Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 вер 2024
- In this video we will leave Bow Valley Provincial Park early in the morning and head towards Calgary and some much needed maintenance on the Mudhorn...21,000mile service, rear tire replaced, and more...then riding South before crossing back into British Colombia.
So sit back and relax, I think you're gonna like this!
Thanks for riding a long!
This video is part of a 24 day road trip that will take us from my home in Northern California, up to see my sister Janet in the town of Smithers, British Columbia, (which is approximately 1000 miles North of the U.S. Border) while camping as much as possible along the way.
So sit back and relax and enjoy my take on visual storytelling,.......
Thanks for Riding Along!

The head winds along that route are no joke!
Those early morning starts are the best.
Great video thanks for taking us along.
Man, I couldn’t agree more with you Critter
Those head winds were brutal!
I love riding early in the morning as everything is fresh and new and the day presents itself in a fantastic way on a motorcycle.
Thanks for riding along as always !🍻😎
What an exquisite morning at the start of the video. Just a breathtaking landscape in the pre-dawn light. It’s the kind of morning ride that burns into my memory.
And the freezing, sleepless nights camping… man your video reminded me how glad I am that they’re in my rear view mirror!
Watching your trip was a great way to start my day. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to the service video but I’m sad the trip is drawing to a close.
Thanks for the great comments Scooter, I absolutely love riding early in the morning. To be able to wake up at a campsite and have some coffee and start your day that way for me. It just doesn’t get any better. Thanks for watching as always, and The service video will be coming out at the end of the series
🍻😎🇨🇦
Thank you Forrest for allowing us to ride along with you!
Your kind of adventure has been the antidote needed for a new riding season. Curious about your servicing Mud Runner!
Stay Healthy!
You are always welcome to ride along Ed! 😎
The service video will be coming out soon after the series is over. Only a few more episodes to go now, thanks again for riding along! 🍻
I really enjoy the drive through the Crowsnest pass. It's a neat area of both BC and Alberta.
The terrain is definitely changing, I have to say I have thoroughly enjoyed every part of this trip. I absolutely love Canada and cannot wait to go back!
Thanks for riding along Sean ! 🍻😎
That's a great video, Forrest-totally enjoyed it! And, I like the name; "Mudhorn"! The Black Pearl sends greetings to a fellow Himalayan scooter🙂
Thanks so much for the comments Alex!
The Black Pearl is a great name for the Himalayan however, as you probably already know, I am a huge Star Wars fan, so I named my bike the “Mudhorn” after the Mandalorian! 😁
Thanks again for riding along Alex only a few more episodes to go in the series. 🍻😎
@@NorthboundMotorcycleADV I'd really like to watch the series, but haven't yet. We were lucky, and got in for the very first Star Wars showing in Sacramento, "way back when"! Sci fi and I are old friends!! Keep the great videos coming, Forrest!!
Made my day seeing your video posted for Saturday morning coffee! Another beautiful ride and always love the brewery stops. Bummer your almost through your trip vlog, but as a fellow Himalayan guy, also looking forward to your service video.
Thanks for watching Dan and I’m glad my videos go well with morning coffee 😆☕️
I have to admit, I do the same thing while watching the Motorcycle Travel Channel, really enjoy having morning coffee, and watching his videos. My service video will be combined with a gear review, and I should have that out at the conclusion of the trip. Only a few more episodes to go now, thanks for riding along Dan! 🍻😎
Another great video man allways waiting for the next installment, ride safe bud.
Thanks so much Jason!
Only a few more episodes left in this trip 😁
🍻😎
Agree about the comments on the morning. I love those crisp morning rides with the sun. PRICELESS. Great way to start my Sat morning with coffee. Curious about your bike repairs and what issues you had at 21K of miles. I have a Moto mechanic friend in Calgary.
Cheers. ~Grizz
If you can’t get out for an early morning Saturday ride for yourself, then I guess drinking coffee and watching my video would be a good substitute lol I have to admit I do the same thing while watching the motorcycle Travel Channel, Sterling Noreen does a great job and I really enjoy watching his videos to morning coffee as well. rest assured I will be doing a service video at the completion of this series and will talk about what problems I had with the bike at that time. Thanks for riding along and it was great meeting you the other day! Ride safe, my friend
👍
😁
Thanks! 🍻😎🇨🇦
Next time you are in the area let me know I live in Cochrane, AB right of A1 would love to ride with you and show you the area. Great Vid
Hey thanks for the offer, I might just take you up on that next time 😁
Thanks for watching the channel as well, you live in an amazing place and I can’t wait to go back 🍻🇨🇦😎
Really luved the early ride in the pre dawn light.
Lovely scenery the whole ride. Headwinds are a bummer and it’s worrying when your real low on gas, we’ll into the “F” and you don’t know where the next service station is.
As a fellow Himmy owner I’m looking forward to your service vid.
Bummer that the trip is winding down; but what awesome places you’ve been and seen.
Mind how you go.
Neil from across the pond.
Thanks for the comments Neil,
predawn light on a motorcycle is fantastic! I will be posting my service video at the completion of the series. Only a few more episodes to go now, thanks for riding along.🍻😎
Just found your channel!
Awesome videos!
I just rode from marin to Ruth lake on alderpoint road. Then back home hwy36 then down 1!
I’m heading to the lost coast soon!
See ya on the road!
Fantastic ride!
Next time you ride Alderpoint road up to hey36, cross the hwy and go through bridgeville and take Neland road up and over into Arcata. Dirt/gravel road most of the way with amazing views. Take a look at this video I made riding the opposite direction
ua-cam.com/video/e7G7JShXIYQ/v-deo.html
Have fun and welcome to the channel!
Hope to see ya on the road! 😎🍻
Forest I have a couple questions about the lost coast.
@@jafa712 I’ll do my best. What’s your question?
Unfortunately the trip that was planned had to be scrapped. There are a bunch of roads closed up in Mendocino county. Down trees! Heading south on HWY 1 parts are closed as well. Maybe it’s a good time to head to Utah!
Look forward to seeing your next video!
Thought about doing a patreon? I’m sure more than one subscriber would love to contribute.
🤔 I will give that some thought 🍻😎
Wife and I just purchased 2 Himalayans
What is you cruising speed in this video? 😊
First of all, congratulations to you and your wife on the new Himalayan’s! You are going to have so much fun with those bikes! To answer your question, 55 is the sweet spot, but cruising between 60 and 65 all day long is totally possible and I did it for several days. Anything over 65 the bike starts to become unhappy.
Thanks for watching and hope to see you too on the road someday 🍻😎
