4:21 just like Aragorn, i shed manly tears watching that tower going down LOL.. That moment when the ring got into the lava and started sinking slowly and then disappeared was one of the most epic moment i have ever watched on a movie theater.. everybody was cheering and clapping on those scenes..

1:36 He won. After 3 whole movies, 78 long, long years; he finally got it back. An entire human lifetime spent searching for it, and he finally has it back in his shriveled hands. It betrayed him. Destroyed and corrupted him. Once a Stoor living happily among the Anduin, now a broken monster, having outlived all his kin. And yet he is as euphoric as one would be after reuniting with a long lost love. 2:08 Frodo looked up from his bleeding finger, and stared at Gollum. All this time he was kind to him. And how did he repay him? He betrayed him, leaving him to die; and now he has taking his ring. His precious. It belongs to Frodo. It came to him. He deserves it! Frodo stood up with fury in his eyes. Slowly walking towards him. Behind him, Sam watches them fight it out. Frodo lunges at Gollum, and they both slip.
After Frodo says "Here at the end of all things" and the screen goes dark . . . I don't think I've ever been so scared in a movie theater. I was terrified because I thought the filmmakers were ending the movie right there.

I felt the same way. A little teaser on their part. Not to mention that look frodo gives Sam when he's thinking about letting go. Quite a few surprises.
5:15 What an emotional moment in the movie. We see the volcano erupt with a fiery explosion with no chance in sight that Frodo and Sam made it out alive. Their friends don’t continue celebrating when the volcano explodes, all they think about is their friends who were obviously in the volcano when the ring was destroyed. Beautiful
The music of Howard Shore for LotR is a masterpiece. So very well done and in spirit with the magical, mythical world of Middle-earth. I thank you for sharing this; and greetings from the Laurelin server of The Lord of the Rings Online!
What I love here is how we get the classical start to Sauron's theme, but then it changes to a victorious note. They had done it, servant of Morgoth Bauglir was finally destroyed
5:20-6:19 Frodo-I can see the shire, the brandywine river, the lights, the party tree, Gandalf's fireworks. Sam-Rosie Cotton dancing. She had ribbons in her hair. If ever was to marry anyone, it would have been her. It would have been her. Sam starts to cry and Frodo puts his arms around Sam. Frodo-I'm glad your here with me Samwise Gamgee. Here at the end of all things.
Just found this and it's so moving to listen to this, everytime it gets to the part where Mt Doom blows it's top, I cry because the faces they had thinking Frodo was gone was so overwhelming.

I just finished a coding assignment that I have spent way too long on (weeks), and when I ran 10,000 test cases and they all came out successful I literally heard the music at 3:51 against my will.
Sam: "Rosie Cotton dancing, She had ribbons in her hair, If ever I was to marry someone, it would have been her It would have been her...It would have been her." Sadly this music isn't on this version *crys inside* @ 6:17 they had run away from the lava and Frodo says "It's gone" but the beautiful bit with Sam & Rosie isn't included :(
Actually there is also a part where Frodo tries to climb back up from the chasm. But it's really hard to mix with that part. Pretty sad because I love that part too.
Folks complained ab how long the ending was but fast forward to 2019 and end game was so similar. 3 hours long with so many endings and the credit scene was similar too. I love both LOTR and Avengers tho
I think return of the king is better but endgame is good where I feel lord of the rings is a big book that has so many good thinks it should be 3 hrs but the first hour of endgame is soooooo boring between when infinity war thanos dies and they screw up in New York is a snooze fest but with return of the king I dont get that .
