Clint Black is one of the most underrated songwriters of all time..He just came out at the wrong time..Right when Garth did..

Actually he came out at almost the same time as George Strait. Garth came out a bit later, but then over shadowed them
@@CountryDoublePlay George was out several years earlier, he has hits from the early 80s. Clint was part of what they called the Class of '89. Clint, Garth, Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt, Vince Gill... Good year for country music.

Actually...He said when he wrote this song that he would NOT sing it with anyone else but his wife. Many interviews verify that!!
@@johnramsey3317 Correct. He told her that he wrote this song and was going to sing with another female singer. He tricked her into practicing it with him. When it came time to record it was when he told her he wrote it for her and would only sing it with her.
I love that it's Lisa singing with him because it makes it so much more meaningful to listen to when it's a real couple in love.
I adore this song and the video. So romantic and popular to be sung at weddings. Clint had to twist his wife's arm to sing this with him. She didn't think she was good enough to do it. She is absolutely perfect to do it. this is so classy. Not like the skanky trash you see in videos now days.

GREAT reaction. Lisa IS his real wife. She was a part time actress/singer and married Clint in 1991 when she was around 34 yrs old. She’s made a few albums and she and Clint have also made some together. They were the “Snow Owls” on the fourth season of The Masked Singer.
Everything about this song and video is perfect! Beautifully written song. Honest, heartfelt lyrics. An awesomely beautiful melody!!! And a perfect matchup between Clint and Lisa's voices. This must have been played at who knows how many weddings.
Clint and I went to high school together...little town of Katy. His brothers Brian and Kevin are very talented as well. Its great that Clint stuck to his morals! And their marriage is so strong...his momma taught them right!

You won’t hear much about Clint Black because he refused the big people owning his music and songs. He was one of the first to say no. He stood strong against the high ups that wanted to control his music and him. That’s why he left the industry. Love this song and I never knew Lisa could sing. She has perfect harmony with him. I was a big Clint Black fan back in the early 90's. Even bought the tee shirt. ☺️ "I do" doesn't mean much to people anymore. That being said means God doesn't mean much to people anymore. When we say I do it's a commitment to you and Almighty God. We should be careful about making a promise to God and then not care about not keeping our word. Because the day will come when we stand before our maker and answer for the things we've done in our lives. Everyone will stand before Him and there's no getting around that. It doesn't if you believe it or not. It's going to happen and.may God have mercy on you and me when that time comes . Blessings to you.Modern Rennaisance Man!!!

That is Clint Black's real life wife, Lisa Hartman. She is not a singer professionaly. She's an actress. She use to be on the show Knots Landing. She played Tabitha on the unsuccessful show "Tabitha", a spin-off of "Bewitched". She also has been in some movies, but nothing I have heard of.
Their are 2 other country singers who are married to famous actresses also. Brad Paisley is married Kimberly Williams, and Keith Urban is married to Nicole Kidman.
