  • Moderated by Shure CEO Chris Schyvinck, this webinar showcases an impressive and inspiring group of leading women broadcast professionals from around the world in the third installment of Shure's Celebrating Women in Tech.
    Panelists include:
    Robyn Gerry-Rose
    Robyn Gerry-Rose studied live sound reinforcement at Columbia College Chicago. In 2012, she moved to Los Angeles where she joined IATSE Local 695. She has "A2-ed" on live or live-to-tape broadcasts, ranging from talk shows to game shows to award shows. Highlights include The Academy Awards, The Emmy Awards, The Latin Grammys, Shark Tank, and the Queen Latifah Show.
    Apollonia
    Apollonia is a professional boom operator in the Netherlands. She attended film school, where she fell in love with sound, dabbling in editing and other responsibilities before landing as a boom operator. She prefers the challenge of being "so close to the fire" of the action of capturing audio as a boom operator and finds the focus and physical demands exciting.
    Jillian Arnold
    Jillian Arnold is a video engineer who specializes in video workflow engineering, digital acquisition, and media management. She started her career overseeing high-speed, high-resolution productions for engineering analysis as part of the Mars Program at NASA and currently manages recording and file management in live television, broadcast, and corporate event projects. Jillian is also the first female President of Local 695 - Sound, Video & Projection, and a member of the Television Academy.
    Lina
    Lina is a 23-year-old sound professional from the Netherlands. She has been working in television since she was 19 years old and currently works as a sound assistant at NEP The Netherlands. She has worked on many sport events - such as Champions League matches and cricket - as well as daily talk shows, music festivals, and a variety of gameshows.
    Yezmin Blue
    Yezmin is Manager of Broadcast Engineering for the Seattle Mariners in Seattle, Washington, at Safeco Field Stadium, where she has worked for nearly 24 years. She is responsible for management, maintenance, and administration of all aspects of ballpark broadcast engineering, audio-visual, and technical services. Yezmin holds an AA degree in Broadcast Communications and a BS in Computer Systems with an emphasis in Networking.
