It always makes me so sad when Charles is dying and Logan says “ it wasn’t me it wasn’t me”
Bro, he's so old and tired, he never wanted to hurt anyone with his powers, human or mutant
I still fell my heart crushing everytime he says "I'm Sorry, I'm so so sorry" to the people he paralyzed
There are a lot of moments in Logan that get to me, emotionally. 'It wasn't me' was probably the hardest gut punch in the movie, for me. The idea that Charles might die believing Logan has killed him is just so heart wrenching.
@@jamesoblivion it drops even heavier when Logan is burying Charles a step along the road. Charles deserved a great burial with all honors and the embrace of peace for eternity with everything he could have dreamed of and all Logan could do to top that off was the saddiest line of them all: "It's got water... it's got water"
As a hardcore fan of Laura Kinney in the comics, I cannot praise Dafne Keen enough for her portrayal of Laura!!! She was phenomenal!! Absolutely nailed the deadly ferocity and intensity
Same girl Same!!!❤️🤩
I was good until she said “Daddy?” i cried like a baby😭
Yep same here. That got me.
For me it's the "so this is what it feels like"😢 He just been waiting for death for so long....
I may have cried more at this movie than anything else
how about the marry go episode? ⛵
Same 😭
Try a full watch yourself of "Nimona" then ;)
Or... Miracle in Cell No. 7 (I saw the Korean version of that one FYI).
@@sathvamp1 I doubt an animated movie would be more sad than Logan. But if I’m wrong, I’ll admit, you cooked.
@@davidxavier6791 Some animated movies might really surprise you. In fact since I last wrote that comment, I saw "Grave of the Fireflies" - if you've never heard of that one, you might be interested to check that one out especially if you might need convincing ;)
"SHE'S A MINI WOLVERINE!" It is really entertaining and actually super refreshing that they didn't know like anything going into this movie, especially about Laura being X-23 and what that even means. 😂
Same with me! I had no idea Laura was in this film and when the blades came out, I went fucking bananas.
I'm sure someone said this, but just in case they didn't, Laura's punch was not scripted. Took ol Hugh and crew by surprise.
Also remember Charles had been in communication with Laura for awhile and no one believed her. So their connection is probably deeper than we know.
Dude they weren't shouting to each other. Logan was going into his last berserker rage. That scream gave me massive chills when I first saw this.
What a way to build hype for Hugh Jackman's return in Deadpool 3!!!
Everybody gangsta until Laura says "Daddy"
There was supposed to be an X-23 (Laura) spinoff by the same director, but a lot of complications like last phoenix failure and Disney/marvel buying the right back were practically the nail in the coffin for any hope to see Dafnee Keen back into the role.
idk it be mistake not to bring her back i think we could see her again later as a female wolverine variant
I don't think we're done with her if we don't want to be, mutants in the marvel verse aren't necessarily running on the same timeline, if they want to use Dafnee for that she's basically at the perfect age for a more comic origin x-23. She's like 17-18 now I think which is about where she's introduced comics-wise and she was fantastic at the role, can't imagine she's become a worse actor in the time since.
@@CursedHatter I mean, if she is introduced after the Mutants come into the MCU, Dafne is actually going to be around the age of Laura in comics.
Damn that sucks to hear :(
It's rumoured that we'll see her in D&W but at this point, who hasn't been rumoured to cameo? Still, fingers crossed.
Before the world cried for IRON MAN
We cried for WOLVERINE
I love the Variety on this Channel lately
Shit man, this movie always hits hard and seeing it in theaters was an experience and a half. It’s just so different from the other films and was a sad but amazingly done send off of the X-men franchise as it was before Marvel.
"So this is what it feels like..."
Three hundred years of being a weapon. People can interpret it how they want but at the end of the day, he was talking about peace. What peace feels like.
Logan never had a "fun" life...he knows true pain.
Of all reaction i expected from this channel this is very unexpected
Only saw this movie once and I'm glad Im sobbing again lol, that little Wolverine girl was great
Has anybody told them about how Yukio described Logan’s death??
“With your heart in your hands”
EVERYONE cries at the end of this movie. It was gut renching
You can feel the pain in that scene, even in what Charles was going through
Even after watching this movie so much it still manages to make me tear up
Speaking of watching a movie "so much but..."...
That reminds me of how I (until a couple of weeks ago) NEVER cried to a RE-watch of ANYthing. But THEN, I watched Nimona (a couple of times plus reactions, plus reading and writing comments), and THAT one got me (sometimes intensely) a total of 11 times (TOTALLY unheard of for me!)
I remember going to the theater with my dad to watch this. It was sad, but it's a great memory.
Seeing as how you asked: Rictor is the mutant boy that raised and dropped the truck on X24. His name is Rictor as in Rictor Scale --- the scale geologists use to measure earthquakes. He is the child (clone) of a Greek Xmen name Rictor who they killed off rather quickly because he was too over-powered. He was basicaly an Earth-Bender. Rictor II (in this movie) is actually the Grandchild of a super-villian named Avalanche --- who got buried in a LandSlide ---- they brought him back to life but has been very under-utilized in the Xmen universe.
I've always felt characters like Wolverine and Professor X as more realistic characters than Iron Man or Thor...
Thor aside, because his whole deal is that his comics are like reading nord mythos, Iron Man comics can get really, uncomfortably realistic.
There's a storyline way back, like late 70s, called "Demon in a Bottle" that is about him dealing with his serious alcoholism issues.
That doesn't really make sense but ok
I think iron mans is pretty realistic, he’s a smart man but he’s not perfect. I think his story line is pretty good
Dude, there are so many unrealistic and weird people in real life, I don't think you need to compare characters with characters, honestly I met a lot of people and they're definitely weirder than comic book characters 😅
I think it's all up to how writers portray them.
Yo Ruff, just to let you know they do sell comics collected in book form (think tankobans). They're called "Trades" or "Trade Paperbacks".
Comics that had the pages glued to a spine rather than folded and stapled used to have another name too, did they not? It's been so long that I can't remember what it was, though it's on the tip of my tongue.
Edit: and as soon as I post, I remember, they were called graphic novels.
One of my favorite movies of all time. The western vibe, Logan's aging self, Laura, Charles and Logan having a family dinner, the action and themes. It has such unique details in it.
Great reaction! This movie was so well written and such a great way to send off Hugh Jackmans Wolverine.
Great movie and great reaction; I too would love to see Dafnee Keen reprise her role.
Thanks for the video.
As a Harcore Wolverine fan to put it simply Logan is Immortal to a certain degree. He's lived for hundreds of years through both world wars and such. Now he was given adamantium to his bone structure, which, with his healing capabilities, quite literally made him immortal except for shooting him in the head with adamantium bullets. But he lost his memory at that time. So he can heal rapidly and be brought down but can't be killed until this movie came out.
Technically not even then he can be killed, he has been seen regenerating on the coffin after being buried in the comics lmao
The setting of an older Logan bitter and "decaying" + the rest of the Xmen being dead is based on the Old man Logan comic. It's a what if scenario in which Logan killed the other Xmen while under the effect of an illusion. He saw them as villains invading their place (That's where the similarities end cause that story goes into a whole different tangent). In this movie however, the death of the others was caused by Xavier who can no longer control his powers properly due to his brain state. Probably alzheimer or something like that.
I cried too in that ending, and this is a old man logan and i think this is a stand alone movie and "last wolverine" of hugh jackman before deadpool 3 came out
In the movie "Wolverine" where he goes to Japan one of the characters has a power to see the future and she said to logan that she sees him lying dead on the ground with his heart in his hand. And here we see him dead on the ground holding his heart aka laura by the hand
I'm not crying you are 😭😭😭😭😭😭
reminder logan is like 200 some years old i think if not older
the adamantium is killing him always was issue is he's old af now
Wolverine has regenerative healing factor, that means he can heal of literally any injury, including gunshots, cuts, severe organ damage, and even surviving decapitation
That also means his cells constantly regenerate from the damage caused by the buildup of aging toxins, which means he doesn't age, he also has an extra set of bones and muscles in his forearms that stick out in claws when ever he wants
When he was about 100 years old, he participated in a project that injected a supposedly indestructible metal called Adamantium into his body, because he managed to regenerate himself, he is the only one capable of surviving this process
When the process was over, all the bones in his body were covered in Adamantium, including his claws, which means his skeleton is basically Indestructible and his claws are capable of cutting through anything, this combined with his superhuman instincts and senses as well as his healing factor have made him a tireless killing machine
But the thing about Adamantium (which is one of the points explored by the movie) is that it releases small amounts of a toxin when in contact with human flesh, this toxin slows down his healing ability, initially for the first hundred years he seemed to be doing fine, but the movie made it clear that over time he was getting slower, older and weaker, preventing him from healing from excessively serious injuries. What once took a few seconds now took hours to heal, which eventually resulted in his death
Laura otherwise (also known as X-23 in comics) it's like an female clone of Wolverine
She basically has all his powers, but instead of three claws on each arm she has two and one on each foot, she also has an slightly higher level of superhuman agility and underwent a process similar to that of her "father", but instead of injecting Adamantium on her body, they took all of her claws out surgically, dipped in Adamantium and put back
I'm in college now but I saw this movie for the first time with my crush in 7th or 8th grade, brings back some memories :')
Logan has lived about 200 years and has fought with Captain America in WW2 in the comics
Comic Geek input: Logan currently has five kids he knows of in canon, two of whom are some degree of clones (Laura, AKA X-23, AKA Wolverine, who's basically his genetically engineered daughter, and Gabby, AKA Honey Badger, AKA Scout, who is a clone of Laura), one of whom he got the old fashioned way (Akihiro AKA Daken AKA Fang), and two of whom he got the old fashioned way, but in a different timeline/reality (Reine du Rien, it's complicated, and Jimmy Hudson Jr, also complicated) who have been displaced into the main Marvel universe
Two adults crying. Only kids pretend nothing gets to them. Loved your reaction.
Masterpiece of a film
can you guys make a list of what marvel/dc movies you guys have seen that way we can recommend some movies you haven't watch
Very unexpected reaction, but this is nice.
This movie was so intense in the theater and after release on blu-ray i watched the Noir version of it.
I love to cry with you gentlemen. Thanks for share this with us
In the old man Logan comic Logan was hypnotized by Mysterio and killed all the x-men thinking they were villains.
1:03:56 “I see you on your back, there’s blood everywhere. You’re holding your own heart in your hand.”
The death of The Wolverine…most tears I’ve ever shed in a theater.
Subtitles: It's 2029
The Boys 2 minutes later: "Is this supposed to be 2024?"
Hands down one of the best 🙌🏻
the reason this movie was able to be rated R was because of how successful Deadpool was.
Great reaction. This movie smacks you in the feels. One of the greatest superhero movies ever made.
Awesome reaction boys! New subscriber
I need them to react to the X-Men first Class Movie its Extremely underrated
First Class and Day Future Past was my favorite X-Men movie
Man this movie was a straight masterpiece and the old man logan comic I think this is based off of a little had way worse stuff
They *do* sell comics in books. They're called trade paperbacks (TPBs) and are generally either collections of particular storylines or collections of particular writers' runs on a comic (often times both, with each volume covering a storyline during that writer's run, but with big crossover events you'll get the full story crossing between various books and writers).
Oh my FUCKING God Ruff's face during Logan's death scene and leading back and being like NOPE when she said Daddy. 😭 Also Ruff being a dad probably what was also going on in his head was what if this was me.
I cried like a baby after this in theaters. wolverine was my LIFE of the x men growing up
Thankfully this takes place in another timeline. They mentioned earlier that it's 2029
Such an amazing movie
For Ruff: There is actually books of comics! They’re called “trade paperbacks”, and they typically collect 4-12 issues of comics into one book. There’s also hardcovers. The most coveted and beloved type are Omnibuses, which usually collect 30-50 issues into one ginormous hardcover.
I have literally never seen a wolverine or X-Men movie and I've never read the comics but this was my favorite movie when it came out.
this is a play on old man logan where it was xavier that killed the x-men it was wolverine (because of a villain tricking him )
Logan is nearly 200 years old in this movie.
If you want dark Marvel stuff, you guys can watch the Daredevil series. The first season of Jessica Jones is also pretty good, but I haven't watched the rest yet, so I won't recommend the later seasons.
Yup, crying is par for the course. I know I am T.T
*I highly recommend watching the How it Should Have Ended vid for Logan, from the HISHE channel.*
Frankly, for me it was the best they ever made in, what, the more than 10 years they've been around?! It's amazing :D
Marvel started messing up when they really started making these movies for teens og marvel was frl the best cuz it was for the men that wanted to feel like teens again
Logan is close to 150 years old in this movie
A lot of comics do TPB after a run, so you can get them in graphic novel format in easy reading order, that's how I do it
Hello Eric 🙋♂️
Some friendly criticism, you guys did yourselves a disservice by watching Logan first before any of the other wolverine or X-Men movies. Your emotional reaction on this movie would be 100 times different. I recommend that you go back and watch all the other ones and then finish with this again in regards to anything wolverine related, because it is far more emotional than you can imagine. 😢
Yeah I did myself the same disservice lol. And yes I did kick myself :P
At least I learned to watch full movies before watching reactions (eventually lol)
I wanna recommend my favorite live action movie ever Train to Busan cause it’s a classic imo The best zombie flick It’s got that good action thriller stuff and also the father daughter emotional core that I think would eviscerate Ruff like he would not survive It is however in Korean which means subtitles but people gotta open up their horizons
Edit: i don’t mean like you have to do a reaction or anything I just want people to watch it cause I like it :) and I like it when Ruff cries lol :)
30:14 Ruff, maybe look into Omnibus’ they do it for comics where they shove a ton of comics, usually based around a character, team, or event, into one big hard cover book!
As a Logan whose father named me after his favourite comic book character this movie just hit different 😭
Nice 🎉
Growing up watching the Xmen saturday cartoons, I always dreamed of a proper Wolverine movie with the stabbing and slashing. The cartoons were great dont get me wrong but I had hoped to see it on the big screen. Took a few decades to get but well worth the wait. Even if it makes me sob every time.
Logan’s hyper regeneration is something he’s always had so basically he lived forever and when he got his metal claws it almost garenteed his immortality but this movie is just showing his old age
It’s also the adamantium poisoning him
Is that rimuru in the background it the beginning?
ts not Marvel as a whole. its the Fox studio . they just have a way with making marvel movies that Disney can never replicate
Deadpool & Logan exist because of 20th century Fox, Disney bought Fox so technically everything is a Marvel film but at the time they were very much playing on a different team which had more creative freedom
Yeah, X-24 was Wolverine in his prime. There are *very* few Marvel characters who could handle him at that point. You'd need someone Hulk or Thor level.
"He is such an asshole when he drinks!!!"
Lets be honest he is pretty much an asshole when sober too.
You guys need to see X-Men Days of Future Past. Its arguably the best superhero movie ever made. Logan is still the most raw, brutal and violent superhero movie. Thats not to tear down the movie
Days of future past as the best superhero movie? No. It's definitely top 10, No where close to #1
@@reaganmemes6510 To you. But that opening chase / action scene alone is more timeless than anything in the MCU. Trust me. I know the art of cinema very well
best marvel movie of all time
29:53 if only such a thing existed 😅
I highly recommend watching the Daredevil TV series,it's story telling is on the same lvl as LOGAN
Dafne the actress for Laura is 18 now wnd rumored to be in Deadpool aa X-23
this is a Pre Disney Marvel so Rated R really meant Rated R, not the baby Rated R of Disney just for F words
This is a old video so I doubt you guys will read this but: Wolverine is highly resistant to mental abilities because of both his incredible regeneration and his broken mind he gained from being experimented on by weapon-x (which is why he becomes to animalistic when he’s pushed past a certain threshold in a lot of media)
Please react to deadpool 2 as well. I think it would be great :)
Not sure if it's cannon in this movie but I know that scarlet witch killed like 90% of mutants
Donald Pierce and Dr. Zander Rice might be one of the most evil villains in all Marvel movies, treating kids like weapons and doesn't get any mercy when defeated and just die by a neck shot and one died by the very kids he treated so horribly.
This is just to get a better understanding in marvel for you guys especially with the whole Logan is back thing. Logan is by marvel yes but it is not MCU. MCU is marvel cinematic universe owned by Disney (ex: ironman, cap and tom Holland Spiderman). Wolverine and the x men were owned by Fox not disney so most of the x men movies were made in diff timeline and by the time marvel (Disney) acquired them back was 2019. So marvel has not known what to do so far to incorporate the x men yet and we have been waiting. So the wolverine that will be in the mcu is going to be a multiversal variant. This is the same for deadpool who was also in the X men timeline.
Fox not marvel, before the disney merge.
Also, yes, this movie came out the year following deadpool
I always remember what Yukio says in Wolverine's movie, when she predict his death: “I see you on your back, there's blood everywhere. You're holding your own heart in your hand. It's not beating.” And thats hit hard with that ending in Logan.
i just wish he didn't drop the f-bomb so much 9/10
Y'all should watch Daredevil. That's another pretty dark Marvel show
Wolverine has 3 children currently in the comics 1. Akihiro aka fang the oldest and then Laura btw she has half of Wolverine's dna the other half is Sarah Kinney's dna so technically Laura is his biological daughter and then you got gabby Kinney the youngest and funniest sibling she is a clone of Laura
If you want more Marvel stuff in this kind of tone you should get into the Netflix series They had out that were more dark so like Luke cage Daredevil and Jessica Jones
If y'all don't know Wolverine is over 200 years old(even when he wasn't old).
there will be another movie. actress will play the same character. the question is WHEN !
When she said Daddy........,
React to Deadpool if you haven't watched that as well!
