main gate to castle is very spanish looking now. i mean castles in spain often have this rich decoration. not the biggest fan of change but that at least mean they are going out taking references from real world and that is good thing. european studios are in big advantage here compared to other parts of the world.
On of the most "stupid" things were the Heavy Rogue's Dress compared to the light Mercenary Armor and the Novice Armor to the Light Templar Armor. These both last available lower class armor looked more protective than the first ones of the next higher class armor. They should go with the you can improve your armor in several states like here and cut the light merc and temp armor. Armor-Progression-System (Exemplary on Old Camp Sets) Light Guard's Armor Basic, starts with Gambeson + Hardened Leather Improved, more Leather on Breast/Back, Leather Vambraces/Forearm Guards Guard's Armor Basic, starts with all Improvements of Light Guard's Armor and half (damaged) Maille Shirt Improved, a full (repaired) Maille Shirt and Metal Vambraces/Forearm Guards Heavy Guard's Armor Basic, starts with all Improvements of Guard's Armor Improved, a „Special“ thick Plate (with a Shadowbeast) The Light Mercenary and Templar Armor looked always so pathetic compared to the Heavy Rogue and Novice Armor. Should be scrapped imo, why? As Old Camp player, you get Shadow's Dress Shadow's Armor Light Guard's Armor Guard's Armor Heavy Guard's Armor (Would be silly not to make it available) See now the New Camp Style Light Rogue's Dress Rogue's Dress Heavy Rogue's Dress Mercenary's Armor Heavy Mercenary's Armor Swamp Camp Novice's Loincloth Light Novice's Armor Novice Armor Templar's Armor Heavy Templar's Armor Every Faction has 5 Armor Sets, Armor can be upgraded, the last one not so much (optic) like the lower Tiers. The New Camp and Swamp Camp have not the „clean“ Structure like the Old Camp, they have Rogues and Novices with 3 Armors and only 2 „professional“ ones, the Old Camp has only 2 Shadow Armors but 3 „regular“ ones. Would fit very good. NO Duplicates, Weapons with Names i.e. „Silas' Axe“, should look different compared to the standard „Bonebreaker“ Model or „Scar's Sword“ to the „Berserker's Word“. Not the same Model, please. Many Bows have this Problem, better to have less Bows instead of only a „Reskin“ with different Colour or no Difference at all. With Crossbows you don't have these Problems because there aren't too many. Sharping Weapons, +5 Damage. Swords are the fastest, Axes are a good Mix, Clubs/Maces are the slowest but giving most Damage, except for the latest available Weapons or you could make an Club/Mace Equivalent for Innos' Rage (Gomez Sword) and Lee's Axe (wielded by Lee). Make Innos Rage 5 Damage Points weaker than Lee's Axe and Lee's Axe 5 Damage Points weaker than a new created Club/Mace Equivalent. What about forging weapons? Will there be good blueprints?
they will need to take into consideration view distance and i agree that i hope they will hide xardas tower not just for the same of NPCs but for the sake of players not seeing "all the content" since entry to the colony
Keep them coming brother in Innos! Very nice vid, thank you. Of course, I don't agree with everything, but then, if there is one thing the overall gothic fandome will actualy agree on, is agreeing to disagree XD For example, I love the new Raven myself. I think he is spot on. I appreciated the fact you pointed out the bulkiness is in part dew to OG graphic limitations of the time. You can't imagine how many fail to realize that reality.
I didnt saw this video 😅now im watching this on TV while eating and oh my. I will actually give this chance. Atmosphere outside is very good. Old camp? Impressive. Only concern i have is about character designs but armors look fresh 👌🌳
Raven is a letdown for me. He was just my favourit Baron of em all, always imaging him as this old, chilled to the bone, scary-psychopathic dude that you know if you mess up somehow in there he'll come straight for your ass and rip it apart. He is looking soft and more harmless in this one. Even a bit friendly. That would be disappointing for me, if they change the dialogue or the entire charakter to be more "fitting" for this new audience and don't scare anyone off. Besides that great analysis, interesting takes. Good summary
Thanks a lot brother! I'm with you on this one. Raven always had been Gomez' right hand for a reason. While Scar and Arto were more physical indimidating and very ruthlesss fighters, Raven was the thinker, the strategist, who knew how to keep the business of the colony running smoothly. I hope they revisit some of the models and I somehow have faith in them: their redesign of Diego has also recieved some changes, but I think they nailed his characteristics with the new model.
No its better that she shoulder plates are not ridicoulusly huge anymore. It made sense in the old Gothic graphics, but not in the new more realistic one
Great work, I don't agree on everything, but each of us sees Gothic a bit differently, and I guess, that is ok. Any plans regarding continuation of the lore series? They are gorgeous.
Thanks man, I appreciate it! Yeah I have some plans for the future when it comes to Gothic 2 but I'm kind of struggling with Gothic 3 content. Well, we'll see .
All they have to do is stick to the original design and somehow they screw it up all the time. Its because they dont understand it, they dont analyse what made it great. Often even failing to do so on such a basic level like the Skeleton mage or the orcs. .
Yeah the old designs were awesome and believable. They weren't monsters, they were animals. Skeleton mage is a huge departure from the original, I don't understand why they do that.
@@vertigo7082 exactly. It felt like there was a logical, believeble reason behind them existing and being the way they were. Even when there was no explanation to it (there was none needed), it just felt like they fit in
The Ornaments are too much. Also before the magical Barrier it seems like it was just a fort, not a pallace, why these expenses? Immersionkilling, its not rough enough. The level designer doesnt understand the world.
nice observation with first screen. i didnt saw so much on it

Definitely. They should hide these areas better.

Finish Chromanin Quest and you can find Thorus's armor to the right of the dock below the abandoned tower where the skeletan mages are.
