I love her version of this. Still blows my mind she wrote this.
I never realised Lulu wrote this wonderful song, one of my favourite songs performed by Tina Turner
Lulu wrote this
Thank you for giving Tina this song. It described her life perfectly. RIP Queen Tina 🙏🏻✝️☸️
Yes it fit Tina to a T .
This has made me really happy seeing this. I was the lighting operator for this series. Lulu has always been one of my favourite singers, I also had the pleasure of lighting her a couple of years ago on Jools’ Annual Hootenanny, two shows 21 years apart. 😅
She’s amazing isn’t she - would love to have met her ❤
@@Rubyrue03even today, she’s amazing. One of the nicest people in the business, always happy, friendly and professional.
@@MarkN67that’s lovely to hear - I’ve always imagined that’s the way she is as she comes across so lovely on TV interviews 😊
I had the pleasure of being in the audience at Lulu’s recent London Palladium appearance. A truly memorable evening.
Love this and thankful the song was sent to Tina as it seemed to tell the story of her life so well! Great stuff!
Fell in love with her when I watched the movie to sir with love 65yrs ago❤
Lulu and her brother Billy Lawrie wrote the song. She is a brilliant songwriter.
I thought Tina wrote all her songs.. It sounds like all she went through with ike
@@just4friends75This is about Lulu's life.
At 70 plus still got it. I remember her as a kid.
She wasn't 70 in this - she was 52 - younger than Kylie, Madonna, JLo, Mariah...are today with global sellout tours and music. She made a good choice giving this song to Turner, at least she made a modest amount of money from it than if she'd peddled this herself...
@@MarthaMansbridge I was making a comment on her age today. Yes she did very well in giving this song to Tina Turner. I think she would have made a good fist of it herself.
Wonderful ❤
Thank you for sharing this with Tina RIP🙏🏾
I love this vibe, it's killing me, can't stop listening to it, over and over again, love you, Tina
Brilliant song ❤ ❤
The song is perfect with tina turner voice, she gave it life nd 💯 justice
Yea. I remember this song. Lulu does a wonderful version. As usual, her singing is just so passionate. I think a lot of people can relate to this song. Marriage can be hard, and sometimes it's just better to be friends. God bless. 🌹
She wrote this song, did you not know that?
@@TheJohnboy1957 I'm so sorry. I did not know Lulu wrote the song! I just knew Tina Turner sang it. It makes sense now that Lulu wrote it!! Thank you. I am a new fan of Lulus!!!
@@80stimeagainwhen you hear TT sing the lyrics and knowing her background it just FEELS like her own story.
Wow, she's still got it all!
Lulu she's is a beautiful lady with a beautiful voice she still looks beautiful
Great bass player
Lulu is awesome! I think she's better now than in the old movie "To Sir with Love", though she was great in that as well as wonderful Sidney Poitier. Movie was a classic as well as Lulu❤
I’m 65, and have enjoyed throughly listening to this beautiful lady with an amazing impeccable voice for many years!
Would have loved to have met her!
Great song and a soulful performance. LULU❤️❤️❤️
I love both versions of this song. Both singers are my favor for many, many years. ❤❤❤❤❤💯💯💯👏👏👏👏👏👏
She's a fabulous, ageless performer who can sing live effortlessly with a wonderfully distinctive voice. She's our Cher.

Me too. She's the best, WATP!

Brilliant Lulu 👍👌
Love this song. Met Lulu last year it was amazing..
I love this song! It is my NATIONAL ANTHEM!
Lulu is the best singer love that voice
I don't like to compare because they're both great, but Tina's version captures the lyrics better as she was truly singing from her heart abd soul; maybe because the song speaks so accurately about her experience as an abused woman.
@@joannemark6643But Lulu wrote the song about her own life.
Man she sings the snot out of this great piece of work

I think this song really suits Lulu and I wonder why she gave it to Tiina??
Lulu gave it originally to Sade Adu who knew Tina was making the movie of her life and passed it on to Tina’s manager,Roger.
@@scottmyles4377 Thank you
Why didn't Lulu do a concert in north american to
She wrote this song .
Did she not write this
Love both versions. But Tina Turner's version is unbeatable.
She looks like a mini Olivia Newton John but her singing is what separates her👍
