the dante boss fight was the hardest for me i remember playing it in the lengendary dark knight dificulty and i got stuck in that fight like 2 days xd the hardest sht i have ever done
this is why i LOVE the vergil fights in DMC3, because the 1v1 on your equal is way better than the fight against a giant monster thing, its a way better test for you skill as well as looking super slick
Yes, and they're better because they require more speed and attention to telegraphs due to them being smaller and having attacks that match their size, but that's ultimately feasible due to your Player Character and the Boss both being humanoids with rather similar abilities and stats.
+blackdeadtree1 Play Transformers Devastation, then. Devastator and Menasor are huge, but have the same moveset and agility as bosses your size. Fuck, you even fight them both at the same time.
I appreciate that you actually understand how dmc works. It's no wonder it doesn't do well with game critics, I've read several reviews in which they complain about devil hunter being too hard for them to finish. I think devil may cry's weakpoint is in how it fails to teach the player that the goal of the game is really to do thrilling combo's, not to beat it. That and at no point in the game does it tell you how to use nero's exceed or that enemy step can cancel moves and replenish jumps/trickster moves (which is fundamental in executing combo's beyond aerial rave and the like).
Brings up the problem of choice really nicely. DMC has never been so much about "beating a foe" as it is about "how stylishly you beat a foe" bringing up the question of move choices. I never really got good at jump cancelling, although I can stay in the air pretty long as Nero, but I still had loads of fun with the series. Beating Dante's missions on DMD was insane.
"I think devil may cry's weakpoint is in how it fails to teach the player that the goal of the game is really to do thrilling combo's, not to beat it." You absolutely nailed it. I wonder how many players consider just shooting from afar "optimal".
My brother doesn't understand why I keep playing DMC4SE because of this. He's the kind of guy who does the main story then moves onto another game. Meanwhile, I'm standing here trying to come up with the most satisfying combos and being a stylish badass.
Devil Hunter is REALLY easy. On my last playthrough, I was one mission away from completing the game on Dante Must Die. I didn't bother with Heaven or Hell or Hell or Hell cuz I'm not THAT much of a masochist. And eh. I agree and disagree. I think the purpose of the game kinda depends on who you are as a player. For me, rather than pick one or the other, I like to do stylish combos WHILE beating the game. Also, it does teach you how to use Exceed in the Divinity Statue screen. Left bumper/trigger, chargeable up to three times. It also mentions with a perfect input, you can charge the whole thing in one go. Now, the finer mechanics and reflexes of it are for the player to find out, such as the cancelling.
This is the only time I will compliment reboot Dante. After DmC came out, people started to appreciate Nero all of a sudden. "Nero, buddy, I take back everything I said. Come back to me, please. We made a mistake. You're not that bad. You're not that bad..." - TheGamingBritShow 2013
Right about back then in 2008, I always thought Nero as a concept in character was nicely designed to be that one agile kid that supposed to be cool, cocky and emotional at the same time while able to have it's own place as a character below Dante, while somehow striving to get acceptance to Dante as a bud towards the end (like a junior to a senior) The only thing that actually baffles me is the origin story that made him less fleshed out and being more "obscure" in the game world, hence hardly acknowledged by the players compared to Dante which has more clear origins and development
Well, he is pretty slow and you aren't given much for you to start doing mad combos. I wouldn't mind him if we got to play dante a bit earlier or if dmc4 was a complete game and dante received areas and bosses designed around him. Instead the game felt like "Nero: the game ft. Dante" when imo it should've been the opposite but that's just my opinion.
I wish that more screen time was devoted to Dante messing with Nero. The idea of Nero as a more standard jrpg protagonist getting subtly parodied by Dante would be fun.
dante is cliche, never get close to any woman like all protagonists, he is always boring with everything, always like a "bad boy" like all cliche protagonists, but is loved by players because people loves who is "mad" but he do nothing more, many times dante seems to be superficial or a robot, not cold, but lifeless, and he most of times don't give a fuck to anything that is actually important and are parts from the story, few times he act like a lifeform, dante is very strange as a character. nero was different, they was badass and alive at same time, he think, he feel, he use the enemies to clean the floor, he give the little finger, he dont' give a fuck to shit but care about important things, he is a deep character, some protagonists are like this, but are few compared with the total of virgin protagonists that is like dante. people loves dante because he try to sell that image of alpha, but sometimes he act like a gay or a scared child when he face any situation that is not battle, he became more deep in dmc4, but still superficial compared to nero.
I think you nailed the head on why boss fights in DmC reboot aren't as good as DMC3's or 4's. They do not test your maneuverability, or the reflexes, like bosses/mini-bosses in other games. Also man, you got to talk about *all 3 Vergil boss fights in DMC3SE* at some point. Those are the fights that define the series!
Yeah they should make a devil may cry game where you fight like your twin or something in an epic but plain arena like 3 times over the course of the game....
It's the same reason why PvP and the PvP-style bosses are so thrilling in Dark Souls. Yeah, that series has a bunch of colossal enemies that are super impressive, but the mechanics that you have as a player are so precise and deep given their simplicity - now what would happen if those were used against the player? Like you say, you don't need a huge arena to make that compelling - the mechanics of the fights are impressive enough on their own. I remember basically nothing about DmC4 to be honest but this boss fight feels a little like that scenario - two guys, same size, similar speed of movement, just slashing the living fuck out of each other. Made me want to revisit that game. Thanks for the great video as always dude!
You don't remember them because, aside from Credo, all the bosses in DMC4 are utter shit. Agnus, Savior, Berial, Sanctus, Bael and Echidna are all garbage in terms of mechanics. They may look visually memorable (like the arena of the Bael boss fight or the epic showdown with Berial at the start of the game), but mechanics wise they are trash. The good bosses in the DMC series are in DMC1 and DMC3, though the latter does have its share of shit bosses like Gigapede and Leviathan..
Savior is the biggest offender. Huge boss-level in a game like DMC? Not with this awkward layout, awkward platforming controls, awkward and un-stylish way of fighting...
Wait are we commending DMC1 for bossfights now? All of the bosses from DMC4 with exception to the window and the Savior fight supersedes all of the ones in DMC1.
+Savon Moreland When aren't we commending DMC1 for its boss fights. It invented this style of game and still has some of the finest bosses in all of gaming. Nightmare, Phantom and Nelo Angelo 3 are legit more interesting than anything in DMC4 besides Credo, especially when taking into account of different the gameplay and sense of speed and movement in those games.
+brightsuperstition Nah. Dante in dmc4 is a great boss if encountered at dmd+ difficulty. Also, enemies like blitz and alto angelo are pretty interesting too. True that it's generally agreed dmc4 isn't as difficult as its predecessor , it's still much more challenging than DmC and many other games out there. It's certainly not shit.
because he's small time. if he did reviews once in a while or talked about popular games at release and uploaded more consistently then his views would go up
I didn't even know you COULD get health from his spears. I keep learning new things about this game so many years later! This fight was awesome and I was itching for more. I hope they don't forget that DMC4(and other DMC games in general) sold like hot chocolate on a cold day because people liked the world, the characters, and especially well made fights like this.(Except 2 of course)
Bleachlover01 the problem with 2 was they took away Dante's personality, the combat in it needed work definitely but was serviceable, that little kick off the wall and falling straight down guns blazing never got old. It's good they learned from it though, dmc3 and 4 were amazing.
It did make the series less "Resident-Evily", made the Devil Trigger more customizable, added a "super" version of the Devil Trigger that triggers when you're at low health, allowed for more upgrades... Plus, it also added Lucia, who may just be Best Girl.
Side note: "DMC4SE Vergil & Dante vs the Order of the Sword" by donguri990 has two really awesome Credo fights in it, one as Dante and one as Vergil. The Dante one in particular is a thing of beauty and recommended viewing for anyone who wants to see a super-stylish Credo beatdown.
You should check Sakaki1224's Credo fight with Dante. Turbo Button commented on it as well. ua-cam.com/video/ken8sOu0x-8/v-deo.html Also 2bepower fought 6 Credos at a time.
Superb video, I dig it. By the way, more often than not the solution to Devil May Cry's challenges is simplicity itself. Sure, if you got the reflexes, you can just jump away or block it or counter it or whatever, but the easiest solution is the easiest to perform. For example, rolling through credo's summoned blades is super tight, but just double jumping sideways resolves it. Attacking Bael in midair is better. Simple as that. Other titles, especially DMC3, have similar solutions you wouldn't think of right away. For example the hell vanguard (the death reaper miniboss)'s teleporting attack that comes from below is a bit tight to dodge at first, and sure, you can dodge it. But it will never hit you if you simply walk away from him. No circle on the ground? just jump, it'll be coming sideways. Gigapede's a pain, but his purple orbs can be deflected back and it usually kills him fast. Jester has annoying orb attacks, but they can be blocked with RoyalGuard easily. Agni and Rudra are frustrating, but if you fight between them, they'll do most of the damage themselves and stunlock each other. Beowulf's cages can easily be pushed back at him for massive damage. Lady is extremely weak to quicksilver, just with Beowulf's basic attacks you can skip phase two, which is what you want, even on Dante Must Die. Vergil can block bullets and melee attacks, sure. After you get him and do some combos he'll step back a bit and if you keep attacking, you'll be punished. However if you shoot him as he steps back, he won't react. If you have Gunslinger + shotgun this really hurts him (plus it looks cool). Or you can shoot a few rockets. Gideon....Gideon can eat garbage for all I care I hate him.
Vergil is a different story in DmC Definitive Edition. He was rebalanced to be much harder, and on Gods Must Die is one of the most difficult boss fights in the series.
+Potidaon Did they remove the obnoxious cut-scenes during the boss fight? No? Well, that's a letdown. All I see is that they made Vergil's health bar higher. Doesn't really add much to the boss fight. Also watched some footage on Gods Must Die. It really isn't all that difficulty, honestly. Hey, the Definitive Edition is an improvement over the original game, I'll give you that. Too bad I won't experience it, because Ninja Theory had the bright (as in boneheaded) idea to NOT port this game to the PC, despite the fact that the vanilla version was already on PC. Hell, even an update would've been nice, since 60 FPS isn't an issue on the PC Version. And I'm not willing to buy a PS4 or Xbox One (at least not yet...) for a game that disappointed me, to disappoint me less...
reminds me of Fume Knight, Alonne, Abyss Watchers, Sulyvahn, Artorias, Gehrman, Gascoigne. that feeling of being completely in the zone and almost dancing with your opponent, reflexes absolutely firing on all cylinders
Speaking of dancing, recommend watching this Credo fight:ua-cam.com/video/ken8sOu0x-8/v-deo.html literally dancing around the boss by exploiting movements from attacks that aren't even evades.
Those paused poses are called key frames and their crucial in animation principal. Also something the AAA West has yet to figure out it seems. Whether slow or fast, everything is evenly paced with no hold times or strong poses.
dude, seriously, great analysis! i love videos like these and would love it if you did more on dmc4! it's my favorite game of all time, still playing it.
And DMC5 is announced, so this was in my suggestions. Also gotta love just how elegant and grandiose Credo was. His words "I am an angel!" are still engrained in my head.
I accidentally found your channel, and after watching some videos i was amased by your content. Man, you have a brilliant talent in telling and reasoning, vids are really entertaining. I am speechless, thank you.
More please, love the way you talk about animation as a part of gameplay (and find amazing games to talk about). Keep on highlighting the genius that makes games the amazing experiences that they are!
Thank you for introducing me to TECHNOuchi with that outro song. Quite possibly the best OST I've ever heard, hits that musical scratch I could never seem to itch
On my most recent playthrough of DMC4, I was fighting Credo and we were both down to a sliver of health. I was in the air, with my feet at about head height, and he was on the ground just in front of me. He had a spear charged up, and so I thought, "Well, that sucker's going to hit me. Better luck next time... might as well swing for the fences, though." I went for the Buster grab on the spear, partially as a joke, and I nailed it. Point blank caught the damn thing and shoved it right into his face, and holy hell, was that a rush.
See Cavaliere Angelo in DMC5 for the newer version of this fight. I would say check the Vergil fight in mission 20, but every Vergil battle is in a class all its own.
It was the same for me, but the best part was the story behind this fight, it wasnt just a random demon encounter, he was kinda like your family, and he wasnt evil either. But the best part, we could see how good he was at fighting. To me this was the final boss for Nero.
Way back in the day, when i finished DMC4 i always replayed this boss fight, and this boss fight only, cause it was so badass, and it was the best one. Never gets boring
Honestly, I hate how everyone seems to hate DMC, but you make great points in the gameplay for combat not being the same. They had great ideas here and there in it, and the story isn't as horrible as most people make it since it was meant to be before he got a hang of his powers, but it still had a lot of great points. But, still, I do like how you broke the boss fight down. Really illuminating on all the aspects of what makes great Devil May Cry boss fights.
Yeah, you can use buster on it when he's blocking and it does a significant amount of damage to it. Once it gets beyond red he gets stunned and is vulnerable to all attacks + buster finisher.
I've played Devil May Cry 5 and I have to agree, the versatile combat is the selling point behind these games, because it allows you to explore new possibilities and test new moves and strategies, regardless if you're inexperienced or well-adjusted to the controls. As I master the controls, I felt a bit of catharsis since I'm aware of how far I have improved since I've last played.
Credo is one of my favorite boss fights ever, and the reason is because of its pacing and how it seems engineered to create Flow. Like you mention, his telegraphs and attack pacing are brilliant, there's always juuuuuuuust enough time for you to realize Credo is saying "MY TURN!" before he counters, and the whole feeling of the fight is "Two (roughly) equally skilled combatants throwing down."
Fucking YES. The fight against Credo was so much damn fun. It actually gave me this really high expectation for how the rest of the game was going to be, but it ended up falling short with the repeated bosses.
My favorite kind of boss has always been "shadow boss" who is basically just you fighting someone comparable to yourself in size and agility. Now that you mention it, Credo's definitely in that camp.
DMC4 is such a fantastic example of the absolute best of hack'n slash combat, gameplay-wise it's the best in the series. I hope the leeches in control of Capcom can restrain themselves from fucking up and let the developers do their job for the next DMC game. With enough room to breath, stretch their legs and expand on already amazing mechanics the series has yet to reach its pinnacle.
Bosses that are close in style to the player are the best. I mean human-ish sized human-ish built enemies. I greatly enjoy fight with Dante in Devil May Cry 4, yet utterly disappointed in final fight with Vergil in DMC.
Credo was a really underrated character. He had personality and good character. I always loved the way they thought they were Angels but they turned into these insane demons it was very ironic. The fight with Vergil in DMC3 is literally one of the best boss fights in game history. It's the same as this Credo one but on a better level. This is why I enjoy the DMC series over the Bayonetta or God of War series. Because they don't have these boss fights or combat so well established. Really good video honestly.
i remember that this fight turned into some Epic-Mess when i fought Credo in the air i used Dash to teleport behind him he did the same to teleport behind me, and instantly disappeared far into the arena at the same time i accidentally pushed another dash move, out of panic, and teleported after him in which was behind him again, somehow. and then some other insane combo happen + dodging and dashing, i don't really remember, but it was awesome.
God that Nero's fight against the bird man , there are a few videos that make the game seems like you are watching the greatest fight in the history of animu.
You and a dood in a well light area with no walls to get the camera in a tizzy, it's just a fucking 1 on 1 and I loved it from the first time I SAW IT let alone play it.
Credo was simply amazing. His design and his patterns. He was a big challenge for me, especially when i took most of his HP down, after that he was at the same level as Vergil in his 3rd fight, way too fast for me to react. This fight literally took all Vergil fights from DMC 3 and fused them into one. Credo is fast and powerful and as the fight goes he becomes even better just to make a bigger challenge.
Devil May Cry's boss fights function on the rule of inverse proportions. The smaller the boss, the harder the fight.
Marius Urucu Yeahhhh.. Berial and The Savior aren't exactly that challenging...
Compared to Credo and the old geezer, they are kinda easy. As Nero, anyway.
Bael is the hardest.
the dante boss fight was the hardest for me i remember playing it in the lengendary dark knight dificulty and i got stuck in that fight like 2 days xd the hardest sht i have ever done
I beat the entire Nero half of the game (I was later stuck as Dante and I dropped it) on legendary dark knight difficulty and I DONT EVEN REMEMBER IT!
this is why i LOVE the vergil fights in DMC3, because the 1v1 on your equal is way better than the fight against a giant monster thing,
its a way better test for you skill as well as looking super slick
Vergil 2 is a ton of fun
I also like to circle the arena, gradually getting closer before actually attacking. Great part is, the AI does the same.
yeah fight against Dante in DMC 4 was great also
Yes, and they're better because they require more speed and attention to telegraphs due to them being smaller and having attacks that match their size, but that's ultimately feasible due to your Player Character and the Boss both being humanoids with rather similar abilities and stats.
I personally think Vergil's final battle was more than just gameplay, it was thematic to the game as well.
Bosses your size are always more exciting than giant bosses.
it could be cool if they made a bigger boss who sort of acts like a rival boss and does things in response to whatever you do.
blackdeadtree1
That is interesting but hard to pull off. Shadow of the Collossus comes the cloest to pulling off I think.
+blackdeadtree1 Play Transformers Devastation, then. Devastator and Menasor are huge, but have the same moveset and agility as bosses your size. Fuck, you even fight them both at the same time.
i'd say thats close as we'll get, but yeah those fights were pretty cool.
Marius Urucu
Will give it a shot then.
That would explain why I kept playing that level over and over just to fight credo again, he was just so damn fun
deathendz yeah me too I always play mission 7 just to fight him
It's 8, 7 is echidna
Credo is such a great boss battle. It always gives me that rewarding feeling.
PersonaVergil credo is the only boss fight that makes me feel like a boss I rekt him badly and feel like a badass
I appreciate that you actually understand how dmc works.
It's no wonder it doesn't do well with game critics, I've read several reviews in which they complain about devil hunter being too hard for them to finish.

Nero is underrated/underapreciated simply because he isn't Dante.
Nero is cliche, he does cool things, but he's not cool.
Akeem Brookes Nero is pretty nice, for not highly mechanichs players Nero is fun and a good "tutorial" or training for combos and stuffs
Nero has been claiming some clout since DmC came out from what I've seen. lol

It's too bad you only fight him once while you fight all the other bosses 3 times -_-

blackdeadtree1 That's the point, Credo was the best boss in the game.
It's like only fighting Virgil once in DMC3 and leaving you wanting more.
yeah, but i'd hardly call the other bosses bad. but if we had to repeatedly fight dmc: dmc tier bosses, then we'd have a MAJOR problem.
Some people have a theory that THAT was the original plan for Credo.

You should check Sakaki1224's Credo fight with Dante. Turbo Button commented on it as well.
ua-cam.com/video/ken8sOu0x-8/v-deo.html
Also 2bepower fought 6 Credos at a time.
Anza TNT Nicely written. Btw, I havent heard of Gideon? Who's that?
It's the time horse. I call him: Garbage Express.
Anza TNT Oh, the one gave Dante time stop ability
You mean Geryon, but if you hit him in the head he lies down easy.
Something I found out about geryon recently is that you can cancel his quicksilver out if you have it equipped
I'm glad that Credo is getting more love, wished he was in the series for much longer.
You forgot the icing on the cake: HIS KICKASS BOSS THEME
Vergil has the best rival battles in the DMC series, nuff said.
(not referring to DmC's Vergil fight, its a joke)
Fighting him as Nelo Angelo in DMC1 is way better
DmC's Vergil fight was dope, he's hard as fuck on the higher difficulties, obviously.
@@thef1rmament Okay, but he's still inferior to DMC3 and DMC5 Vergil in every possible way.
After watching a couple of your videos today, including the Metroid one and this one, you just got yourself another subscriber. ;)
Imagine that Credo could also use the Exceed system
That'd be so cool and fitting as Nero's equal
The order's swords can rev so yeah
reminds me of Fume Knight, Alonne, Abyss Watchers, Sulyvahn, Artorias, Gehrman, Gascoigne.
that feeling of being completely in the zone and almost dancing with your opponent, reflexes absolutely firing on all cylinders
Dont forget Orphan of Kos and Lady Maria.
Speaking of dancing, recommend watching this Credo fight:ua-cam.com/video/ken8sOu0x-8/v-deo.html
literally dancing around the boss by exploiting movements from attacks that aren't even evades.
Man, your level of analysis is so deep that is almost overwhelming. Thanks a lot for this video.
Still playing this game over 9 years after release - it’s definitely a masterpiece!
Those paused poses are called key frames and their crucial in animation principal. Also something the AAA West has yet to figure out it seems. Whether slow or fast, everything is evenly paced with no hold times or strong poses.
People many people can't tell what's good animation. I've literally seen people saying DmC animation is smoother than DMC4.
Until now, I can't seem to find any better boss fight than this one.
dude, seriously, great analysis! i love videos like these and would love it if you did more on dmc4! it's my favorite game of all time, still playing it.
Thank you for telling me why i love this boss fight, i never thought about it, just accepted, that its fun and perfect!
Damn I loved that boss fight still hoping for dmc 5
Wish granted
Thank you for introducing me to TECHNOuchi with that outro song. Quite possibly the best OST I've ever heard, hits that musical scratch I could never seem to itch
After that video, think I'll go play through it again... :/
Great video. So many years have gone by and I still recall how much I enjoyed that fight.
I used to play this guy on repeat for hours back in the day. Nice to see he's getting some love!
We need more reviews like you, man. Nailed what I liked most about DMC4
See Cavaliere Angelo in DMC5 for the newer version of this fight. I would say check the Vergil fight in mission 20, but every Vergil battle is in a class all its own.
One of my favourite fights from the series, and DMC4 wasn't my cup of tea. Lovely stuff here.
It was the same for me, but the best part was the story behind this fight, it wasnt just a random demon encounter, he was kinda like your family, and he wasnt evil either. But the best part, we could see how good he was at fighting.
To me this was the final boss for Nero.
Same. I rarely even play other games besides league but I was like "wow I genuinely enjoyed that boss fight"
Palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy, there's vomit on his shield already, Credo's spaghetti
I don't think the anatomy of designing a great boss fight can be discussed without bringing up the Mr Freeze fight from Arkham City
Truly one of my favorite boss fights! Another great video!
To use a well known soliloquy:
It's the little things.
DmC:DmC Dante vs Vergil final boss fight was Fantastic. Fight me!
I go back to this boss fight EVERYTIME I play DMC4. Its just that fun :)
that fight sucks
Credo's battle theme is also one of the best OSTs!
This is a pretty excellent analysis.
And here we are, 6 months away from the launch of Devil May Cry 5. How far we've come.
I totally agree with you. Whenever I replay DMC4 Credo is the one boss I most looked foward to.
Credo is still to this day my favorite boss in... well anything actually.
man this is really great analyzing
I love how he throws the spear and you can catch it and blast him back with it now that's badass!
The bosses in dmc 4 are fast, fun, and exciting, I loved every minute of each one.
Way back in the day, when i finished DMC4 i always replayed this boss fight, and this boss fight only, cause it was so badass, and it was the best one. Never gets boring
You hit all the notes perfectly, agreed, nice video
Honestly, I hate how everyone seems to hate DMC, but you make great points in the gameplay for combat not being the same. They had great ideas here and there in it, and the story isn't as horrible as most people make it since it was meant to be before he got a hang of his powers, but it still had a lot of great points.
But, still, I do like how you broke the boss fight down. Really illuminating on all the aspects of what makes great Devil May Cry boss fights.
Hate DMC or DmC?
Irvan Bahcdim Context clues are your friend ;)
I hate how you seem to hate that everyone seems to hate dmc
Hugo Farias Unnecessary.
BUSTIN MAKES ME FEEL GOOD
Yooo I do remember this boss fight. It was nasty. Nice video!
How else can you get Lad points? Can you jump cancel the Piri piri powder in to a reversal flying gaurd?
Is Credo's shield giving out a DMD thing? I thought I remembered his shield actually having health, signified by the colored barrier around it.
The shield thing happens on all difficulty levels.
Yeah, you can use buster on it when he's blocking and it does a significant amount of damage to it. Once it gets beyond red he gets stunned and is vulnerable to all attacks + buster finisher.
You can wind up killing him in other difficulties before it happens because of the lower health threshold
Brilliant thoughts about DmC: Devil May Cry. Back then, I couldn't believe what happened to the series...
And the music during that fight?? Fit Soo well!
Love these vids Turbo Button. Good stuff.
Will say; being able to parry, block, or straight up reversal the bosses moves,
*feels so right*
Credo is one of my favorite boss fights ever, and the reason is because of its pacing and how it seems engineered to create Flow.
Honestly better than 5's Vergil
My favorite kind of boss has always been "shadow boss" who is basically just you fighting someone comparable to yourself in size and agility. Now that you mention it, Credo's definitely in that camp.
Top tier use of Sister Sledge. Subbed.
This video was great, you've earned yourself a new sub ^^
DMC4 is such a fantastic example of the absolute best of hack'n slash combat, gameplay-wise it's the best in the series. I hope the leeches in control of Capcom can restrain themselves from fucking up and let the developers do their job for the next DMC game. With enough room to breath, stretch their legs and expand on already amazing mechanics the series has yet to reach its pinnacle.
omg, your analysis is awesome
Now that's a whole other level of seeing devil may cry
And that's why Vergil fight in DMC5 is the best of the game and probably the best of the series.
Dante Vs Credo - One of the best battles I ever had.
Bosses that are close in style to the player are the best. I mean human-ish sized human-ish built enemies. I greatly enjoy fight with Dante in Devil May Cry 4, yet utterly disappointed in final fight with Vergil in DMC.
Sort of reminded me of an evolution of the Nero Angelo fights in DMC1 (the original)
Aww yes Krato. Honestly my favorite DMC boss fight too.
I really hope they bring this back in DMC5, Ooo I can't wait!
Credo has always been my favorite fight in DMC4
Credo is one of the greatest boss fights in gaming history!
Credo was my favorite boss in DMC4, and the best boss in any game I've encountered in a few years. Difficult but fair.
my favorite part was getting nero to do the B combo on Credo's shield with devil trigger on.
Excellent video. Keep it up!
Your best video so far sir.
It's been a long time since I've played this game, and I barely remember this boss. But he seems like a very fair and interesting one.
5:33 Not just that but his dialogue also shows how angry he's getting with you beating him.
i remember that this fight turned into some Epic-Mess when i fought Credo in the air
i used Dash to teleport behind him
he did the same to teleport behind me, and instantly disappeared far into the arena
at the same time i accidentally pushed another dash move, out of panic, and teleported after him in which was behind him again, somehow.
and then some other insane combo happen + dodging and dashing, i don't really remember, but it was awesome.
To this day, Credo is still one of my favourite bosses of all time.
He may not be as epic as Vergil’s three, but damn was this an enjoyable experience
God that Nero's fight against the bird man , there are a few videos that make the game seems like you are watching the greatest fight in the history of animu.
Credo is my fav boss and i want to create bosses like that in my game but it aint gona be easy :/
Best of luck!
Turbo Button
Thanks!
Best of luck for both of us I guess, I plan on doing boss designs as well. Now where should I find my DMC games..............
You and a dood in a well light area with no walls to get the camera in a tizzy, it's just a fucking 1 on 1 and I loved it from the first time I SAW IT let alone play it.
First 2 example clips in the video are metal gear rising and no more heroes 2...
Yeah this guy knows what he's talking about.
