Okay so. 1st the song is not mine and It is a version of a song asher postman made. 2nd i can give u some tips:
I would recommend u learn SOME music theory if u don't know something. This will make your chord making easier. Another tip i would recommend is that you just keep making music, and ive been making music since i was 10. I know you probably heard this a LOT of times cause i surely did, but PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT.
But if u want to know how i structure my songs here is how i do It
1st i choose what style or genre i want to make.
2nd i come up with an idea (It could just be some chords, only a bass, only drums or whatever)
3rd extend It so that if u only had drums, you now add bass and chords or melody. Or if u only had melody u extend so u have bass drums and melody (just adding some things)
If my a$$ couldnt explain myself ,i recommend watching some turorials,
