I agree with you about shipping a store abroad from the UK. I would not want to have to box it all up along with the storage and make sure it was not going to get damaged in transit. I think that the other example you mentioned where someone in Europe wants to purchase from a neighbouring country does make sense.
The easiest way to track your brickstore uploading is just to organise the files into folders under their months, and if you want add the value lot count etc to the file name :) that way you record keep at the same time and organise your historical files ;)
Yeah thats one way to show what you add. It doesn't show your start position though and therefore lot increase etc. Sure you can add it to the filename as you suggest but thats the same effort as needed to record in the log file, plus it doesn't provide pretty graphs :) I do keep all my brickstore files going back years though. Its great for looking back and doing the odd bit of trouble shooting.
I'm the Swiss buyer who had the order including the Barracuda Bay instructions and many parts. There were only about 70 vendors with the manual on BL who ship to Switzerland, and when I saw your name on the list, I jumped at the chance to make a decent-sized order with you. That set is actually relatively easy to part together for much less than the cost of a complete set if you have a stock of standard parts; I had almost 80% of the parts in my stock (from buying local bulk lots and cheap/discounted sets), and the more unique parts of the set are not that expensive from BL sellers at the moment. So thanks for helping me out with this project.
Hi Chris, Many thanks for the order. Glad I was able to help you out. That was certainly one heavy manual which I know bumped the shipping a little, but good to know its a relatively easy set to piece together, and such a great set.
Regards the Brick Seller Hub, cross-border sales would be usual on the continent. Travelling from London to Manchester is akin to going from Brussels to Amsterdam. Cross-border purchasing is pretty common in the EU, particularly for "big ticket" items. Maybe you could add the option to filter by country so those who aren't interested (like in the UK).
RE: Buying stores cross border. Even if you don't think that it should or even would happen. I'd leave that to whomever is doing the buying/selling. Even if you decide against it i'd suggest showing the stores anyways. At minimum it ups the number of things displayed when people search for them. That shows that the site is being actively used across the globe, adding integrity.
Thanks for your input - The main reason for not allowing cross border initially was to stop "nuisance" unrealistic approaches to store owners. While some people have a view on shipping internationally that you just pack your store into a shared shipping container, whereas I think the majority of sellers would not be prepared to do that for numerous reasons.
That will teach me to answer a question while typing….. Right KDDK time; still watching spending but had already ordered the Big Big Train live (the night of the prog Blu Ray from few years ago) and spent a nice 2 hours and 15 mins immersed in lovely prog. Slightly bittersweet of course because the lead singer passed away not to long afterward, but the new singer on the last studio album is equally good and a new live album / Blu-ray is due for release in September (?); anyway it’s on order so that will be another evening’s viewing / listening to look forward too. Still have the DarWin album on rotation (Be That Man is an excellent track which is becoming an ear worm….). On leave this week, so hopefully (amongst the normal chores and spending days out with my beloved) should be able to get down to some MOC building to the soundtrack of some excellent music.
Glad to see you hadn't gotten bored of our KDDK segment. I agree that the DarWin album has been the standout album of recent times and I too still have it on rotation (especially in the car). Hope you have a great week, of MOC building, music and time with loved ones.
@@BrickArena Grand Slam was an interesting departure (and somewhat of a different genre for keyboardist Mark Stanway after Magnum 😀) but it was rumoured that because they couldn’t secure a record deal so Lynott was going to reform Lizzy but unfortunately passed away before that happened. Arc? Funny you should mention those. Very very hard to find. Unless of course you happen to know people who know websites that can find anything… which I shall neither confirm or deny…. In completely unrelated news, hoping to comment on Arc’s two albums for next week’s KDDK time…..😀
Agreed! A strange move. I loved Stanway's contribution to early Magnum and am glad he found his way back into the fold. Phil's passing has been the hardest of any musician passing for me personally and I'd have to put him and Lizzy very close to the top of the tree. Make sure your asking your friend for ARK and not Arc or it might be a very different listening experience. I too have some sources for such cases. Let me know if your struggling with anything and I may be able to help. Interested to hear what you think.
Have you cleaned the (variant) Millennium Falcon? Or was it just a trick of the light? Nice sale on the castle set ( I too appreciate how much space built sets can take up….every time I want to do some MOC building I have to move the Concorde to another location….)
Nope, Millenium Falcon is still filthy. Better get those eyes tested. Was very pleased with the castle sale, not only with the space it cleared but judging by others for sale I got a very reasonable price for it. No what's going on? No KDDK? Well for me i've been listening to some older stuff in Grand Slam (previoulsy Phil Lynotts Grand Slam) and was quite surprised how impressed I was with it. Also been revisiting some NWOBHM stuff after watching a ranking vid on UA-cam. Did you ever get those two Ark albums? I'm intrigued to hear what you made of them.

Thanks for sharing! - It seems a popular opinion.
