Jerry goes through the features like he shoots: FAST.
Dude just wants to go home 😂
I don't think he does anything slow
The problem is, this gun won't cost $3500. It will cost $7000 because you need to buy two, one to keep pristine in the safe and another to shoot the heck out of.
This is the way of collecting
You read my mind
Luke gets a lesson on speed shooting from the man, the legend, the GOAT....Mr. Jerry Miculek. I have no need for one of these but I want one. At $3400 it Isn't going to happen but a girl can dream.
Get yourself a 986 and you’re most of the way there
I'm trying to do the math to make it work too lmao
Only Jerry can make less grippy sound like a positive feature... But I ain't about to try to argue with about a dozen speed shooting world records...
i mean it makes total sense tho the way he moves the gun especially. those grips still look pretty nice, and its only 9mm
High speed, low drag.
“Jerry don’t play not sh*t, JERRY AINT NEVER BEEN ABOUT PLAYIN’ NO SH*T”
Well, I would think he's lived long enough to know.
How can you not like Jerry!
Never really my cup of tea.
I saw Jerry Miculek at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
@@TheStig505 Are you sure that wasn't a fever dream?
@TheStig505 goddamn you don't need to be on the internet dude whatever is wrong with you I'm sure there is no cure for
Jerry's finger sold separately
You'd think for $3,499 that they could afford to fill in that hole in the frame above the cylinder release. I guess the extra 0.04 cu in of scandium is really expensive.
😆😆😆
Blame Hillary for the hole; but I agree that for $3500, they should offer this with either a frame that has no lock hole or with something filling it in so as long as they don't have the lock there.
They me make other models without it. I don't know why they keep including it.
Oh will you people stop whining about a safety already.
@@joe1940because a safety lock is a good thing.
Always great to see Jerry! Thanks, Luke!
I am really hoping one day we can have a S&W R8 / TRR8 with a direct mill K style optic that cowitnesses with the factory iron sights. I mean if Taurus can do it….. surely S&W can
So many options. An Acro would be great too
I second that.
It's a competition gun nobody needs backup sights.
@@ironmonkey1512 Scandium can't stand up to the full training regimen that a competition gun would be expected to go through.
@@lordhellfire153 thats bs
Years ago I bought a new S&W 686 .357 Magnum. Didn’t like the wood stocks that came with the gun; tried several aftermarket grips @ finally settled on Pachmayr grip that looks like Jerry’s signature grip, but made of rubber. They fit my hand like a glove. Should have bought a backup set from Pachmayr because they don’t currently offer that style.
Jerry’s a national treasure
But pachmayr are ugly as sin. Did you try any of the Hogue rubber?
If Santa wants to drop down my chimney this Christmas....
$3500.00
Definitely not for the "common man" but a collector's item for the future nonetheless.
I mean if I saved all year and had absolutely zero fun during that time, then sure, I could afford it.
Yeah, that scandium choice is interesting. Not going to doubt Jerry when he says it handles faster, but that stuff is expensive and a steel frame 8 shot might be a better way to get into competition.
Limited production run
They do, @@mlgtactics9911
Anybody know where you can get a S&W coupon?
JM is a true legend!
WR stands for “wicked revolver” right?
I figured it stood for "World Record." It being associated with Jerry and all.
Its stands for World Record.
absolutely the best
Probably the only revolver I would ever buy
Yeah I’m not good enough of a shooter for that revolver
I don’t think Jerry is aging at all.
I see S&W took some notes from Taurus.
God bless the legend Jerry Miculek! My inner “fudd” is tingling!!
I miss your Mohawk!
Where can I purchase those grips?
I want two, with consecutive $n's
For those who've said, "If only I had Jerry's gun…"
oof looking at near German revolver price there. Did they have to drag their old revolver techs out of retirement to get these put together. Or are we looking at MIM subpar stuff, or more solid?
He actually doesn't mention that here, but now I'm curious. I know Jerry is no fan of MIM on race guns. Let us know if you find out.
Wow. $3400. When I bought my first Model 29 (8 3/8" in presentation box) it was less than $400. And I thought that was a lot of money.
I'd love to have one but they decided to make it a limited collectible instead of a performance center option for regular shooters. Very disappointing.
Let this one get out there a while, then see if they bring out a toned down version.
Brandon now works for TFBTV
😒 First revolver purchase and well I am not elated. I have been shooting semi-auto for a long time. Out of the box, the trigger pull is 11.5 lbs. Jerry runs a 7lb trigger. I guess it's not quite the same. Also, while I was cleaning it, the cylinder release fell off. After about 800 rounds now the firing pin is sticking. The Scandium Finish scratches very easily. Lastly the 5" barrel only has 3" of rifling. Called S&W they said I could send it back but it would be 6-8 week and maybe longer since this was a Performance Shop Gun. I expected more for a $3400 revolver.
I have a trr8 and the barrel came loose after putting like 50 rounds of tame factory ammo through it
it took six months to get it back from S&W, but they fixed it for free
now the rear sight is loose and tbh I will probably sell it
This is not the quality control one would expect from a place called “Performance Center”.
Sucks you got a lemon, I’ve got very lucky with S&W products. I got a normal production S&W 586 and so far couldn’t find any problem with it after five years and thousands of rounds.
In fact, it possibly my most accurate handgun I own.
I bought a S&w 929 and it is a pain to get moon clips to work. Shooting without the clips don’t work at all.
Jerry plops them right in.
I shoot a Ruger GP100 Match Champion in 10mm, and the moon clips work really well, they load so quickly. IDK what your problem is, but one common problem is letting them get bent. If they aren't flat, you'll have a bad day.
Would this gun be practical for self defense or strictly target shooting?
It will keel! Usually I say, whatever you want to train with the most, will be the best one to have in that case. In this case, I guess I'd still say that. I am sure you can end a threat with it. It'll handle any 9mm you put in it, as long as it chambers, and lets the wheel turn. A case could be made for this thing full of hollow points, it's an 8 shot, like some single stack 9mm autos, and you could be really fast with it. Reloads are faster on a semi auto mag fed pistol. Some shooting incident experts will say that you'll most likely run out of time, before you run out of ammo, in a shooting incident. You think about that. It's a $3500 revolver. It'll be a great revolver. Is a great revolver what you need? If you came here to ask this question, my guess is that you probably shouldn't be looking at revolvers for this purpose. Revolvers are an expert's weapon, not for the less experienced, or new gun owners. Just my opinion.
I want one! But gosh the price...
P+ 9mm without jams. I swear every police shooting has someone clearing malfunctions. Works at the range sure, but stress firing with actual defensive rounds is a completely different animal.
I don't know why you're here, do you know what video we're all watching?
$3,400 are y'all nuts?
For those who believe that this cost too much. Please consider that this is a full fledge automatic rifle that identify herself like a pistol. It's MG 43 disguise.
For that price pick up a revolver from Spohr.
Another speedy thing about titanium cylinders is how quickly they'll wear out. My guess on these would be maybe 1000 rounds? Most definetly not much by competitive standards. These things are made for fast shooting, maybe one reload, then be put back into a safe. Or you are sponsored by S&W and get free replacement parts as you need them.
If you want a revolver that lasts a lifetime at a super premium pricepoint, get something German. Korth or Spohr.
What wears out.?
@@LogisticallyMisrepresented the cylinder made from titanium. It doesn't survive the pressure and heat and abrasion for long. Titanium suppressors and muzzle brakes also wear out quickly. And in a cylinder they literally are the chamber, experience the worst wear and tear - where you want it to happen the least. And thus requiring frequent spare parts. Or titanium cylinder goes boom one day.
My 329pd has right at 800 magnum rounds through it. It looks the same as when it had the first six rounds, @@texasranger24

Can someone please fix JM's glasses so they stay on his face??
Why is there a bead front sight?😂
lol. a gun for whom? god love the guy interviewing him... realizing its a specialty gun
Not like they were trying to hide it.
👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸💯💯🔫🔫🍺🍺
Spend the extea 1500 and get a korth. The revolver cant be used in revolver division for uspsa.
I can't help but feel that this is a miss step for the industry with several companies trying to make optic ready revolvers. Now I may look like a total idiot in the future, but it's just hard for me to see (once the revolver competitive shooter community is satiated) the guys still using revolvers to want to use optics. I mean they've stuck with an outdated platform, you think they'd be receptive to the benefits of red dots? Again I do expect sales initially to the comp shooters, I'm just saying after that's done. I don't see the revolver crowd moving to red dots. Most of the ones I've met don't even believe in defensive ammo.
Revolver comp shooters have been doing pretty hacky stuff to get optics on revolvers for YEARS....what's so new and offensive about it? Seems like the same crowd would welcome an optics ready model. Especially like this, since say, the .357 mag shooters have been doing mods to use moon clips, and trying to load shorter cartridges for a long time as well. The 9mm revolver with moon clips is what a lot of shooters are looking for.
53 and can't see the sights any more, red dots are a godsend.
3400 is a pretty fantastic price for that gun. I wouldn't buy it but I definitely see the value with all that thought and development and the legend behind it.
$3500 and it comes with a Vortex lol.
jerry was not in control
$3500
Too much money
Jerry's gun is running $3400😮😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣THATS GONNA BE A REAL HARD PASS. NO THANKS GREEDY GUN COMPANIES!!¡
$3500 and it still has the Hillary Hole.
agreed. S&W revolvers are horrendous with these damn hillary hole locks
It pains me
Model 327 doesn’t come in 327mag? TheOneTrueCaliber is disappointed
For real!
I could never find that ammo
@@rico989 ammoseek! It's there!
Reddit and .32 caliber handguns are dumb, just stop.
For real, if they can do an 8 shot .357 then they could easily do a 9 or 10 shot .327.
Benefits of being European, can get Manurhin for that, hell even some Korth Waffen
So, what is that, like one benefit? Korth and Manuerin are born available here in the U.S. and you can carry if you wish, even open carry in some states if one wishes to do so. I know some parts are "more free" than others in Europe, but....
@@synystur21See stranger, this is exactly NOT what I meant by that, but You, of course, are FREE to be offended. What I meant was pricing and how imports, be it from Eu to Us or the other way around, you have to multiply prices by 1.5x. This is what I was getting at, as much as it's a nice revolver in Eu I can get something lovely and local for the same amount of money.
@@Sephiroth391 Well friend, no offense was taken. You’ve fully explained the reason for your original comment. When you mention “benefits” you invite comparisons, I was obliged to comment with a bit of sarcasm and wonder, what benefits are there, maybe we’re missing some here? So, being that I understand SOME of the rules/laws of Europe as a whole, I don’t know them all. Have a good one!
Neither of those useful for competition like ICORE or Steel Challenge.
A true American legend. Glad to see he’s still getting after it.

VERY LITE IN WEIGHT BUT HEAVY FOR US GUN NUTS THAT THINK GLOCKS HAVE GONE UP $350 SINCE 1989 WHEN I PAiD LE$S THEN $300 For A NEW ONE
Why are you yelling at us!
This is an ugly gun at a price that i’d rather buy a nicer blued or stainless revolver for (especially one without a hillary hole) THEN get aftermarket modifications like porting. I’ll pass.
Great interview!!!!!
I like Jerry but this gun would just be another S&W product that’ll probably end up needing to be sent back for repair or due to some faulty QC. Pass
i would never buy this expensive cap gun
I wonder what ammo he shoots so he doesn’t get bullet jump binding up the cylinder?
I like how he's like weight is for amateurs basically lmao
i have a 986 pro series and i love it, but wow i want one of these.
Wish they made one out of all steel but with the good sights and a nice tune. Might be affordable for us poor boys.
So you wish they made something other than a JM Performance Center 327 WR? Well, they actually make many more models than this. Or get a taurus, and shoot it a lot, it'll slick up.
Very happy to see .327 making a come back.
Hopefully my dad (James Reeves) will give me an advance on my allowance so I can pick one up!
Oh, wait, it's a 9mm? Then I hate it.
I can't believe it's not 45 ACP. I thought that was Jerry's favorite
They don't currently have one in the catalog.
You may be thinking of someone else.
USPSA rules changed about 15 years ago making .45 acp six shot guns obsolete. ICORE was always minor factor friendly so most revolver competitions today favor the 8shot/.38 and 9mm guns. It is a gun designed for competition not casual plinking
