, she should’ve instantly died but for some reason her attacks are actually hurting the boss which makes no sense. And it looks like 90% of the players are garbage, maple’s the only one doing what you actually need to do in an open world, and thats exploring. The others are just farming and fighting random monsters, no wonder Maple is LEAGUES above everyone.
@@albertcasaigne6089 She got poison immunity which made the Hydra not much of a threat to maple. But poison is not the only attack the hydra has, the hydra tried to lock/squeeze her just like how snakes do irl, and it was going to bite her head off. But she tried to bit it instead, of course her biting it would deal damage no matter how weak the damage is but her bite actually hurt the Hydra. The hydra let go of maple because it got hurt from her biting it which didn’t make sense because her level was like more or less 10. I heard she ate the Hydra for hours not as quickly as how it was portrayed in the anime, but that is still pure bs. Did the Hydra just stood there for hours and let maple eat her?
@@nateriver8119Biting the enemy counts as "HP absorbing" skill in the game, with the supplement of free HP + Maple's high defense she probably could eat through the Hydra's attack.

Maple is the most powerful player at the moment...but Payne is the 'true' best player.
She is an ultimate defence with op abilities... Payne however is pure skill and hard work.
As a single player Maple is number 1 right now with Payne a very close 2nd...no question. Payne is her only true rival.
That said, the only reason Maple won is because of her extra op abilities. Take those away and she wouldn't be worth anything.
As for the guilds ranking, I think Maple Tree may have the ability to become second if they really wanted to.
As it stands right now Maple Trees third place is fair. They truly deserve the third place...but they could have taken second if they really wanted to...but again only because they have Maple.
Not quite right, Payne has many OP abilities as well. We also see that Maple is a better player as they literally out thought Payne.
