With the jiggly feeling you should check out the M240i rear underbody brace (the OE one by BMW or ultra racing do a beefier one too) and subframe inserts made by powerflex, it doesn't change the comfort of the ride and transforms the handling of these 1 series by stiffening up everything in the rear end
Definitely, black inserts and the underbody brace are the way forward 👌🏼
I found the black powerflex were bit squeaky harsh and much better for track so I changed them for the yellows ones and it makes a massive difference
ricky ur povs and the m140i is the reason im gunna hav a mid life crisis. Turn 45 next week and the 140i will hopefully be putting some long overdue smiles on my face😂😂

I think just go ahead with the GT3. I think it’s the dream car for most of us petrol heads in 2022 vs the GTR. Both great cars but the GT3 is levels. If you can then then anything from the 991.2 onwards as the 4.0 motors in all this cars is truly bomb proof now.

Charge pipe meth injection is dangerous on B58s. The intake manifold is shaped in a way that won't allow meth to travel to every cylinder evenly. Cylinder 6 usually runs lean and ends up losing compression.
I think those pops/bangs sound sick.. each to their own I suppose. Mad car tho, respect. I would love to own one of these, the B58 is next level.

I think get a couple more santapods out of the gtr maybe a top speed run not sure who else but I’d enjoy that maybe give it a go on a track on your low boost just pump setting just for the fun of it🤷♂️🤣and that’s all that you can get out if it really get rid of it then you can start making new content with a gt3 which would you be looking at a 991.2 or a 992?the dealer sale value on 992s are through the roof at the minute your looking over 25-30% added on to Porsches Sale value which I believe is around 140-170k depending on spec(could be wrong)and your seeing no less than 200-210 and upwards of 230

Ricky which LSD diff do you have in your M140i,because my M140i well let's just say it desperately needs a LSD.
I recently put a Quaife LSD in my M140i, can't recommend it highly enough. I felt like the power was unusable before, but now it gets so much more traction. It's great on the skidpan now too :)

Just wondering how comes you don't drive the car in 'S' in the gears but like to use 'D' and 'M' only, always have preferred 'S' over 'D' personally
I think with auto cars once u put in the s option it’s auto regardless if you’ve got the shiftronics once you hit the paddles it takes it into manual normal not s, Mercedes and other cars have the option to put the engine on s constantly so when you do use the manuals it’s still in s
@@OverLoadTheLedger Oh nope, i’ve got an M240i myself and when you put it into ‘S’, it holds the revs a lot higher and will rev for longer, thus it’s initial throttle response is a lot faster as it’s already ready to go.
@@M21KEY no points for putting the gear in s mode to get high rev u gonna lose the boost and short life the engine
@@hasan_440i short life the engine 🤣🤣🤣 it will auto upshift , i’m not talking about bouncing the revs off the limiter when driving it, S mode is still auto.

If it’s stock you would get done. My dads got a m3 comp stage 1 520 hp. My best mate got 460hp stage 2 140 and the m3 gets done everytome

Honest question Ricky.. Your a proper driver so any reason for the auto over the manual.. Manual stage 2 sounds more fun but there must be a reason for you opting for the auto cheers Ricky
Edit agreed.. The pops and bangs are overdone and outdated.. Natural bangs are where its at
I think the autos that are paired with the B58 is what makes these cars so fast. It'll always stay in a nice power band compared to a 6MT. I test drove a M240i 6MT and it was quicker than my N54 135i 6MT but didn't feel as fast as my mates M140i auto. If you want a fast 0-60 and 100-200 I would say go for auto.

I’d say the biggest thing that needs addressing is the handling in comparison to a full M car. It’s not that it’s awful, it’s just not at the same level as an M car. Good suspension setups on this car completely transform it to cope with the power properly. I’ve got a stage 2+ manual one and it’s mega but, handling did need addressed for ultimate confidence on back roads.

The best advice I'd give you is test-drive both. I originally was considering either a Golf R or an M140. The Golf felt dead M140 felt so much more aggressive and alive. So go drive them before you make a decision on either. That's what I'd recommend
