The one scene that messed me up was when Logan died. The emotion of that scene was really heavy to me and Laura calling Logan “daddy” made it worse.
IOkay iiioiillo kk iiliiii Iiiiiiliiiilliplilll P
I love Dafne’s portrayal of X-23 !!
When she calls Logan “daddy” as he’s dying freaking broke me in theaters and still does every time. 11 out of 10
Me too.
Fun Fact: Laura’s first appearance was in the “X-Men Evolution” TV series. Just like Harley Quinn, her debut was in a cartoon series rather than in a comic book. Her success led her into the comics. “X-Men Evolution” is a great show that you should definitely check out-very faithful to the comics and very story driven. It’d be cool if you reacted to it :)
I would be down to watch it too.
Me to.
X-23!!!😭
A long, painful life. 200 years of living and he has finally earned his rest and is a hero among heroes.
To let you know, Charles got the seizure illness and by accident, during this seizure he killed several of the x men at the mansion. So him realizing what he did was so sad :( Logan is definitely a masterpiece of the x men films
Edit: remember Yukio's prophecy in The Wolverine (2013), she said that logan would die, lying on his back, blood everywhere and holding his heart, Laura was his heart the whole time :(
Before the world cried for IRON MAN
We cried for WOLVERINE
"I see you on your back. There's blood everywhere. You're holding your heart in your hand."
What Yukio predicted in The Wolverine came true, Cody!
To answer your questions Cody, Logan has lived longer than anybody in the whole franchise so when he received his adimantim from the previous movies it allowed him to survive and live even longer but being exposed to the chemical for so long from his natural healing abilities mean it’s been poisoning him for a long time which is why he’s dying.
He can still age it just last longer but he’s slowly dying from the adimantim poisoning and at this stage of his life he’s looking to die because he’s lived so long as everyone he’s cared for has died before him
Mmm kinda. The incident at Westchester is mentioned. It was during one of Charle's outbursts that the other mutants were killed
Adamantium
Dude was born the year 1832, he is almost 200 years old.
There were toxins in some food and drinks to lower mutant strength as well. Some died from it.
This movie is one of the best in the x-men series... it's such a beautiful story. Hugh Jackman does such an amazing job and his acting definitely helps to give this character the goodbye he deserves.
I know people still want his character to return but honestly, I don't mind this being the end. He's been through so much and somehow, still got an ending that in a way has to be a happy one - at least for him.
I've cried my eyes out to this one so many times and probably will during this reaction too :') but it's worth it, Logan is worth uncontrollably sobbing on the floor
I would like to see how Mister Sinister would be shown here, given that Essex Corp refers to him.
I’d argue it’s the best
Very soulful and realistic work. In some way, it’s a pity that we won’t see Jackman in this role anymore (although everything can be), but on the other hand, his character has a completed path and the fact that Logan, at the end of his life, realized his position as an ordinary person. The result was a kind of mixture of Old Man Logan and TLOU. One of my favourite movie of 2017.
My favorite character is Laura aka X23. I was introduced to her from the X-men Evolution series back in the day and she became one of my favorite mutants. This movie confirmed why I like Laura a lot.
Omg yes!!! I thought I was the only few people who knew about her from the cartoon. Glad to her on the big screen but I hope when she’s in the MCU she’s a teenage like her comic version.
This movie broke me when I saw it in cinemas, Logan is such an emotional roller coaster and one of Marvel's best and sad movies of all time! Loved the reaction Cody and looking forward to the next one
Laura Kinney, aka X-23. In the comics she is the 23rd attempt made to clone Wolverine from a damaged sample of DNA, Dr. Sarah Kinney successfully made a clone as a female (thus the X, meaning the X chromosome). Laura canonically has two claws on her knuckles and one on her foot, both were bonded with Adamantium - rather than her whole skeleton like Logan, which makes her faster and quicker to heal - and was conditioned to be an assassin, including having a trigger scent which'd send her in a frenzy.
Interestingly, X-23 was not born from comics, like Harley Quinn she was created in a TV Show, X-Men Evolution, and the comics integrated her in canon, where she got super popular and even took the mantle of Wolverine - which Logan happily lets her share given they have a father/daughter bond.
The movie is mostly it's own beast, leaning into Western themes as well as the acclaimed dystopian Old Man Logan storyline, it was a bittersweet ending for Logan, Charles, and Hugh Jackman, and Dafne Keen was amazing as Laura too
Deadpool mentioned Wolverine in his movies. This movie is very good, a little bit rougher than Deadpool, but still good.
The reason Wolverine can’t heal or move fast is because he has aged very old. X-23 story in the comics was very shocking & how she was raised but at least her mom was teaching her morals as much as she could. From the X-men evolution cartoon to the big screen is amazing. I don’t mind them making her Hispanic cause I feel that it does fit her personality very well. I do love little Laura but teenage Laura is badass!!! I have a Kotobukiya figure of X-23 in Wolverine’s costume
What animal is Laura supposed to be? Logan is a wolverine but what is Laura?
It's less that he's so old, and more that his adamantium bones are poisoning him. His body has held the adamantium poisoning at bay since he got the procedure, but between that constant strain AND his extremely advanced age, it's becoming too much for his healing factor to sustain.
@@WhiteWolfDarkpaw wasnt in also something that The goverment did to prevent new mutants being born that also affected/reduced his healing ability?
@@elite_rock_god2292 the reason he’s so old is because his healing factor stopped working bc of the corn syrup that the government placed into food in order to negate the gene that allowed for mutants to be born. It’s also affected the powers of the mutants who already existed bc Days of future past takes place in 2023 and Logan’s healing factor was fine, but in the new timeline Logan takes place in 2029 and he’s really weak and old, wthe only difference being that in this timeline he was consuming that syrup which severely weakened his healing factor to the point that he starting getting older and the adamantium poisoning actually started to affect him.
Easily a top 5 movie of all time! The acting, the emotion, the dark tones all just make it perfect!
LOGAN >>> ENDGAME
I believe this is true in my opinion. Endgame has many plot contrivances for most of the movie and the final battle could've been easily resolved by modern technology. For example: An airstrike. Endgame certainly ended things perfectly for some characters in my opinion but it was blinded by hype while Logan is actually a well-made film
this marvel movie didn't even feel like a marvel movie and I think that's what makes this film so amazing
Goosebumps every time I hear that scream then he goes full beekeeper mode in the forest ❤️🔥 the scene that gets me is Logan constantly try to tell Charles it wasn’t him that stabbed him 😕
Logan should have won a ton of Oscars.
Wolverine is dying two reasons
1. His age, 200 years old
2. Adamantium poisoning, the stuff that Stryker put inside of him
That Logan dying still gets me everytime! But we all knew it had to come to an end. Hugh Jackman had been playing Wolverine for almost 20 years!
This was primarily adapted from the "Old Man Logan" comics. His healing factor has been primarily affected by his advanced age and prolonged exposure to the adamantium on his skeleton. Laura isn't Logan's daughter by definition, but more of genetic duplicate. The guy with the cybernetic arm, Boyd Holbrook, stars in The Predator and the first two seasons of the Netflix series Narcos
There was a fact.
The reason Logan was not healing because his Healing factor is gone after his Adamantium skeleton poisons him all these years.
And second what happened to Charles Xavier is had a Seizure.
The most worthy x men/ Wolverine movie ever made by humanity!
This movie Is like what I like to call very cool or badass
Logan is about 200 years old and the professor is 90
Not even the Academy was able to recognize Hugh Jackman's performance
In honor of this Wolverine, allow me to say something:
He was the best
At what he did
And what he did
Wasn't very nice
No matter how many times I watch this film the ending always makes me cry 😭
The red headed girl from the wolverine movie in Japan said she foresaw his death and described it perfectly with him holding his heart aka laura in his hand.
The death vision back in the Wolverine......it did happen.....he died with his heart on his hand.
This movie marks the end of one of my favorite superheros in the movies anyway but it fucking hurt man no one will ever replace hugh jackman as wolverine.
While DC has THE DARK KNIGHT
Marvel has LOGAN
33:01 That scream,…
Logan saying "so this is what it feels like" made me happy through my tears. He wanted to die for over a century, lost everyone he ever loved over and over and over again. He at one point had nothing more to lose and then Charles and The x-men came into his life and became his family, and then part by part he lost that family all over again and thats when he started plotting to take his own life with that adamantium bullet. Once Charles was gone, he figured he had nothing left to live for and refused to walk The world immortal and cursed to be alone for eternity. But Then Laura came into The picture. He wanted to die for so long and he finally could.
And he died holding his heart (Laura)in his hand just like yukino said.
R.I.P James "Jimmy" Howlett (wolverine) AKA Logan 1832-2029
Been a while since I commented on these videos huh. I truly believe Logan is one of the best superhero movies ever made It's a shame really that this didn't get any oscar's at all because this movie made me emotional, it's probably not best picture material but these actors are amazing in this movie and deserve so much credit for it
Logan is one of my favorite X- Men movie
This movie was very emotional and heartfelt and I didn't cry because I wasn't surprised about the deaths about the character. I say that because the characters who died in the movie were already dead in the comics.
Wolverine is my favorite member of the X-Men, Deadpool is another favorite of mine, as he once teamed up with Spider-Man in the one of the recent Disney XD Spider-Man cartoons.
This movie takes place in a separate timeline.
Also do you remember when in the Wolverine Yukio said "I see you on your back, there’s blood everywhere. You’re holding your own heart in your hand." Well...
Edit: I just remembered that X-24 is played by Hugh Jackman. Weirdly enough he looks just like Hugh Jackman and nothing like him at the same time.
I also thought that X-24 looked a lot more like Sabertooth.
Explanation time!
- Laura Kinney is a character better known by X-23, she is a female clone and eventual adoptive daughter of Wolverine and has the same powerset of adamantium coated claws, with an additional one on both of her feet, accelerated healing and enhanced senses and even takes up the mantle of Wolverine. She originates from the 2003 animated series X-Men Evolution, but her high popularity got her into the comics and has since popped up in other media, mainly video games and now this movie.
- The comics existing in universe is explained as the new timeline's Scott Summer writing them for A: Good publicity for mutants and B: Hidden coded messages to other mutants in need.
- The lack of other X-Men is explained that Charles, due to his age and now dementia, suffered a seizure that resulted with him having telepathically paralyzed over 600 people and killing several mutants, including members of the X-Men, and the remaining members couldn't recover from the loss and disbanded.
- Logan's healing is slowing down because of both his age and the adamantium coating his skeleton is slowly poisoning and killing him.
Yes! Finally! He's watching one the best Marvel movies plus one of the most saddest 😭😭😭😭
I think this timeline is the one that Wolverine returned in Days of future past.
Felt the same way this death hits you right n your chest cause u grow with these characters n never wanna see your favorite hero’s die especially the ones u grew up with I never thought I’d see wolverine die let alone Tony stark/iron man
This movie was emotional and epic and farewell movie to Hugh jackman playing Logan
X-Men: The Last of Us
professor x death in this one is sadder then his death in multiverse of madness
and also that family dead is sad but atleast they will be together in heaven
Laura (X-23) was created for the “X-Men Evolution” cartoon show (which establishes her origin) and then brought over to the comics. But I got to say THS is what I consider her ultimate version. (Yes, even the added detail of making her Mexian.) Cartoon Laura was intriguing but frankly bland and comic Laura was odd and inappropriate, I don't think they knew what to do with her. Dafne Keen is so amazing ad written so well though. If they ever try an X-Men reboot she should be the face of the new team. (Laura DOES take up Wolverine's mantle after he (temporarily) dies in the comics so there's stuff there to work with.)
If you can enjoy the little things from the X-Men movies
Then you're gonna enjoy DARK PHOENIX
When people ask where the girl is, then Calaban finds the trunk inexplicably open with Laura’s ball and bag, I haven’t seen a single reactor realize that Laura snuck a ride.
11:30 Logan is literally standing there with her stuff in his hands, that was just found in the trunk of his limo, which Calaban found open when neither he nor Logan opened it. I never would have guessed that would confuse the majority of people, especially after so much setup and focus on it.
Remember when he went to Japan the guy stole the thing that makes him heal super fast I don't know how to spell it.
Adimantium. I think this is how you spell it.
“WHAT IS THIS MOVIE?!”
Why only one of the greatest finales for a beloved character packed with R-Rated awesomeness.
(And yes, I said finale. DON’T bother watching Dark Phoenix or New Mutants.)
I bet they'll make Wolverine fight robots and other non-humans in the MCU just to keep it PG
I mean he does that in the cartoons
Yukio was right Logan died with his heart in his hand 😥😢👨👦
James Howlet (Logan) (The Wolverine)
Nature made him a freak.
Man made him a weapon
And "God" made it last too long.
- the last X men
I was just thinking this morning about your reaction to this :0 And now its here! Gasp!
I firmly believe this is the best comic book movie ever made. The story is fantastic, the acting is spectacular, the direction is incredible, the action is perfect. I also cannot watch the ending of this movie without breaking down into tears. Even in truncated form like this, the tears flow.
Trust me when I say this, YOU DO NOT want Professor X to have seizures.!
Caliban is portrayed by Stephen Merchant. He with Ricky Gervais created and directed the original UK ''The Office''. And he's 6′ 7″, btw.
X-24 represents Logan's inner demons. So the main 'bad guy' of the story was,in a way, himself.
I can’t imagine anyone else as wolverine, Daniel Radcliffe maybe it Hugh will always be the one!
Edit, the worlds oceans have now multiplied because of all the tears I gave🙃
Daniel Radcliffe hasn’t aged since Harry Potter And the Deathly Hallows Part 2.
@@morganspider-manmarvelfan6110 IKR he looks the exact same as he did 22 years ago
@@Letmeoverthinkthis Yeah. He was easy to recognize in that “The Lost City” movie.
Love your reaction to this and really love this movie. An incredible sendoff for such a powerful character.
Like father, like daughter
Back when less was more
Now that Disney got the X-Men, everything will be overblown with CGI and memes
Man i cried during Logan. Very Tragic. Pain.....stuff
Technically the New mutants is involved with the timeline they shoe horn the video from Laura's mother and all the kids are being kept in in that hospital/prison and thus boom is part of the Logan timeline
Love and respect from Afghanistan ❤🇦🇫
Now I'm sad that Logan died all over again. 😞
Great movie the only issue I have with this movie is the fact that we don’t get to see where the kids journey ends because there were planning to do a sequel to this movie before it was canceled focusing on the kids and I would’ve much preferred over the disappointing Dark Phoenix movie we got.
when logan died
people don't know the timeline and said how will be shown in MCU he died like Logan Timeline is 2029
I like to think of this movie as set in another timeline separate from the other movies
"So this is what it feels like.."
- Logan
I swear that line broke me a lot, because Logan lived so long for years, and he hasn't died since he can heal.. until now that he's losing the healing ability, becoming weaker, he still tries to protect for good even when he knows that he's dying..
Combination of things, in my opinion.
1) This is what dying feels like. Because he's never even been close to dying before, with his insane healing factor.
2) This is what a family feels like. Because he's always (since losing his memory in the Weapon X program) kept at a distance from people. Because he knows he's done some REALLY bad things, and because of his night terrors becoming night murders.
3) (though related to 2) This is what being a father feels like. Even more intense than family, to feel that father/daughter bond.
in MCU i would love to see wolverine entry in any movie
R.I.P Dr. Charles Xavier & Logan/Wolverine
This is the final chapter in the Wolverine Trilogy and the last X Men Movie in the Saga.
There’s still dark Phoenix
@@ItsTotallyCody That’s true. I hope you like it. There’s no telling what Disney will do with the X-Men, other than a continuation of an older animated series.
That ending gets you every time 😂
Featuring the brutal deaths of all our favorite mutants and Charles Xavier's dream! People will love it.
Good film but holy hell does it hurt.
I saw this on opening night in the theater, there was not a dry eye in the theater
Remember the Chinese girl from Wolverine when she said that he will die just like that in her dreams well it came true
She’s Japanese but yea. The movie was in Japan
@@ItsTotallyCody yep
This movie hurts, man! 😭😭😭This is like watching a Marvel version of The Green Mile😭😭😭💯💯💯
One of the best Marvel movies of all time
Aaaaw you're such a gem 🥺 That one was hard to watch. I loved your reaction though 🖤
I'll always hate this movie because of the deaths, but will always absolutely love it because of the emotions.
uk millie bobby brown was supposed to play X-23
Idk if it's new or if I'm just observant but the dream catcher on your wall is so pretty!!
Wolverine's death is one of the most saddest movie moments of all time!😢
When I first saw this movie I shed PLENTY of tears, and onboard a plane no less. Reminds me of another anime called "Akudama Drive". You should watch it too! ;)
So crazy that in The wolverine yukio told logan he dies holding his heart and he is holding laura's hand as he dies.
Rest In Peace wolverine we will miss you
33:37 I’m heartbroken 💔 when, wolverine died in the end of the movie.
Thank god I didn’t see this in theaters. Cause I was balling at the end of this😂
This movie is very interesting and great i like it. And the little girl in this movie has got incredible skills in a fight.
I saw this in theaters with my dad.

Yea intro is part of the reaction 😏
@@ItsTotallyCody Is it? What are you reacting to in the intro? It's all part of the same video, but I don't think you can really call it part of the reaction.
He died with his heart in his hand...just like Yuriko said in "The Wolverine"
Out of all xmen movies, I must say this was the most heaviest for me. That ending was the saddest thing I've ever seen in a marvel and xmen movie, tony stark's death follows that for me.
But i loved the reaction, cody!
Here's my favorite x men movies.
1.X men origins wolverine
2.New Mutants
3.Logan.
4.X men days of future past (rouge cut)
5.wolverine
6.X men last stand
7.x men
8.x men 2
9, x men first class
10.x men apocalypse
11.x men dark phoenix
Note, I haven't seen dead pool yet, maybe I should since I enjoyed your reaction!
But I love your reaction to it!
I’ve seen Deadpool and Deadpool 2, so you might want to watch both of them before the “R”-rated MCU Deadpool 3 comes out. I don’t know when the third one is coming, but it’s definitely happening.
Let's just hope the actor Patrick Stewart don't have to suffer like this when he'll be in deathbed, it's so heart breaking 😢
They are making a Marvel's Wolverine video game in the future.
