Hey! You've made me purchase your very nice plugin. Is there gonna be any tutorial or walkthrough about SymRig B, Specials and FX Block groups soon? Or did I miss something?
Hey! Thanks for your comment! So there is a small hint on the end of the tutorial showing a use case of the Sym Rig B group. You can use Sym Rig B as an alternative FX group with a different selection grid arrangement. Special Groups are there to use them with the Special Positions to put some fixtures on a position without FX. We will do a Tipps and Tricks video probably in September on this! Hope this helps.
Thank you for your comment and the compliments! This is not currently in place as we have rarely used this feature. We don't usually have an IFX and a CFX active at the same time. If you are missing this feature, it would be great if you could enter it online as a feature request: www.mblightarts.de/requests Thank you for your support!
Tremendous Video. I can't imagine how big the plugin is for this. And I have been learning Lua for a couple years. Few questions. In the beginning with the Grid where you have the space between the set off lights in my viewing looks like the space is in the back and the grid it was set in the front. That was confusing. If you have more than 1 type of instance fixture is there another group section for that? How well does the section that you shown with instances will work with Strike M or JDC-1 strobes?
Hey, thank you so much for your comment and the great feedback! Regarding your questions: 1. We are not 100% sure what you mean by „space is in the back and and grid in the front“. Can you explain this further and maybe tell us the time of the section in the video? 2. Depending on the version (LITE / PRO / ULTRA) there are 4 to 8 groups for different fixturre types in the showfile. If you are using more complex types like the Color Strike or JDC 1 / Lines, we simply use more than one group for them. Because in the end that’s the basic idea behind those fixtures. For example giving you a Strobe and a Wash fixture at the same time. So we store the Strobe elements to our A category and the Wash elements to our B category, for example. I hope this helps :-) We we also record a tipps & tricks video this summer, where we show some special things, operating ideas and patching of complex fixtures.
Heyo, short question because i often use it... is there a way to make E/O and / or mirrored color? so all Even from one group in red and All odd from the group in blue for example? Or will i need to put the E/O in different type groups?
Hey! So there is no direct way implemented to achieve E/O colors. The first workaround is like you already described to just store the fixtures in E/O groups separately. I would recommend the following workaround: Simply use the E/O bump sequence and use them with a toggle. Then you can force the E or O part of your rig to use the FX color. Hope this helps! :-)
Hey! Let me explain this real quick: The macro does 2 things: 1. it assigns the desired view to the view button 2. it calles the desired view. That's basically it :-) Does this makes sense to you?
Hey, thanks for your question! "Bump Link" ensures that the bumps are also linked to the playback masters. Otherwise they will ignore the intensity level set by the payback masters. "Bump Kill" ensures that the bumps deactivate the standard On sequences. This can be helpful when using intensity bumps quickly on the run. Hope this helps :-)
41:17 - Been having an issue with using this macro for my wash fixtures I've wanted pixel control over, the pixels don't have a dimmer channel in the fixture profile (Mac Aura PXL in extended mode) so the macro doesn't work properly for me.
Thanks for your comment. So in the meantime there a so many fixtures which behave different. In the end it is impossible to cover it all with macros, but it should be easy to fix when we understand the fixture profile. So the problem with Aura XIP is not the Macro from the file. Check the manual of the Aura: It says "Beam Pixel color (Pixel Color Control of 7 x Beam LEDs, Global Beam RGB channels are added to this using HTP)". This HTP merge creates an issue here. So simply adjust your fixture profile and set the default values of the Global Beam RGB channels to 0. Then you will get control over the single pixels. Let me know if this works for you. We and some other friends are happy with that way of using them :-) Hope this helps!
@@jerrodmichael8049 Hmm no, it works! 🙂 Have you looked at the fixture profile? What kind of behavior do you get? All white and 100% on or black? Please describe in more detail what is not working / what you are experiencing 🙂. As already described, it does not work as shown in the video, but you have to look at what the default values are and what the fixture profile looks like.
Just a note too but when I look at the dimmer button on the layout view it says that it is for the group where you label, and not store your fixture arrangement. Is this by design? My lights won’t turn on unless I go in and edit the recipe
You have to adapt all the appearances which are used for those sequences. The easiest way we normally use is to simply patch an RGB fixture as dummy if we only habe color wheel fixtures…
You did it again guys! Great work, nice walk through. I’m looking forward to apply it on my rig next week. 🙏🏾🙏🏾

If I buy the Pro version, would I get the difference off the price if I bought the Ultra when it's released?
Yes! You can always upgrade for the corresponding price difference. So also from the LITE version. Hope this helps!

I'm trying to figure out how you set up the Presets View Macro's. Anywhere online that I can find those macrolines or lua scripts?
maybe a stupid question but I'm very unexperienced and want to make my show easier to work with. My brain would love it.
