It's interesting that even in France there are bad Dad jokes. i.e. putting the sink on the changing table because Marc is changing it... I guess it's universal.

If you walk into the bathroom and find Marc with his adorable smile and a disaster all around him, who is going to be upset? I hope you find a solution soon! I don’t think a bit of a messy bathroom when you’ve got two tiny humans to look after all while working and living in a renovation is going to be a big deal. I’m glad you’re not afraid to show us you’re just normal people with a normal, chaotic life. My kids weren’t as close together and I just had flooring done while my youngest was a baby. I nearly lost my mind. 😆
I’m glad you’re taking care with your back. I damaged my back when I was with my 20s then had 3 ten lb babies in my 30s and had hard physical jobs into my 50s. I should not have ignored the pain in my back. Please take care of yourself too! Your kids are so adorable!

Marc’s facial reaction was really funny 😆!!!! The sink must have had a crack that was just waiting to fall Off … 🤔
“We can just glue it back … ‘ was really hilarious 😂
If you decide to have a 2 sink fixture, having a counter or a metal stand would be advisable, for enough support for the long span sink.

It’s not easy with a newborn and a toddler and a non functioning bathroom sink! You are both so good at roughing it while renovating the chateau but hopefully, you can get the right fitting. Here in the states our diy stores sell sinks with the counter and an underneath cabinet for storage all in one piece inexpensively. You could get one with two sinks to make your lives so much easier with a family of four. They are not very expensive. I’m sure when you renovate this bathroom down the road you will be able to use the sink/cabinet somewhere else. Just a thought. Fun vlog though, and love how you both laugh despite the dilemma. Hugs to you xx

But I do hope the fitting problems get resolved fast, you can't afford to be a bathroom down with 2 littlies in the house! A couple thoughts that may (or may not) be helpful:
    * Teflon Tape to the (temporary) rescue: Use Teflon tape (quite a bit) to bridge the gap between the plastic pipe and the metal pipe. In my case, the possibly 100 year old drainage pipe in my bathroom sink rusted through in two spots - where the pipe screws into the sink, and where the pipe from the wall joins the U-joint. (I was trying to replace the top one and started by trying to first remove the U-joint, which I replaced successfully perhaps 25 years ago when the lower pipe failed). The top gap was perhaps 1/4” on one side. The bottom one slightly smaller. Needing a quick fix until I had a better solution, I wrapped both leaks with a copious amount of Teflon tape. It held… and (like you) not wanting to pour money into something I plan to remodel, I put off purchasing a slightly less temporary solution. Ha - that was a few years ago - the Teflon tape is still working (though I have a plastic container under it as a precaution for when it fails… frankly I think a layer of crud has strengthened my initial fix.
    * Sink from coach house: Add a painted piece of thick wood as a backsplash behind the sink. Since the issue is a gap between the back of the sink and the wall (and it looked like the slots for the bottom connectors were just long enough to reach the bottom connection points/screw holes), could you bridge the gap by essentially creating a thicker backsplash, so that the sink sits tight to the wood and the wood tight to the wall? Sorry, my two 100 year old wall-hung sinks have their brackets forged into their cast-iron, so I’m unable to test this for you.

26 minutes of laughing made my cheeks hurt! Marc tries so hard to say something cheeky to you but then he can't hold back his smile 🙂 and really Marc is much like my hubs when it comes to looking at a manual, I think men think they only add them to the box for decoration. I absolutely lost it when Marc was under the sink and you asked what happened "I decided to change out the sink too" 🙂🙂 Then you started that wonderful laugh of yours, I was on the floor! LOL We're in process of getting 18"+ of snow tonight so I love that I had this video to distract me. Watching the two of you do projects is my fav past time.

Hi guys, it is easier to fit the trap to the sink first and then adjust the waste pipe to length (longer or shorter by cutting or adding a piece of pipe and straight joiners and glue with the special glue that makes you high lol) as it is easier to get at as it isn't inside the pedestal. I hope you get it sorted, best wishes from north west Ireland.

Have you watched Le Jerome’s channel, from chateau D’Olly in Ardennes. Any time you feel like giving up, watch these guys, they are certainly doing it tough. They have to replace ALL the flooring on all levels and most of the interior plaster work to most walls removed so they can stabilise the crumbling stone work. They also have an extensive organic sustainable vegetable, garden and work day jobs during the week to fund the work. How do they do it? Do they live in your area? The UA-cam channel is in French with English subtitles.
I love what you are doing and look forward to each episode, all the best from Australia.

Oh Amy! My heart aches (along with my tummy muscles laughing at your puns and Marc's face!!). You are coping enormously well as a new mum with a toddler in tow AND a bad back!!! How you stop from crying in despair at it all, you put me to shame! Thank goodness Marc is married to you n not me! (He'd have been wearing that broken sink that's for sure! 😂😂😂). God bless you for smiling through it all. Lots of love from Chez in Lliria Valencia Spain xx

I don’t know if you are on a septic tank, but if you are you can make a mix of warm water yeast and brown sugar to keep your tank working longer .so it doesn’t have to be pumped
