I figured it out if anyone else is curious. HTC locks down the touch screen when flashing non sense roms so you have to get s-off to flash roms-- from my research. I'm working on dirty racun now to achieve this. I greatly appreciate the video!

Either you get it from the ZIP file of the ROM you downloaded on your computer, or you can download a custom kernel for your device and flash the boot.img

thanks alot bro i rooted my DNA with the new htc sense 5 and i could not fix how my wifi wasn't working it kept saying "error" and i was told it was probably the boot.img file and just tried your tutorial and my wifi is working again. thanks alot man!

hey. i have a problem about the part whn you go in command window. when i moved the boot.img of my custom rom(android revolution hd htc one) i typed the command on the command prompt fastboot devices. but i dont see a device conneted like the serial # and the fastboot fastboot beside it. then i typed the fastboot flash boot boot.img command. but, it says waiting for device. but i dont know if its connected because i already connected the phone to pc and fastboot usb mode on. can you help me.

HELP! I have unlocked my bootloader and it is in the unlocked state. For this to work- do I need to lock the bootloader back? I get a successful boot.img flash and then I flash my superwipe, cm10 rom, and gapps and everything flashes but I lose access to my touch screen.

way to get a stock rom is copy it from a ruu. here are the steps Run the RUU until the wizard comes up. While the RUU wizard is open, find the temporary folder it created. (Open Explorer in Windows and type %temp% in the navigation bar.) There will be two folders with long encrypted names. In one of them you will find ROM.zip. Open it with 7zip and extract recovery.img. Put it in the location were you've installed Android SDK tools. This is the stock HTC Recovery and it is needed to run the RUU

Got a question ended up wiping internal storage and all when flashing a rom and i hav no os now on any other phone ive had i can usually just gointo recovery mount usb storage and drag and drop files get back to flasing but on the phone i have htc one s ville s4 processor i cant windows keeps giving me an error saying cant copy no matter what i do im guessing cause usb debug isnt on i tried this methos and i cant do it says error cant not load image ive tried adb sideload wont recognize device is there anything i can do? again complete wiped phone no os nothing on phone but recovery and bootloader 2.15 unlocked s on. twrp 2.80

Windows has some shitty "We need a signature from each driver policy". There is some tutorial out there how to do it. I remember it as followed: #1 Restart your Windows in "Deactive forced driver signature". #2 Get the special drivers and files for it. #3 Restart your phone in fastboot mode. #4 Check out your device manager and right click on the "unknown" device, which is your smartphone. #5 Search out the path where you downloaded the certain drivers. #6 Install the shit out of it. #7 Restart your PC and your phone. #8 ??? #9 Profit.
Hi. I flashed a boot.img from one of rom whitch I installed, but it doesn't works on my 510 HTC, only it boots in loop... after this I install another rom, and it's still have a bootloop error. My question is, when I installed the second rom, their boot.img does not overwrite the prev boot.img flashed manually ? Or U have any suggestions for soultion ? Regards !

You beautiful, beautiful bastard... I flashed before and there was no sound but that cheeky cmd line made all the difference - LEGEND.
