• Wagyu Beef and Kobe Be... Watch this video for more on what is Wagyu Beef and the answers to all of your Wagyu vs Kobe questions.
In this video, The Bearded Butchers cut through an entire Japanese A5 Wagyu Ribeye and A5 Wagyu Strip Loin. Seth says it's like cutting through butter, much softer than cutting through American Grain Fed Beef. After the steaks are cut, it just wouldn't be a Bearded Butcher Video unless they went on the grill and showed us all how to cook Wagyu Beef! Scott says it's 20 out of 10 so it really must be good.

What's so good about Wagyu Beef Steak? Scott has 5 reasons:
1) Visuals
2) Sound (Sizzle)
3) Aroma
4) Mouthfeel
5) Taste0

That was awesome guys, yeah wagyu a5 is something else!
C5 is the best
We love you guga
Appreciate it!
I just wonder - why most farmes do not raise wagyu breed of cattle? Since it is so good and expensive to sell?
I mean it can not be much of difference to feed wagyu cattle instead normal angus or other catlle breeds.
That way it could be also cheap, since it would not be so rare.
@Miguel Angel Yea doing it japan way yes, but even feeding wagyu breed lowcost way should produce better results than stanrad cattle breeds.
This channel makes me happy I’m not a vegetarian lol 😂
Makes me happy cows are vegetarian...🤔
Lol!! This is a cure for vegetarians!!
Makes me happy to more meat for me
I do like my veggies on the side......
Taking a piss in the morning should do that 😂
The brothers: “We have Wagyu beef.”
Guga breaks through the wall Kool-Aid man style: “LET’S DO ETTTT!!!!!!”
I laughed way too hard at this! 😂🤣😂
A plus that made me laugh. Love Guga
I can see that happening lol awesomeness !
This comment is gold bro!
Lmao
You guys are killing me with this episode. I was actually drooling over that meat!
same man got a full Homer Simpson going on over here
I bet you would stop drooling if you knew how much just one slice of what they just cut cost
@@AnthonyJohnson-jp3htover $1000 for the joint and around $100 per steak on their website I don't know how much the butcher boys are selling them for
@@doone5303 my point exactly and you got to take in consideration the restaurant have to cook it a certain way so you looking at almost $300 probably even more for just a meal that slab look big on camera but I bet you in person it's no longer than your forearm if I can have just a little bite like they had at the end I will be happy in life😂😂🤷🏽♂️💯
You do realize that cow was raise not very far from Fukushima right....
Had the honor of trying A5 Wagyu before and I must say, it’s the pinnacle of all Steaks and Beef in general hands down. Nothing compares to the buttery richness and flavor of it. Highly recommend for any Steak lover to try at least once, likely won’t be the last. It’s almost hard to finish a ribeye by yourself cus of its richness so a family of 4 can enjoy together.
I could see in the first cut the difference in how Seths knife went through the A5 vrs all the other steaks I’ve seen him cut in these videos. It briefly made my wonder if I have spent too much time watching this channel. Had to go rewatch how to cut a beef, at which point I knew it was all time well spent.
Hands down my FAVORITE UA-cam channel 🇺🇸
Mine too
I'm frustrated. Not one person wants to even give a clue about the price tag of one of thoes steaks ! Anybody ? I'm dyeing to know....
I work for a butcher shop, and we have the same A5 Wagyu. It may be expensive, but it’s worth it. Some people come in almost everyday, just for the A5.
How much $ you charge ?
@@davetaylor5065 A5 ribeye: $120 per LB; A5 tenderloin (when we carried it): $150 per LB.
The "wow"s after every slice... I felt that
South of Japan checking in! Looking good and keep on rocking these vids!
That's amazing! Really it is... I hear a lot about it how tender and how the marbling is. It was even better these guys show us how to cut/cook them in professional way. You guys rock! Thanks so much for sharing this!!
Our pleasure, Robby! Hope you learned tons from the video!
Almost choked when he threw the fat out! That's like 15 bucks! And so good
So much fat, seems like if you grilled it that it would shrink to half its size?
@@NoNORADon911 technically they still seared it on a flat iron they didn't grill it.
ya that was animal abuse! right there i was horrified
@@NoNORADon911 It doesn't really shrink too much, I've never had the a5 wagyu but I have cooked a few m5-m7 wagyu AUS and it doesn't shrink too too much it just gets plump and juicy.
I literally yelled out loud. Did he just throw that in the? No oh no! Lol
The strip price was $120-something... and you know, I can see it. For a once a year type of treat, that's not a terrible price.
Lol I used one of the stimulus checks on the full cut (around 13lbs) and got five 1½" steaks and five 1" steaks (picanha)
totally worth it. Have only eaten 3 of the smaller ones so far, sold one to a friend
I disagree. Nothing is worth that much. I can make like 24 portions of decent sirloin for that much
@@michaelmiller6013 I mean if your taste buds don't work then I agree....don't spend more on the good stuff.
otherwise you're lying to us/yourself
The saying "you get what you pay for" has stuck around for a reason
@@michaelmiller6013 maybe 1 steak to share with the family but ya not worth it when you can buy a tomahawk steak for 50$ can, so good and thick
i love a good porterhouse…..i’m sure these are good but for the price i’m not sure…maybe someday i’ll cave and try one out
I'm coming from Oklahoma just to meet ya'll. From a butcher to a butcher. I appreciate ya'll passion for our trade.
12:14 When Scott casually discarded the pieces of trimmed wagyu fat that he had just rendered in the pan, I gasped aloud. 😵
You are not alone!!
Same 😱
I always watch before commenting I did the same thing I'm like how can you throw that away. I have served friends their first Waggu and they always want to remove the fat I tell them just try a small piece, five seconds later OMG and don't get a finger between them and it.
Yeah, that hurt.
Yeah, but as he said, wagyu beef is so rich that the first bite should be the ultimate bite.
I'm 69 years old. I just put that on my bucket list. Good job guys. Thank you.
Our pleasure!
I had an A5 back in March of this year for my 50th birthday. What an experience. I was a bit nervous cooking it though. The thought of overcooking a $150 steak was unsettling. We're going on vacation in Maine next week and stopping off at the same high end butcher shop again. I'll be bringing a Wagyu to my 83 year old Mom to try for the first time.
You are a good son.
Exactly why you buy a ten dollar 🤒🌡️.
....teeth included I hope!
@@dmac7406 I have since bought one 👍
Enjoy that time with your mother. I lost mine october of last year, 85. Keep the memories buddy
Yay! Thank you for giving Spencer a piece of wagyu. I wish he gave his take after eating it.
Always learn so much watching u guys. But today, the artists finally meat their art
Your not the only one that love it, I sure do. Thank you.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏😁😁😁😁
Amazing. I am sold. Love the way you guys presented this video from start to finish. I felt like I went on a journey with you guys and found a pot of gold at the end. Good stuff!!!
That is just unbelievable! Inconceivable! Just fantastic!
I wish I lived close to you guys. Never seen a store kept so clean before. You guys do a fantastic job, keep up these great vids.
With hunting season coming up I’m looking forward to some more hunting vids!
I once saw a video of how these cows/steers are reared. As far as I remember they are regularly bathed and actually get fed with actual milk. This helps to keep the colour of the meat pale. I've never eaten it because I cannot afford it!
You make it look sooooooooooo mmmmm.
I agree, it’s the best, but like everyone, including yourselves, say, its super rich. I think I would prefer the Australian approach, where it’s half as rich, for about forty percent of the money. That’s still twice as rich as a US Prime cut of beef. I would want a sit down steak dinner with a nice twelve to fourteen ounce steak, baked potato, home made roll and salad. I really don’t mind the act of chewing, especially a great piece of perfectly cooked steak!
I've had the Australian as well as the super rich A5 from Japan, spent $250 once on a single Miyazakigyu ribeye. But trying the best of the best, if only once, is truly incredible. Actually some pretty good American pureblood Wagyu out there too. cheers

imo ,It really does suit asían preparations with smaller portions and veggies to cut the richness.
Guys....great video. The more i watch your videos the more I really like what you do. Thanks.
Thanks for watching!
This video was so pleasing to watch. I wish I could get my hands of some of this in Australia 😩
Nothing compares to A5 Wagyu Beef. And I've never even had the pleasure to try it and I know that.
When these two cowboys say that this is the best, i believe them and hope i will taste it before i die.
I really enjoy that you cut it and cook it.
You guys need to cross Wagyu beef with bison and then report back to us 😂
No matter how many times you fuk a snowman you will never make a snowball
@@PaulMcClellanmn beautifully said.
I have grilled/smoked some A5 after watching Guga talk about it and yeah its awesome.
Nice, hope you enjoy, Richard! 🔥
@@TheBeardedButchers A5 is expensive but so worth it. It would take a bank loan to buy a tenderloin.
Awesome Video, Guys! The cutting and cooking and tasting ... all were 10/10 💕🥰👍🏼
Love from Wisconsin 🇺🇸 and Pakistan 🇵🇰
They cut is so superb
Thanks a lot!
I had it in Japan. By far the best I’ve ever tasted. Great video, thank you for this. Stay Beardiful!
This is awesome! Stopped in yesterday and grabbed an A5 Wagyu ribeye and an American Wagyu ribeye as an appetizer for a party we are having! Had to come back and check this video out for some tips on doing these the right way.
OH my that looks delicious!!! Thanks for posting this video!!!! Will definitely be trying this!
You are so welcome, Robert!
I'm here eating my dollar cheeseburger pretending it's Wagyu Beef while i'm watching this....
What is American wagyu, versus Australian wagyu, versus Japanese wagyu? Love your videos!
Interesting content idea!
It's Ford vs Mercedes vs Bugatti.
I've cut a lot of beautiful beef but nothing that exceptional. That would be truly a Zen moment
I haven't seen as much Wagyu in a video as this. It looks like $30,000 worth.
“Vein steak” 🤣😂🙃love u guys!
My son helps a farmer that raises some they look like a jersey but just a different color. But I don’t think I will spending that much for any meat for a long time except my hunting time and equipment for venison 👍✌🏻🇺🇸
But those are different from the steaks on this video .... I'm sure the steaks now on this video are different than those cows you are talking about ....lol I didn't know if you knew that or not ... ✌️ Peace
at least once in your life you should try it..the money is well worth the experience..and preparation is extremely easy..salt both sides, cook in cast iron skillet 1.5-2mins per side..let sit for 10 mins before eating
Deer meat rocks.
@@karljg19 fuck yea it does. so does elk, caribou, reindeer, and moose
@@fredocuomo5386 I'd go on a big green egg forget the cast iron.
Thanks for the great info and depth of knowledge on everything meat related. Having the background on the specific cuts and how they are taken from the animals has helped me become more intentional in what I decide to cook. Great videos!
Great videos guys. I never imagined I would one day subscribe to your channel and watch something like "cutting the Japanese A5 Wagyu Beef" lol.
Awesome! Thank you for subscribing, Ian!
Yes! I would think that the strips would be delicious!
I've always wondered what was so special about Wagyu beef. Thank you for clearing that up! 👉🐂👍
Mouth was watering the whole video! Can't wait to try it.great video guys! As always!
I imagine a nice wine mingled in to make every bite taste like the very first time. Well done guys definitely a video that had to be done.... medium rare of course😋
There is nothing like this. So rich and flavorful. The olive wagyu is even better tasting to me. I have cooked 3 A5 briskets recently and let me tell you that has “ruined” any other brisket. What a treat this is for your customers. They do suggest slicing the steak into 1” strips and cooking a piece at a time!
Back in the day Japan didn't use these for steaks at all. They were used in thin strips raw and put into soups.
A5 is something personally I can only have every 5 years. Last time I had it was in 2011 and a new york strip. I paid 160 for it. It was so rich, so buttery, I could not imagine having it more often.
九州の鳥刺しもとても濃厚な味がします。是非チャレンジしてみてください😊
Going with AAAA-MOOO.
Amish cow. Non aged. Krystal burgers here today were wagu. 17 💸 dollars!
Starbucks tonight 17 💸 also. Pick up first cow tomorrow at 5pm. From now on ordering it trimmed cutting it myself Brock Lesner knife technique. I was an Infantryman, my kids were worked like dogs too.
Have beards too. DAN JR LOVES BEAVER! SO THROW A BEAVER IN THE LINE UP. And the squirrel on top of the deer roast in pressure cooker. 😋 Always up your game. Great videos, I am sure it is the camera person and older brothers directing.
I fully expected Guga and Angel to show up...
If you really want the Kobe experience, go with 1 1/2 inch thick. 5/8" thick by the time you sear both sides it is overcooked. Cmon fellas.
Well done, Boyz, i have been eating Kobe A5 BEEF for years, Hats off for placing salt separate on table, you know what you are talking about. Great video. Enjoy💯
Our pleasure, Rob!
My mouth has never been so watery
I think the camera guy quit filming after he didn't get follow up bites with the guys.
I was like, where is is 2nd piece? I bet that was torture for him. Must be an expert camera man, he didn't drop the camera.
I got a Japanese A5 strip for my birthday once from a local butcher shop, and that stuff is soooo rich you can only eat a small portion but it is DIVINE! If you have the opportunity, do it!
Totally divine!
We've got the pork and poultry covered on the homestead, but not the BEEF! Man that looks awesome. Had Black seasoning on our hamburger steaks tonight. Love those Bearded Butcher seasonings!!!
I'm eating it now while watching
You guys are killing me! I want that so badly! I am officially jealous!
Hey Ye,
I just purchased some FULLBLOOD WAGYU FEMALES.
Their Genetics are out of Australia and bred to a FULLBLOOD AUSTRALIAN WAGYU Australian WAGYU
I have had one where I ate the whole steak with my fork. Crazy smooth texture and taste.
Stopped into the store and got a few things. One of them being a A5 Ribeye. Thanks I will be back.
Thanks for visiting, Adam! 🔥
My mouth is watering not even a joke
Those steaks bring a tear to my eye, man they are beautiful
Can't agree with you more, Vincent. Such magnificent steaks! 🥩
I love my beef but wagyu is basically fat with some meat
This is what i like to c here guys...guga is all about it to!!!! Thanks for the footage i truley wish i could try
Awesome video guys. You're 100% on point about Butter Blend. I've got it and tried it on everything including fresh fruit . Bought the shaker first. Next I get the bucket. I JUST LOVE THESE GUYS!
I wonder what the organ meat looks like on these particular steers.
I'm wondering the same thing. Fatty liver, anyone? Howza bout a coupla fatty oysters? Wonder how the Osso Bucco tastes?
@@stanervin6108 I've never seen anywhere that sells a5 wagyu that also sells the shanks..however double 8 cattle sells full-blood wagyu shanks..I've made osso buco with it and its AMAZING
Luv watching u guys. Have been binge watching for weeks now. Very Professional and Knowledgeable. I would luv to try it one day. Thanks for sharing!
Tell us how it goes, Hattie 😉
Id Rather Have More Meat on my Steak than Fat... Anything over Prime is Over-Rated IMO...waygu is over hyped and not worth the money
😄 I can't remember any other video where you guys say 'wow' so much.🤗
WOW! what a show,, I would love to purchase about 20 lb of the Japanese beef cow for my winter barbecue this year.
They don’t ship meat.
When you said mouth feel I immediately thought of RIPD movie.
Your experience shows, same size cut every time. Its real cool. When I cut steaks at home I always look good on the top but they bottoms are usually either way to fat or to thin and that is no matter how steady I try to keep my hand or how slow I cut. Love the channel, thanks for all the great content.
Sharp knife first off Kenny. Let your knife do the work and do not push down on the meat at all! That’s what’s causing the bottoms to turn out fat and skinny. As you apply any pressure it causes the meat to move so you will end up with a big fat cut on one then the next one will be skinny cause half of the meat is on the previous cut resulting in a fat one. You can also place the meat in the freezer for 15-20 min prior to slicing and it will firm it up and make slicing much easier.
@@1982MCI Thanks for the advice, I'll apply it next time.
I don't know why I never thought about using excess fat to grease the pan. I'll be doing that from now on!
That's Scott's Hot Tip for you, Casey! 🔥🔥
Awsome, love that butter blend
That is just unbelievable.
absolutely amazing! keep up the good work gentlemen
@9:05 A butterfly.
That steak looks deeelicious. I've never had wagyu before. Maybe one day I will.
Thank you the video guys.
Here in Arizona , there’s a manure farm and meat shop . It’s only a few minutes from me . They have and sell wagyu meat ! And it’s delicious ! It’s more expensive than any other meat but it’s the “ Bomb “ ! Try Arizona Wagyu ! :). Rovey Farm off of Northern ; in Az
Id love to see them process a whole A5 cattle!!!!
I'm not even sure they could legally obtain a Japanese Wagyu carcass. Japan is incredibly strict on their export rules of wagyu.
I got one of those full A5 picanha's from grand western steaks and cut it up into steaks....have eaten 3 so far....melts in your mouth omg so good wish I had endless money and I'd eat it everyday
also for a full prime rib plus tons of other steaks , (lots of A5 filet mignon 🤤🤤)
I dream of trying
The only thing missing is a Godsilla versus Mothra movie.
Thank you for the Link!:-)
You're welcome, Vincent!
I am watching another video from before I subscribed! Oh I would love to be able to buy a big chunk of that wazoo beef!
