    Hello, I have the exact same case. Unfortunately one of its built-in fans on the front, the top one in particular has stopped spinning 😔, the others still work though. The troubled top fan still has its light on it just won't spin despite basic troubleshooting, it's kinda alarming because when I touch in the middle of that fan, it's a bit hot to the touch but it doesn't seem to affect much my pc's temps, it ranges from 55-65 degrees celsius when I'm gaming.
    Any tip on how I can make it work or spin again?
    If not then, is it possible to replace that fan individually or would I have to remove the rest of those front fans that still functioning fans because I think they have this 3 in 1 single connector that is connected to the peripheral socket on my psu.
    Is possible to remove those built in front fans and just get from another brand to replace those?

    I'm actually curious if putting 3 more fans below the gpu w/c is vertically mounted can improve airflow and temps.

    • @Techspin
      @Techspin  Рік тому +1

      Vertically mounted? Not sure you'll have the 25mm fan depth clearance like that. Horizontally mounted thare may be space. If you're going to try this, I'd suggest moving the included 3x 120mm front fans to this location, and buy three proper 120mm fans that actually connect to your motherboard headers that can ramp up when your CPU/GPU is under load. That will have a much greater effect than the top of the PSU cover, but it can look nice. Please subscribe, thanks for your support!

    • @Techspin
      @Techspin  Рік тому +2

      The key point is for the new hotter RTX 40-series. The 3080Ti certainly does produce heat, though with the included 4 fans you shouldn't hit any thermal throttling. Using a top mounted AIO for your CPU will have two benefits, it'll dump CPU heat directly outside the case, and you'll have two more fans pushing air out that will ramp up when you're gaming or rendering. You can connect the ARGB header to the motherboard, where your motherboard manufacturer will have software to control it. For example, if you have an MSI board, download MSI Center (older boards use Dragon Center) and you can control the ARGB from there, after you connect the ARGB wire from the fans to the motherboard. Got this case today because at Turkey , E-ATX cases are so expensive... Molex is a no problem for me because theese fans are silent at molex (%100 power). If you want you can get a Molex+ 3pin Case fan, connect it to the motherboard, and connect DK431's Molex to the new Case Fan's Molex extention... And only a solution that will cost a few bucks.

    • @Techspin
      @Techspin  3 місяці тому

      Update: The master fan on this case just died, causing the other 3 slave fans to stop spinning. So we have to replace the fans.
      The problem with this is that DC/PWM case fans have a range of around 650-2000rpm depending on type/brand. At max rpm, fans are loud but they move a LOT of air. These fans are not loud, spinning slowly, and not moving a lot of air. Since these are capped running slowly at max 12v, there's no way to get them to go faster. So no, there's not a workaround... Except getting actual good fans.

    • @tonk-pc
      @tonk-pc 3 місяці тому

      @@Techspin I researched this case, the fans are 1200rpm 34CFM fans. Yes thats bad airflow but its quiet tier fans. 30-40CFM 12cm fans are quiet tier.
      If a fan is 12cm , Id expect 60-80CFM for performance in cooling.
      I upgraded this case from old cooler master silencio. I have 7600x , AK400 and rtx 3060ti. Cpu temp downed to 65 from 75-78 during gaming. My airflow improved.Also chipset and vrm temps are improved due to better airflow. But I sometimes feel that case fans have low airflow.
      For now I supported my airflow with 2x 76cfm 1800 rpm 3pin fans from left side and bottom. Will replace the default fans when they wear off (My pc is on +12hours a day, dust will wear off them fast...)

      Why are you trying to do a crazy top end solution like that with the cheapest tiny case? No it won't work. Let me ask you, how thick is a push pull? Do you think most case manufacturers allow for the massive clearance needed for that up top? Push pull will be front only. Also, I've run push pull and for the few degrees difference it's totally not worth it, most cases you'll need custom bolts, fan mounting and wiring is a headache, and if you need to remove the AIO it takes 3x the time for removal and reassembly. @@Techspin it was just a broken molex connector (orange one) in the case, just accidentally swapped one of the pins (that weren’t fixed in their positions) and now it works somehow 🤷‍♂️
      I honestly believed that asus rgb software were blocking the whole thing 🥴

      The molex connector pins can sometimes have issues as they can become dislodged. Another reason why this is a poor solution for RGB...

      Well if you're good with solid color for the darkFlash case fans, then just pick up regular Coolermaster Sickleflow ARGB and hook those up to your motherboard and match the color in software. Just make sure your motherboard has a ARGB header! Wish you luck. Please subscribe, thanks for your support!

    Can i control fan colors from motherboard ?

      6:50 we cover this in the episode. But if you haven't bought this case, there are many better options with less dangerous wiring, so I'd choose one of those instead. Please subscribe, thanks for your support!

    I don’t understand the fan part, why is it dangerous and how to avoid?

    • @Techspin
      @Techspin  Рік тому

      Plug the Molex power only into the orange side connector. Unfortunately darkFlash is not using standard fan PWM/DC connectors or ARGB daisy chaining, and they don't block the other black end of the Molex chain which is dangerous for consumers. Please subscribe, thanks for your support!

    You can just change the fans and avoid this fiasco tho right?

    • @Techspin
      @Techspin  8 місяців тому +1

      With the money spent on new fans, you're better off just buying a better case! We'd recommend the Cooler Master HAF 500 as it's got great airflow, is feature rich and super easy to build in. Also this case metal is too thin and deforms easily, something we haven't experienced on any other cases. Please subscribe, thanks for your support!

      @erronblack6763 Oh? Did it come with a 3 pin or 4 pin connector? Thanks for telling me!
