Honestly this unit looks so good! It revamps this aging interior and puts it into the modern era. Apple carplay, and android auto even make the 2022 civic looks outdated!

Quick question, when you install this android head unit, are you able to still access the car settings ? Like system settings , vehicle settings , calibrating TPMS, oil level etc . Does this head unit give that access ?

@@dwightspencer753 But you can't reset the oil change from your dash bro, well not if you are a trim level that came with a factory touchscreen unit. This is why many are holding off, a few years ago none of these units did that stuff, but they have been updated to support wireless carplay and android auto so maybe they have other updates now and thats what we need to know

I'm not sure if it's just the R, but the R has a bunch of plugs that none of the aftermarket units seem to support. The unit will work fine, but you won't be able to reset TPMS, music/maps won't show up on the guage cluster. The voice that says "please press on the brake pedal to release the parking brake" won't work anymore. It seems like you're working on a Civic EX model, is Apple Carplay not already a feature on this vehicle? Is the upgrade mostly for bigger screen size/new monitor?
Apple car play isn’t on the car. I have a 2019 myself and the screen is just for Bluetooth and radio and a few settings sadly
@@julian_p007 if you have a factory touchscreen you have Android Auto and Apple Carplay, you have to use the USB port that is by your knee when you are in the driver seat.

So there should be double female USB cable that also has a microphone attached to it inside the kit all together. Might wanna double check your cables
