Here in the USA at least of all the places that I know of they don't use copper tanks for hot water heaters. All the one's I have ever scrapped have a galvanized steel tank. Would be nice to find any here that are made with copper tanks.
I didnt know that. I thought it was normal for all low pressure systems to be made of copper. Only our high pressure or "mains" pressure tanks are made of steel over here.
The grinder is good but it wastes 1.5mm of materials each cut due to the thickness of the cutting wheel. So you can easily end up wasting a lot of copper. The cutting shear is super-fast and no wastage of materials and it was fairly cheap to buy.
@@Coppercastingstop buying the 1.6mm cutting discs- get the 1mm ones. I use them in my 4 and 5 inch grinders scrapping and fabricating, any time cutting copper I do it where I can sweep up the copper dust- have a half kilo so far after 3 years.
