- Well after 8 days on the road, I finally made it to Smithers British Columbia to see my sister Janet. In this episode we ride up Highway 16 as we continue our trip North while exploring beautiful British Columbia along the way.
Thanks for riding a long!
This video is part of a 24 day road trip that will take us from my home in Northern California, up to see my sister Janet in the town of Smithers, British Columbia, (which is approximately 1000 miles North of the U.S. Border) while camping as much as possible along the way.
So sit back and relax and enjoy my take on visual storytelling,.......
Thanks for Riding Along!

Love the video and the map overlay. Makes me feel like I'm riding along. Exploring new areas on a bike is one of my favorite things. No distractions, no commitments except arriving, sometimes a few hours late, and a view that is unparalleled in most 4 wheelers.
Thanks Rob, that means a lot to me knowing that your riding along! Hopefully later this year we can plan a ride together. The feeling of finally arriving at your destination after a long ride on a motorcycle is something that I just can’t really describe. It has to be experienced, and what an experience it is!
See ya soon cousin 🍻😎
Excellent trip..... thanks for sharing
Thanks Stephen! I had a great time and I’m happy to share it with you 🍻😎🇨🇦
Forrest, something about what your doing strikes a nerve concerning reaching out to family who we either have lost touch with, or moved multiple miles away. I'm not sure if your retired or on Holiday so to speak but you tickle the need to add items to the bucket list like connecting to Long lost relatives who in reality are Just around the corner.
You spoke with that Gentleman in the black jeep and he reminisced about his Dad having a Royal Enfield!
That's what this is all about! Slowing down like yesteryear and taking time to smell the roses before they disappear like the polar bear is.
Royal Enfield appears to be a leisure way of living. It's own movement!
( Like that finer Gentleman's ride with your Daughter....tear jerker Forrest.
My Daughter is 2700 miles away in New England !)
Keep up the excellent video work and narration. Very soothing( Mr. Ed in Vegas)
Thank you so much for the kind words Ed, I’m about 10 years out from retirement but the need for exploration of places I have never been is strong and if I can somehow reconnect with family and friends while riding a motorcycle to do it all then I consider myself a lucky man.
There is something about making memories while riding that will last a lifetime.
🍻😎
@@NorthboundMotorcycleADV Hey Forrest...35 degrees and snow in the forecast. I'm praying for you. I started thinking. 🤔 Awful darn cool this time of year for cruising! How about the short Clip of the new Star Wars movie last night? Stay warm and Stay safe!
I agree completely! We have to hold tight to memories, thoughts and love the ones we care for...one day they'll be gone. I keep forgetting that my Mom just passed. I keep picking up the phone...just to ask her a quick question....just to put the phone back down again. So, love them and cherish them while you have the opportunity! Thank you for the great videos, Forrest!
I'm glad you got to Smithers, am really enjoying your journey.
Thanks Steve! The anticipation of finally getting there kept building by the minute, thanks for riding along, and just wait till you see what happens next. Smithers is amazing!
🍻😎❤️😂
Dear Forrest, this trip is just getting better and better. I'm thoroughly enjoying riding along with you. I do love BC. Some years ago I flew over from Blighty and fished the Kitimat river close to Terrace. Stunning part of the world. Extremely pleasant locals as well. Very fond memories indeed. Anyway...many thanks for another splendid video and look forward to more.
All the very best
Justin
Thanks Justin and I could not agree more. B.C. is definitely a stunningly beautiful part of the world! I’m really glad you are enjoying the adventure. Thanks again for watching 🍻😎
I sure enjoy watching your rides ... 💙
Thanks
Bill! I can’t imagine my life without riding now…😎
Another great vid,Forrest! Keep them coming
Thanks Kevin!
I have to admit, making the videos is almost as fun as riding on the trip itself. It’s really turned into a wonderful hobby. Thanks again for watching 🍻😎
Glad you're riding safely... stay safe!!
Always!
Man, seeing family after being away for a long time is the best! Couple things, that map overlay is what I'm talking about man!! I really like that and I know what it takes to make all that come together and it looks spot on fantastic. Also, not a thing wrong with hitting a hotel for a nice reset every once and while. The last thing I really shouldn't say because of well, you know, reasons, but that Jeep dudes stickers on his window LOL. 🙂 Ready for the next one brother, uploaded yet?!!!
I couldn’t agree more Chris, seeing family is the best and to ride up on a motorcycle to do it is the icing on the cake 😎 thanks so much on the compliment on the map. I have been trying to get that to work the way I wanted it to for a while now and finally got it! Love Hockey 😂
THANKS FOR YOUR CONTINUING SUPPORT MY FRIEND!! 🍻🍻😎
I guess you just have to trade a working phone and credit card for good weather in British Columbia.
I guess your plans ahead involve more than 10 dollars in your wallet!
Another great episode.
😂 the weather changed daily, and so did my access on the card. Lol, in my defense I did call the bank and they fixed it however the visa part of it shut it down, so then I had to call them and fix it as well, then the bank shut it down again, then the visa people shut it down again, and it was just a continuous vicious cycle for a few days. All in all, though, it was a true adventure, and I loved every minute of it! Thanks, as always for watching Scooter, wait until you see the next episode!🍻😎🇨🇦
BC = bring cash
I have had the bank cut my cards off like that when I traveled. At least you got there in one piece, albeit a bit hungry.
Nothing a simple phone call to the bank couldn’t fix (or so I thought) more on that subject to come lol. Let’s just say that dinner was really good that night 😎 🍻
Right on, homie. It's been pissing raim here in hiouchi...but e have sunshine right now! Good to see a new adventure
Rain is the topic of the day here in Eureka as well, I’m glad you like the video, this trip just keeps getting better and better!
Thanks again for watching 🍻😎
Hey Forrest.
Know what you mean about your card, the cash machine at my local shops takes mine and refuses to give it back sometimes, crazy man.
Enjoyed the ride up, nice and steady and great scenery.
Glad you made it safely; looking forward to your next instalment.
Ride safe.
Neil from across the pond.
PS, it rained, what’s that all about man?
😂 ohh it rained on me a few times 🤣 I was really surprised by how quickly the weather conditions changed as I rode north. I can’t begin to express how much fun and excitement I had on this trip! Thanks so much for watching as this trip just continues to get better with each day!
Until next time my friend 🍻😎
@@NorthboundMotorcycleADV Looking forward to “till next time” my friend
I guess you didn't make it to Ft St James eh? It's neat to see people's take on roads I travel all the time. It's all commonplace to me but your fresh perspective is neat to see.
Hi Sean, keep watching the series my friend, I managed to swing by Ft St James on DAY 12 on my way south from Smithers 👍 Fantastic place! I really enjoy going to living history places like Ft St James. I wish I could have spent more time there it was great!
Thanks again for watching and the great comments! 🍻😎
Deserves an emmy, good short movie, Impressive edditing, so enjoyable, what was the plot? O yeah riding your er-H😊 love the music, man, never “clastrophobic “ , I felt I was seeing what you were experiencing. Humbel, contemplative, relaxing, poetic, what was the plot?
Glad you enjoyed it! 🍻😎
