sit and mourn its probably the best knocked loose song i ever heard, its heavy, very melodic and sad. if you try to listen the album you will see how amazing it is
I think their Tear In The Fabric Of Life album is probably the best to get into KL since it has a whole story and more "creative" parts that aren't just palm muted 02
What i think it is is that KL kinda got this sort of eye from the public as being THEE "angry/heavy" band that is musically energetic, but not "confusing" or shreddy. Its a certain vibe that really only exists with the studio recordings and live. People fuck with it, and well here we are
I think KL has big hype because their songs are a good blend of hardcore and metalcore(which is why some people say KL is Metallic Hardcore, like the first metalcore bands)making it a very fresh air for the metalcore guys Also they do kinda sound the same because they always sounded kinda the same, mostly changing is production, which is also i guess why they have this hype too
i kinda noticed within this album that they do manage to blend a bit of nu metal into the modern hardcore sound. it’s (like a lot of people are saying) a fresh air for a lot of the metalcore and some nu/hardcore listeners because it definitely is getting a bit stale in the modern metal community. the grooves they put into the riffs, with the (well used) st. anger-ish snare, is the reason they feel so fresh. the production being just very slightly V curved (all bass all treble no mids) gives it a lot of life too.

To me this is everything I want from this genre I feel like a lot of metal is boring now and days but knocked loose shows me why I fell in love with metal and the vocals sounds raw not like some bands
I never have believed that things get boring or so, I just think, when you feel nothings going on, you may just not be aware of other places, and not looking there, and trying out some new waters. There's exciting stuff out there in metal, just waiting for you.

As a hardcore fan, a lot of it is the energy and the live aspect. It depends on how you classify hardcore and metalcore. If you're talking about the modern definition of metalcore, they are a hardcore band. If you're talking about the original version of metalcore in the 90s, they would be considered metalcore. The music is less about the technical riffs (especially KL which has a lot more dissonant stuff) and more about how heavy it is and the breakdowns and chaos of it. I can understand not liking it coming from death metal or stuff with more interesting guitar parts. I don't really like Knocked Loose too much as they lean more on the metal stuff than I like in hardcore but I feel like a lot of their popularity comes from touring a lot and being heavily involved in the hardcore scene.
if you see them live youll understand the hype. this aint my style usualy, and they come in my city in 2020 or 2021. they opened and they fucking stole the show for me.
@@willfultrain6779 Saying "How old are you?" is one of the most immature things you can say in response to someone lmao. The hype is easy to understand with this band. The person in this video doesn't get it because he is thinking of it from the perspective of a guitarist who wants complicated music, whereas a general audience just wants music with genuine emotions that gets you feeling pumped. It's about an emotional connection with music, not the technicality of instrumentation. Lots of modern metal feels fake where Knocked Loose feels genuine and you can feel the anger in the music.

It’s so good on its own but in context of the journey of the album, it’s damn near a masterpiece. Like what a way to wrap it all up.

Agree the first album I listen to and got into them
Asking a cat if they like a band named after one of their favorite pasttimes is comedic gold. Cats and knocking shit over. Perfect pairing.

And still manages to be less boring than the entirety of death metal.

Play God Knows, that song constantly changes music wise, not samey whatsoever
