Looks great. Another alternate for this recipe is spreading your favorite tomato or marina sauce on the bottom of the pan, then laying the chicken breasts on top.
Only suggestion I'd have is to put the cheese into a bowl before stuffing the chicken, no one likes cross contamination. Just hope u n the fam doesn't get sick from using the cheese on a later date. I know u probably won't read this but just had to throw in my two cents

You should use one of those oven digital thermometers where the probe has a wire out of the oven to the thermometer unit and meats come out perfect everytime after searing and finishing in the oven to your perfect temperature. No guesswork.

I just made this its in the oven but i added xvirgin olive oil on top before adding the spices and s and p, and i used garlic salt. Will report back as to how it was. No one else did this so stay tuned.
Just a thought, I heard once to use separate plastic cutting boards for poultry and meat because the grain on wood cutting boards can absorb the juice and contaminate future items even if washed thoroughly. Not sure how much truth there is too that but I'm always weary of salmonella.

Syndi Ngo I bought them, but just pop then in the oven, wait for them to shrivel and some dark spots. let them cool and peel off the skin with fingers. Done. Very delicious

Plus if you had your hand that had chicken on it in inside the bag and then sprinkled that cheese on top of cooked chicken. It all scares me because I'm very careful when it comes to working with poultry. We may have not seen everything you did to not contaminate, or cross contaminate, but it still worries me. Kelly Carpenter used the bag cheese and used all that I had in that dinner. If not, i would have tossed it and not kept the rest, but that wasn't the case.

That looks awesome and the idea of adding some marinara under the cheese on top sounds like a good addition.

Looks great! I made this the other day and it was so tasty. Just a tip, use cocktail sticks to keep the chicken pocket from opening.
Tip: Season the pan before putting in the chicken, so you'll have both sides seasoned.

Not a criticism. ..just curious why you wouldn't season the inside and both sides of the chicken?....
I think the 0nly thing I would have done differently would be to sauce the top 0f the chicken before putting the cheese. Then broiling.

i do my asparagus the same way but sprinkle balsamic on them at the end.
