4:03 I have also tested this extensively myself and Helltide Chests 100% change at the top of the hour… everything else you just said is completely random. Their contents from what I can tell are completely random however I am sure there is a pattern that will emerge. But i can confirm that the absolute BEST Helltide to take advantage of is any Helltide that Starts at 15mins PAST the top of the hour… this means that you have about 35 solid minutes of just uninterrupted cinder farming without worrying about chests. Doing this solo And knowing where the events are in that zone I am usually able to get 500-800 cinders in this time frame. Then I spend the last 10min before the top of the hour opening chests. The goal is to open as many chests as possible in this 10min window because the chests are about to reset and you can open them again after the top of the hour. Everyone goes for that juicy Mystery Chest and it is nice! However if you target a chest that has uniques that you do not have yet you will likely get one. Drop rates seem to be about 10% for your class unique and 5% for all the rest other than the 6 ubers. Those still seem to have a 0.01% drop. Which is just unobtainable. But… any given chest could drop it. I think they even said ANY chest could drop ANY unique…
In the patch notes, it's mentioned "With the above change players will now be able to find Unique items from ALL Helltide Chests. Uber Unique items also have a chance to be found from all chests" This reads as a non-head unique can drop from any chest not just head chest in the helltide necessarily, similarly a weapon unique might drop from head chest as in your first example. This not as easily target farmed it seems like.
Dont know if we play different games but i farmed over 60 Chests (mostly gloves and chests and after the hotfix) today and not one! unique, mostly yellow. Its hard to believe you got all the uniques in an 1 hour and a half. Sounds more like you farmed during the bug and saying now you got them later on when it was fixed.
they re-spawn on the hour, your time. What affects the variability is when the Helltied starts. If it starts at 10:50 your time you've only got 10 min to farm cinders and farm chest. If it starts at 11:30 you've got 30 min to farm then it'll reset at 12.
I don't know if it's totally accurate to say you only have 10 minutes if you start at 10:50. It's not like you lose your cinders on the hour. The chests simply move at that point. All you have to do is figure out their new spawn points. Right? Maybe I'm wrong....
@@VertPlaysGames you are correct, you do not lose any cinders. My point is more focused on maximizing how many chest you can open during an entire Helltied. Given you have about 50ish minutes, if it’s starts closer to the end of the hour it leaves you with less time to farm cinders to open a chest before the next hour which is when the chest move spawn locations. Especially ow with chest costing 250 cinders. For example, lets assume helltied is happening in an area of the map that has two zones. Each zone has a hidden chest that cost 250. If you can farm 250 cinders before the top of the hour you’ll be able to open a chest in one area before the hr. Then again once the spawn resets on the next hour. If you are a savage gamer and can farm 500 cinders before the chest move spawns you could open 4 total chest during one Helltied - one per zone per spawn reset. Which is why it they “nerfed” the cost by increasing it to 250 cinders. Hope that makes sense?
Each section of the map is a separate server instance if you're solo. It doesn't always swap to a new server instance, but sometimes it takes multiple tries or you may need to log out and log back in. It works similar to how those event farming "exploits" work when entering and exiting a dungeon or cellar. Like Maugans Works, you enter and exit and upon exit there's sometimes an event. You are essentially entering another server instance that someone else is technically in or it is waiting for someone to be in. That's why it seems random and a lot of times why you can log out and log back in to see a chest you just opened either not there or available again. It's interesting, but it also makes it so that not everyone is on the same map at the same time. That would mess up the servers real bad. At least that's my theory as to how I understand how game servers function. Destiny and the divisions open maps function in a similar fashion. It's why players may disappear when you follow them as they are entering their own instance of that section of map.
Helltide spawns every 2 hour and 15 min. Regular helltide chests respawn/reset every 30 min on the 30/60 min mark. This gets confusing since the helltide itself spawns with a 15 min offset. So if the helltide starts at 2:15, then the normal chests will reset at 2:30 then the mystery chests AND regular chests will reset at 3:00. Mystery chests reset every hour on the hour.
Nick, you can reset a nm dungeon solo. Finish the first objective up to the boss, then use the leave dungeon emote, then tp to town. Wait about 2 minutes, enter to and then dungeon will be reset.
Raxxentrax did a video about Helltide where he started they respawn on top of the hour. That is my experience and I think the Helltide tracker also resets on top of the hour.
Tried the target farming nightmare dungeons a few days ago looking for tempest roar. Became very demoralized after getting another Vasily's Prayer. However, I did get Tempest Roar about 3 runs later. Two back to back helmets makes me feel like it really does work
if i was farming solo, would you recommend doing semi lower tiers like mid 35s that i can finish super fast rather than doing 50+ dungeons that take a bit more time to complete?
I wish the Helltide expiration would be stalled or something when you're in the middle of opening a helltide chest. Missing it by a second or 2 is so cruel

YUUUUP! hit 100 today and still farming TR. I'm convinced its in the UBER uniques category LOL. As for Helltide chests, I have yet to open a helm chest that doesn't give yellows or sacred legendries...
I know this video is a few weeks old and I think the latest patch is more recent, but when I try for the boot chests in helltide I never even get any legendaries... so it feels like a massive waste of time. Am I just unlucky or were the piece-specific helltide chests nerfed to the point of uselessness?
What's the difference in drop rates from normal to nightmare dungeons? Can I farm for uniques in normals? I want (NEED) to farm blind burrows but almost never get the sigil :(
I just got into Torment as a lvl 60 but I’m not finding ANY ancestral uniques from Helltides or anywhere else when I was finding them all the time in tier 3… do you have to be a certain level to have ancestral uniques drop?
I have gotten from lv 80 to 90 on druid target farming for Temerity. I did a few helltides today to try and target farm and have gotten only 1 unique from the helltide chests, I probably opened about 20 or so. I have gotten 2 or 3 of the trash druid pants but all I want is Temerity just to try them out I have tons of the other uniques and its starting to get really irritating because as far as I know Temerity SHOULDN'T be that hard to get.

From what ive seen i believe its 15 mins after top of the hour so for example helltide starts at 3:30 pm at 4:15pm the chest will change locations. Or it does seem top of the hour ill try and pay attention next few i do
It would seem to be my fate to find unique items for every class but the one I am playing. I'm running a Barbarian with Hammer of the gods build. I have found 4 or 5 uniques so far and none of them work with the Bararian let alone this build. Anyway, in case you are tracking where they drop. This one (Penitent Greaves: Sacred Unique Boots, 710 item pwr.) was found in the reward chest for the Swarmed Mineshift (marks on the world map as a laptop looking icon) in The Dark Dross (Lv. 70) part of the Blightmarch in Hawezar.
When resetting a nm dungeon by transferring party leader and leaving at the end, does the party leader need to stand at the entrance of the dungeon or can they also kill mobs?

They literally removed them from the game until today for a hot fix. It says it when you logged in to the game. You should have read the screen, you wasted a bunch of time.
The screen said Uber uniques were taken out and that normal uniques were still available in game. Don’t feel bad it’s just rng but they definitely still drop and are in the game.
I’ve been waiting for temerity for so long, I think I can’t replace my pants now which rolled high defense stats 😂. Maybe ill give it a try once I get one though
It’s really stupid that people have hit lvl 100 and haven’t found their uniques for their build. This should never ever happen again when it comes to seasons.
I dunno, a lot of people spammed a select few very specific dungeons that were deemed most efficient at the time, and if specific monster types have the best chances to drop specific item types, I could totally see that being a result. But at the same time, since the system is so unnecessarily mysterious and very little actually confirmed...we may never know why/how much of anything interacts

So they just effectively nerfed target farming uniques it seems. Allowing all uniques to drop from any chest just compounds rng again. Removing player agency in the farming process. Im not a fan of this change at all.
Removing player agency while farming is something every loot based community complains about and always request targeted farming. So, Blizzard decided that it was a bad thing, for some reason. Which means they're completely blind to what's been going on in the genre (outside of surface level things like what they've stolen from PoE) or they just DGAF if you enjoy the game or not. But, they also still want you to keep playing. So, good luck with that😆. They have this idea that "we dont want people replaying the same thing over and over", but they're not giving people a reason to play everything. They're just removing the reasons why people play the 1 thing
@@keithball2022 to be fair, I also farmed for it from level 80-100, several weekends of target farming repetitive dungeons. I think I’m up to 20 Visilys… got 5 in one day. Still don’t have it, I’m not convinced it exists
I was able to get the non mystery helltide chests to change type/location by just logging out, toggling crossplay, logging back in. Seems to change the chest every time. And no cinders lost.
Not sure if this is common knowledge, but there's an elite boss mob I've seen twice today in hell tides and it was tough to kill. I'm a level 67 bone spear Necro hitting for around 110-175k regularly, and this thing took 3-4 min to kill. After it died, had to do it solo, two of the same unique 2 handers dropped and were basically the same item except an essence hit modifier. Can't remember the name of the weapon, but it added chill to all shadow and minion hits 100% of the time. Seems pretty good for a future build, but dropping two uniques seemed strange. Not sure if this helps anyone, but this jumping fly elite looks like something to seek out in hell tides.
Preach! Been farming Tempest Roar for 2 weeks now... Non stop dungeons with Canibals and Cultists. Started farming Helltides again after the mess they did. Haven't seen one drop to me, but I already had 4 drops of the Pulverize build. Also, whilst boosting a mate of mine, on his druid, he got his tempest roar after like 7 runs of NM... I'm getting really pissed at this. Also it's a bit idiotic that for a build to work, you need that one specific item - I mean I get Uber Uniques, they break builds in a good way, but you don't "need" them per say, but tempest roar is really getting on my nerves...
I even created a new Druid yesterday and a mate of mine boosted that char on NM dungeons, and I got the other head 2 more times, along with like 5 more uniques that don't matter =(

@@JunkBondTrader My dude, there are quite a few builds, you're right, BUT, give me one build that can do high end content - meaning High NM keys up to and including 100 AND/OR kill Uber Lilith, that doesn't use that unique. I'll wait here =)
He doesn’t need to leave party. Once you press decline, he swaps the party lead back to original host and both people can kill the boss and get glyph xp. Then original host drops group and they rejoin on him. I’ve been doing 55 NM Burrows for days like this and everyone gets the boss and glyph xp.
@@WestWrestling06 he declines then re promotes the original host as party leader. Then both kill the boss and upgrade glyphs and host leaves. It resets and everyone keeps loot and exp.
unless they posted somewhere else...on the client it says "Uber Uniques" (meaning the 6 uber rare drops) are disabled from dropping in game while they address an issue with helltide chest drops.
Can anyone confirm that unique rings are dropping from the helltide ring chests? I'm looking for Ring of Mendeln and have probably opened about 50 of those ring specific chests and haven't seen a single unique at all yet.
I don’t know what’s going on with my D4 but every time that a unique drops from a chest it goes in my inventory as a legendary and I’m not sure why I might be missing some news or something if anyone has any ideas why this is happening then helping me get my uniques back would be awesome.
I picked up about 4 frostburns and the other gloves... then suddenly FoF started dropping for me like crazy. Well, not crazy but I got a few over about a week.

I find only mystery chest change location at exactly on the hour. So if helltide starts at 7:30, you can get 4 mystery chests. Most unique are terrible right now, nothing useful, better with rarest and imprint aspects. Only the Uber unique are worthwhile and of course dev has to make it impossible to get.
@kshadyij I see. I play barb right now and has gotten 7 different uniques but not Termerity, Shako, and Grandfather. Of All those 7 unique except Mother's ring are useless.
Chests have never reset on me except for top of the hour. I actually set farming routes based off that. Not saying it wasn't incredible coincidence on my part but as far as I've ever seen the chests only reset at the top of the hour.
Didnt find a black river until i hit 100. And then got 2 in the same dungeon. On a slightly different subject, i feel like the game specifically drops stuff that is not relevant to the current build you are running. IE items with blood skill and shadow damage when im running bone.
Dude I had the exact same thoughts lmfao, I play minions for abit with the ring and I get only blood related aspects on legendaries and damage on gear. I swap to bone spear and now I only get minion items. 🤣 The game absolutely hates me.
I must be having really bad luck with Helltides. I did one last night and 3 out of 5 chests just dropped gold and health potions. I'd give up on them altogether if I didn't need the mats for enchanting.
HOW TO RESET NIGHTMARE DUNGEON (USED IT FOR CLOSE TO 100s runs Blind Burrows) You can start the farm even if the reset hasn't been done. STEPS HOW TO RESET: 1. ONCE INSIDE THE DUNGEON party leader will pass the lead to another member and he/she SHOULD ACCEPT. 2. NEW party lead will pass lead to old party leader and he/she SHOULD DECLINE. 3. Complete the dungeon. 4. Once boss is dead. Party lead SHOULD right click his/her picture and then leave. 5. REPEAT once inside the dungeon. And YES it will work for all nightmare dungeons. Thank me later.
I just learnt this 24hrs ago and my xp gain has been incredible! Was doing a tier 50 bb with magic find and easy mods! And yes I know magic find has been removed but we still have it.
I was target farming my Tempest Roar from 62 to 81 untill it randomly drop from a elite in Kor Valar LV 42 Nightmare dungeon. So that said target farming is not so efficient. Keep farming ND you will eventually get your unique if RNG allows it :)
To be frank, out of the ten or so Uniques I harvested, only three were even marginally better than what I was using. I've had two "Windforces", one level 60 and one 79 and neither of them came anywhere close to the bows I was using at the time. That plus the fact you can't change anything on them apart from upgrading them and adding sockets, means you are stuck with the Affixes and the Aspects that you were given even if they have nothing to do with your build. TLDL is I have no interest in Uniques, which is a shame as previous iterations of Diablo had a great range of Uniques, e.g. Kings Sword of Haste!

why would they remove them? It's blizzards fault, not theres. Them having an uber unique doesnt affect your experience in any way. It'd be outrageous if they removed them.
you overcomplicate the dungeon reset. so long as the dungeon isnt locked behind a stronghold it doesnt matter if you hit accept or decline. you swap lead before dungeon completion. then lead leaves after glyph xp and everyone joins on the lead. super simple. no need for rotation. not complicated.
very good video though resetting dungeons requires so much work by leaving, rejoining, leaving, rejoining etc :/ oh and btw i have also got like 50 of each of the unique chest pieces and always get the vasily's headpiece, but not the tempest roar...
I haven't had a unique drop in 8 days and I might delete the game... I spend 12+hr a day and I'm so close from deleting the game.... I've grinded helltide.... nightmare dungeons.... bosses.... events etc. And nothing but legendarys to rarely drop also -_-
Yea, this shit is just stupid AF at this point. Not only can you not target farm, something that almost all loot based RPG communities request, but you are softcapped for 10s of hours because of the ridiculously low drop rates of the next higher level gear. I get that it should be rare, but it shouldn't feel damn near impossible. Especially on like the Druid where damn near every build requires at least 1 outta the same 3 uniques to be viable past 65 to 70

The drop rates are really random... Played for like 2 hours, farming helltide and nightmare dungeons. 1 unique dropped. Im lvl 100 since a couple of days and still not a single pentinent drop.
I feel like druids are broken… I’ve been playing mine for about a week now I went 4 days straight roughly 6-10 hours each day with 0 and I mean 0 uniques I switch to my necro I get 0 decide to switch to my rouge and I get 3 in two dungeons so I’m like let me switch back maybe it’s changed… yet to get a unique since and it’s going on say 3 now
To be honest, I think it’s kind of messed up. If they let them keep them they’re going to be so far ahead of everyone else. Especially in PVP. I think the solution, for this would be to upped the drop rate from now until season one.
lol no. The solution isnt to bring everyone else up. Let them keep them, only 140 dropped. Out of millions of players. Makes zero difference to you. You will never even run into any of them. Honestly I think people are just jealous, and have a weird expectation to get every top level item.
the mystery chests are the only ones that respawn/rotate locations at the change of every hour (ie: once per helltide). all other normal chests are static for the helltide. Source: I pay attention to detail. Edit: (For the smooth brains) - talking LOCATIONS here.
Unique farming is so annoying. More often than not, Ive been getting just yellows and maybe a legendary from helltide. Im a pulverize druid looking to change to storm wolf, and Ive had like 2 Visilyas and 6 hunters zenith uniques drop but I've farmed WT4 cultist refuge nightmare a dozen times and not one wolf unique has dropped.

The Chest of Mysteries is actually the best way to get high tier gear due to it's drop rate comparatively to other chests.

pretty sure the uber uniques are less than 0.01%. A lot less. That actually would be attainable with enough time for most players.

So when doing helltides do you recommend just opening the regular chests rather than saving up for the mystery chests?
Raxxentrax did a video about Helltide where he started they respawn on top of the hour. That is my experience and I think the Helltide tracker also resets on top of the hour.
Tried the target farming nightmare dungeons a few days ago looking for tempest roar. Became very demoralized after getting another Vasily's Prayer. However, I did get Tempest Roar about 3 runs later. Two back to back helmets makes me feel like it really does work

If your one of the retards farming UA-cam spam dungeons you wont find it you need to do sigils. Now its helltides/ sigils

YUUUUP! hit 100 today and still farming TR. I'm convinced its in the UBER uniques category LOL. As for Helltide chests, I have yet to open a helm chest that doesn't give yellows or sacred legendries...

I know this video is a few weeks old and I think the latest patch is more recent, but when I try for the boot chests in helltide I never even get any legendaries... so it feels like a massive waste of time. Am I just unlucky or were the piece-specific helltide chests nerfed to the point of uselessness?

I just got into Torment as a lvl 60 but I’m not finding ANY ancestral uniques from Helltides or anywhere else when I was finding them all the time in tier 3… do you have to be a certain level to have ancestral uniques drop?
I have gotten from lv 80 to 90 on druid target farming for Temerity. I did a few helltides today to try and target farm and have gotten only 1 unique from the helltide chests, I probably opened about 20 or so. I have gotten 2 or 3 of the trash druid pants but all I want is Temerity just to try them out I have tons of the other uniques and its starting to get really irritating because as far as I know Temerity SHOULDN'T be that hard to get.

From what ive seen i believe its 15 mins after top of the hour so for example helltide starts at 3:30 pm at 4:15pm the chest will change locations. Or it does seem top of the hour ill try and pay attention next few i do
It would seem to be my fate to find unique items for every class but the one I am playing. I'm running a Barbarian with Hammer of the gods build. I have found 4 or 5 uniques so far and none of them work with the Bararian let alone this build.
Anyway, in case you are tracking where they drop. This one (Penitent Greaves: Sacred Unique Boots, 710 item pwr.) was found in the reward chest for the Swarmed Mineshift (marks on the world map as a laptop looking icon) in The Dark Dross (Lv. 70) part of the Blightmarch in Hawezar.
When resetting a nm dungeon by transferring party leader and leaving at the end, does the party leader need to stand at the entrance of the dungeon or can they also kill mobs?

you need to find aspects in items, or some of them can be rewarded completing non nightmare dungeons.
Farmed 20 chests today. Zero unique drops. I think they removed all unique drops from the chests.
They literally removed them from the game until today for a hot fix. It says it when you logged in to the game. You should have read the screen, you wasted a bunch of time.
This don’t work anymore , just release a hot fix that removes target farm. Duh
The screen said Uber uniques were taken out and that normal uniques were still available in game. Don’t feel bad it’s just rng but they definitely still drop and are in the game.

I dunno, a lot of people spammed a select few very specific dungeons that were deemed most efficient at the time, and if specific monster types have the best chances to drop specific item types, I could totally see that being a result. But at the same time, since the system is so unnecessarily mysterious and very little actually confirmed...we may never know why/how much of anything interacts

So they just effectively nerfed target farming uniques it seems. Allowing all uniques to drop from any chest just compounds rng again. Removing player agency in the farming process. Im not a fan of this change at all.
Removing player agency while farming is something every loot based community complains about and always request targeted farming.
So, Blizzard decided that it was a bad thing, for some reason. Which means they're completely blind to what's been going on in the genre (outside of surface level things like what they've stolen from PoE) or they just DGAF if you enjoy the game or not.
But, they also still want you to keep playing. So, good luck with that😆.
They have this idea that "we dont want people replaying the same thing over and over", but they're not giving people a reason to play everything. They're just removing the reasons why people play the 1 thing

@@keithball2022 to be fair, I also farmed for it from level 80-100, several weekends of target farming repetitive dungeons. I think I’m up to 20 Visilys… got 5 in one day. Still don’t have it, I’m not convinced it exists
I was able to get the non mystery helltide chests to change type/location by just logging out, toggling crossplay, logging back in.
Seems to change the chest every time. And no cinders lost.
Not sure if this is common knowledge, but there's an elite boss mob I've seen twice today in hell tides and it was tough to kill. I'm a level 67 bone spear Necro hitting for around 110-175k regularly, and this thing took 3-4 min to kill. After it died, had to do it solo, two of the same unique 2 handers dropped and were basically the same item except an essence hit modifier. Can't remember the name of the weapon, but it added chill to all shadow and minion hits 100% of the time. Seems pretty good for a future build, but dropping two uniques seemed strange. Not sure if this helps anyone, but this jumping fly elite looks like something to seek out in hell tides.
Preach! Been farming Tempest Roar for 2 weeks now... Non stop dungeons with Canibals and Cultists. Started farming Helltides again after the mess they did. Haven't seen one drop to me, but I already had 4 drops of the Pulverize build. Also, whilst boosting a mate of mine, on his druid, he got his tempest roar after like 7 runs of NM... I'm getting really pissed at this. Also it's a bit idiotic that for a build to work, you need that one specific item - I mean I get Uber Uniques, they break builds in a good way, but you don't "need" them per say, but tempest roar is really getting on my nerves...
I even created a new Druid yesterday and a mate of mine boosted that char on NM dungeons, and I got the other head 2 more times, along with like 5 more uniques that don't matter =(

@@JunkBondTrader My dude, there are quite a few builds, you're right, BUT, give me one build that can do high end content - meaning High NM keys up to and including 100 AND/OR kill Uber Lilith, that doesn't use that unique. I'll wait here =)
He doesn’t need to leave party.
Once you press decline, he swaps the party lead back to original host and both people can kill the boss and get glyph xp. Then original host drops group and they rejoin on him.
I’ve been doing 55 NM Burrows for days like this and everyone gets the boss and glyph xp.

If he declines the promotion then how does he become the party leader to swap the lead back? Please explain how you are doing it step by step.
@@WestWrestling06 he declines then re promotes the original host as party leader. Then both kill the boss and upgrade glyphs and host leaves. It resets and everyone keeps loot and exp.

unless they posted somewhere else...on the client it says "Uber Uniques" (meaning the 6 uber rare drops) are disabled from dropping in game while they address an issue with helltide chest drops.

drop rates seemed to have been nerfed again. i did 6 helltides with zero uniques

I don’t know what’s going on with my D4 but every time that a unique drops from a chest it goes in my inventory as a legendary and I’m not sure why I might be missing some news or something if anyone has any ideas why this is happening then helping me get my uniques back would be awesome.
Never got fists of fate for my sorc I have dropped more than a dozen of the other gloves but no FoF.
I picked up about 4 frostburns and the other gloves... then suddenly FoF started dropping for me like crazy. Well, not crazy but I got a few over about a week.
So, we can obtain uniques via helltides?

Helltide Chests will now have the chance to drop any Unique and not be restricted to specific item slot limitations from any chest.
Developer Note: With the above change players will now be able to find Unique items from ALL Helltide Chests. Uber Unique items also have a chance to be found from all chests.
You could always find uniques in the baleful chests in pvp zones. 30 chests around the map with instant rotating respawn timer.

I find only mystery chest change location at exactly on the hour. So if helltide starts at 7:30, you can get 4 mystery chests. Most unique are terrible right now, nothing useful, better with rarest and imprint aspects. Only the Uber unique are worthwhile and of course dev has to make it impossible to get.
not if youre a druid tho. all the endgame builds for druid are based on at least 1 if not 2 uniques
@kshadyij I see. I play barb right now and has gotten 7 different uniques but not Termerity, Shako, and Grandfather. Of All those 7 unique except Mother's ring are useless.
Chests have never reset on me except for top of the hour. I actually set farming routes based off that. Not saying it wasn't incredible coincidence on my part but as far as I've ever seen the chests only reset at the top of the hour.
Didnt find a black river until i hit 100. And then got 2 in the same dungeon. On a slightly different subject, i feel like the game specifically drops stuff that is not relevant to the current build you are running. IE items with blood skill and shadow damage when im running bone.
Dude I had the exact same thoughts lmfao, I play minions for abit with the ring and I get only blood related aspects on legendaries and damage on gear. I swap to bone spear and now I only get minion items. 🤣 The game absolutely hates me.

I must be having really bad luck with Helltides. I did one last night and 3 out of 5 chests just dropped gold and health potions. I'd give up on them altogether if I didn't need the mats for enchanting.
HOW TO RESET NIGHTMARE DUNGEON (USED IT FOR CLOSE TO 100s runs Blind Burrows)
You can start the farm even if the reset hasn't been done.
STEPS HOW TO RESET:
1. ONCE INSIDE THE DUNGEON party leader will pass the lead to another member and he/she SHOULD ACCEPT.
2. NEW party lead will pass lead to old party leader and he/she SHOULD DECLINE.
3. Complete the dungeon.
4. Once boss is dead. Party lead SHOULD right click his/her picture and then leave.
5. REPEAT once inside the dungeon.
And YES it will work for all nightmare dungeons. Thank me later.
I just learnt this 24hrs ago and my xp gain has been incredible! Was doing a tier 50 bb with magic find and easy mods! And yes I know magic find has been removed but we still have it.
I was target farming my Tempest Roar from 62 to 81 untill it randomly drop from a elite in Kor Valar LV 42 Nightmare dungeon. So that said target farming is not so efficient. Keep farming ND you will eventually get your unique if RNG allows it :)
To be frank, out of the ten or so Uniques I harvested, only three were even marginally better than what I was using. I've had two "Windforces", one level 60 and one 79 and neither of them came anywhere close to the bows I was using at the time. That plus the fact you can't change anything on them apart from upgrading them and adding sockets, means you are stuck with the Affixes and the Aspects that you were given even if they have nothing to do with your build. TLDL is I have no interest in Uniques, which is a shame as previous iterations of Diablo had a great range of Uniques, e.g. Kings Sword of Haste!

why would they remove them? It's blizzards fault, not theres. Them having an uber unique doesnt affect your experience in any way. It'd be outrageous if they removed them.

Haven't gotten a single unique from helltides, was only opening the 175 cinders chests.
Helltide refreshes at the top of the hour unless helltide started at the top of the hour then there will not be a refresh.
I got all my uniques from Helltide Events. Just the events and one from Mystery Chest.
you overcomplicate the dungeon reset. so long as the dungeon isnt locked behind a stronghold it doesnt matter if you hit accept or decline. you swap lead before dungeon completion. then lead leaves after glyph xp and everyone joins on the lead. super simple. no need for rotation. not complicated.
The helltide chests reset on the hour every hour. Been farming them for a while.

You can both complete the dungeon as long as you passed leader and decline beforehand.

Helltide chest reset on the hour thus meaning you can get 4 mystery chests from the helltide that start 15 minutes past the hour.
I haven't had a unique drop in 8 days and I might delete the game... I spend 12+hr a day and I'm so close from deleting the game.... I've grinded helltide.... nightmare dungeons.... bosses.... events etc. And nothing but legendarys to rarely drop also -_-

Yea, this shit is just stupid AF at this point. Not only can you not target farm, something that almost all loot based RPG communities request, but you are softcapped for 10s of hours because of the ridiculously low drop rates of the next higher level gear.
I get that it should be rare, but it shouldn't feel damn near impossible. Especially on like the Druid where damn near every build requires at least 1 outta the same 3 uniques to be viable past 65 to 70

It's a shit system; this has been done over and over in plenty of modern aRPGS/looter shooters, and the community usually ask for the same thing in each one...
You want the best shit to be rare, then actually make it the best shit. Drop the items (still pretty rarely), but let them roll randomly, not fixed, with the highest stats
That way you can increase the drop rates (slightly), but still have people chasing BiS gear. Fixed rolls are only good if the rolls are BiS for that build. In D4, they're not. They're not even the best for the build they're made for. NOW THAT is ridiculous.
It's a shitty feeling to finally get a unique, only to throw that shit in the stash cause it's garbage compared to the legendary that you're running.
In the hot fix yesterday they made it so specific chests don’t drop that unique. Just any unique so better off going for the mystery chest

The drop rates are really random... Played for like 2 hours, farming helltide and nightmare dungeons. 1 unique dropped.

I feel like druids are broken… I’ve been playing mine for about a week now I went 4 days straight roughly 6-10 hours each day with 0 and I mean 0 uniques I switch to my necro I get 0 decide to switch to my rouge and I get 3 in two dungeons so I’m like let me switch back maybe it’s changed… yet to get a unique since and it’s going on say 3 now

On my Druid I've gotten 5 Frostburn (Unique Gloves). completely useless for Druid.
To be honest, I think it’s kind of messed up. If they let them keep them they’re going to be so far ahead of everyone else. Especially in PVP. I think the solution, for this would be to upped the drop rate from now until season one.

lol no. The solution isnt to bring everyone else up. Let them keep them, only 140 dropped. Out of millions of players. Makes zero difference to you. You will never even run into any of them. Honestly I think people are just jealous, and have a weird expectation to get every top level item.

In todays hotfix they changed it so that you cajt target farm uniques. All helltide chests can drop any unique, regardless of the type of chest it is.

the mystery chests are the only ones that respawn/rotate locations at the change of every hour (ie: once per helltide). all other normal chests are static for the helltide. Source: I pay attention to detail.

Unique farming is so annoying. More often than not, Ive been getting just yellows and maybe a legendary from helltide. Im a pulverize druid looking to change to storm wolf, and Ive had like 2 Visilyas and 6 hunters zenith uniques drop but I've farmed WT4 cultist refuge nightmare a dozen times and not one wolf unique has dropped.
