I have this bible and I have filled it up by illustrating my favorite verses so it is filled with color and is eye catching to others. Those little bits of leather will go away after a short time. Thanks for the nice review as always!

It has an old world look to it. I started reading the ESV earlier this year and I like it. Been using it for 5 month now. Real good translation.

That would make for a great preaching Bible as well. I used to live in southeast Texas and it rained a lot. Preachers in areas like that would love to have that protection without having to buy or carry a case. Great review sister!

Their is a Bible with the same type of leather cover at our local Cracker Barrel. Restaurant. It’s been there for around 16 months sense I’ve noticed it. I believe I have showed it to my wife no fewer than 35 times over that period. LoL. Some day she’ll get the hint. 👍🏻 thank you for what you do for us. It’s a lot of fun going through these bibles with you.
tell your wife I need to speak to her cause you have to have that Bible, it has been waiting there patiently for you! Maybe take it to the cashier and ask "excuse me can you tell me how long this has been in stock here?" and when they say "we have had that here for a year and a half sir" then you can ask "oh, so it is on clearance then ?" and maybe they will give you a good deal on it. LOL, it is worth trying.

I have this bible and love it. The little bits of leather will eventually subside. Watch out for cats and the long strip of leather though - haha.
Crystal Samples good to know on the little bits of leather, it’s still a little bit on the messy side. I can see how the long strip of leather would be appealing for a cat to play with, LOL. Bible Believing Christian I just saw that they are coming up with a new addition of this Bible that replaces one they had before. It is coming out on the eighth month of this year. It has a blank page behind every page for notes.The interleaved edition.

I know we aren't supposed to covet, but I have had this Bible on my want list for at least a year now. You are the first reviewer I have seen showing this, up close and personal. Do you ever do follow up reviews, such as after six months of use? I would love to know how these more costly Bibles hold up with use. I'm a fixed income retiree so I need to consider expenses. I have always taken notes, or tried to, in all of my Bibles. I also learned the Inductive Study way of marking The Word so bleed through is a consideration for me as well. Thank you for taking the time to show this Bible, particularly since watching a video is far more valuable as far as actually seeing the size, print, etc. God Bless!
It is a very nice Bible and they also have it in their imitation leather which is really nice too and that one is much more affordable too, unless you really prefer this cover style. Personally I am more apt to write in my less expensive Bibles. I haven’t taken any notes in this one yet but I plan to and I will do a follow up on it once I’ve marked in it. I am still trying to figure out my marking method and colors I want to use. But I would also look at the imitation leather ones cause it is a lot less and they hold up really well. I have one I use all the time and after two years it still looks great, it’s just a different text block than this one but I am impressed with their imitation leather covers. Anything from Crossway is going to be good quality. But go to Christianbook and look at this one and the imitation leather ones and see what you think, you might really like the imitation ones, I was actually looking at them today online. I think thr cream colored paper really does increase readability.. I read a lot on my iPad...I have LIBBY... and I always h Ave a black background, with white letters... Very easy on the eyes.
It’s a nice Bible. They don’t have one like this cover in the NKJV but the Journal the Word NKJV has the same type of paper and they do offer it in a large print too. How big are the lines spaced out on the margins for notes? What the measurement between the line?
Thst really isn’t what I would call true large print... However, I love the look...
The cream colored paper definitely makes the print easier to read.
Sandy Grogg yeah the font isn’t very large but considering the size of the Bible is what constitutes a large print, kind of like how when they have a little pocket sized 4x6 Bible that’s a “giant print” when it’s a 6-7pt font, it’s giant based on the physical size of the book. It makes it hard because for me a large print is 10+ and a giant print 14+ but many call a 9pt large which I think that’s a basic size. The cover is awesome though, they did a nice job on it, it reminds me of an old journal or book that’s been around for a long time. Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate it

It makes it very hard cause there are just way too many beautiful ones available. It is hard to pick one.
I saw you review and I bought this bible and I am disapponted because the leather on my bible is thin and dull but this bible you show in your review has glossy and thick leather. ISBN no. of this bible is the same. This same was with ESV Study Deep Brown Cowhide Bible. I saw your rewiev and I was so exited that I bought this Bible and when I opened box I felt cheated because the leather on my bible looks much different than on this one , you show in your review. Leather on my ESV Cowhide bible outside cover looks like this one is used inside this covew . On your review we can see two defferent kinds of leaater but my bible has thin , light brown cover outside and inside. It's like they have two kinds covers for those bibles or just try to cut costs of production. I bought aswell McArtur secend edition bible after seen you review and It's looks exactly the same is in you review and the ESV Heirloom Study Bible secend edition is the same lether , you show in your review.
I am not to intend to criticize your review because I love to watch you review , I am just poiting that it not always the same ,what you see and what you buy.
If you got one with a different leather I would reach out to Crossway. Maybe when they did a different batch of them they used a different leather ? That’s hard to say. All the ones I’ve seen are just like this one. But if it was a later production date it’s possible they could have changed something. That is disappointing though to expect one thing and receive something different.

This edition doesn’t have any references. Just a text only Bible with wide margins.
Hi! This is the Old and New Testament in one book, right? I can't find the answer to that anywhere. I saw the index in the video but I really want to make sure since our journaling Bibles here (in Germany) are literally separated into three huge books (Old Testament in two parts and the New Testament).

I’ve never actually looked to see if it has them all or not. I’d have to get it out and check.
So... help me make sure I'm understanding. They changed the lines in the column? If so... that's a big improvement!
They made the font larger but it still has the 2” margins but the spacing on this one I think is done very well cause a lot of people like to use pigma microns and write small so I think the spacing is really good on this one and the font size is very readable. I’m not sure how the line spacing is on the non large print edition but I think they did a great job on this one and I love the cover design and how it reminds me of an old journal. Crossway does an amazing job on all of their products. As you’ve said in your videos you can get something really, really great for a great price, or something to that effect, it always makes me laugh when you say it but it’s so true, Crossway is very consistent and you get the best bang for your buck with their Bibles. I know this is an old video, but does this Bible have the red lettering when Jesus is speaking or no???
The leather in your video looks like nice rich chocolate, but it appears more like a tan in other photos I've seen. Is yours really this dark or is it just the camera lighting?
It’s darker than others I’ve seen. My friend has one and hers is a few shades lighter than mine. I’ve seen one that the person used mink oil on theirs and it made it a shade or so darker than mine and it looked really nice.
Does Crossway have a red-letter edition?
Tracy Sturgill I can’t think of any Crossway editions that have red letter. I think Cambridge makes some red letter ESVs. If I come across a Crossway one I’ll drop a link to it. How would you compare this one to the new similar csb? What would be your preference?
I like the leather and binding better on the CSB and the CSB also has more note taking space due to the concordance is wide margin as well. They’re both great Bibles and I really like both translations but this one tends to leave a little mess from the leather, I’m sure that will stop over time but I don’t have that issue with the leather on the CSB one plus the strap is better on the CSB as well and seems like it would hold up better. Bible Believing Christian thanks for responding! I do like how the csb is edge-lined. It can be hard to find reasonably priced bibles of certain translations where I live, particularly NASB, and CSB, so it takes a lot of research before committing to one. I really appreciate the time you put into the ministry of spreading passion for the word! Praying for your recovery!

francis rozario it’s very well made. Crossway makes excellent Bibles and they have a huge variety of binding options. They are an excellent publisher.
Is the Bible big or is it a comfortable size
It’s not what I’d call bulky like some study Bibles might be. The dimensions in the video are the outer dimensions of that helps. Online most of the sizes listed are the text block only minus the cover. I don’t think I’d use this one as a daily carry Bible. But for at home use it is an awesome Bible.
