Metal isn't my choice of genre so I hadn't heard of her until last night when I saw the performance she did in a later episode of the show; Phantom of the Opera with Henk Poort. Now I can't get enough of her. Besides her amazing voice she has a way of delivering the message in a way that you not only hear and feel the emotion, but you can see the emotion. She is a true artist..

Her vocal control is so spot on, I’m really impressed with how much command she has over her vocal instrument, the way she moves from head voice to chest and back again, the way she uses breathiness subtly I all the right spots without overusing it, it was all perfect, I really feel it was perfect, every note, every choice, a truly perfect performance

I got a notification this morning that Floor is going to be doing a 6 concert event in January performing the 6 songs from this tv show and some of her own songs with the backup band from Beste Zangers.

I think that your cat was just trying to see & hear this stellar performance by the Dutch goddess of vocals. Cats are really smart you know, plus they have a much better hearing than we people do.

Yeah do this one, she was quite nervous before the song, also wanting to show off the her fans in Latin America. It's my favourite among the songs she has sung on the show.

Indeed Floor can sing anything. Listen to Nightwish "yours an empty hope" (nearly heavy metal and Floor singing the low crawls) or a softer song ”but about love i don't know a thing" (from the Dutch tv-show "Beste Zangers".

Great reaction. Please react to Vilja Lied, an aria from the operetta The Merry Widow, that Floor Jansen performed 6 weeks ago in this same TV-show (Beste Zangers 2019), with a metal touch. She sang it to the older gentleman Henk Poort, who is a famous opera and musical singer. This was her first song in this show and the other singers on the
couches were blown away by her voice.

Nice reaction. I just love this sweet version, it's just hit me at the first time I was listened to it. Floor Jansen is a perfection of delivering the emotion of the song properly with her voice, expression, and body language.
I literally watched each and every cover of this song (some covers kinda do the same thing from the original, while others got over belting its kinda exaggerating a bit) then there's her version and literally I got shivers down my spine, yep when the Valkyrie sings everybody follows like the pied piper of hamelin

Hell Floor does death growls in ReVamps Wild Card and Nightwishes Yours is an Empty Hope. And in Northwards song While Love Died she goes Hard Rock. And of course with Simone Simmons from Epica they do Opera in Stabat Mater Dolorosa. And she also soloes a Puccini Aria as well. Versatile is an UNDERSTATEMENT.

You're right, I love how on the chorus she would get strong for a few seconds, and then come back down to a soft falsetto for the rest of the chorus.

Just FYI, most female metal singers are a lot more talented, hard working artists than your average posh pop singer babe ascending the global hit lists. Floor Jansen is one of the most versatile female lead vocalists in any metal band in the World, if not _the_ best.
Next I'd suggest You to listen to e.g. band called Arch Enemy. Their song The Eagles Fly Alone could give a good reference point.
