Hunger Games are great by they stand nowhere near this. These are seven great books, eight epic movies, tons of amazing characters, magic, our childhood (or teen years), etc... =]
Well, honestly speaking, The Hunger Games is a book about kids slaughtering each other in cold blood, while Harry Potter, it's a whimsical world filled with adventure and MAGIC. Don't get me wrong, I love THG, but it'll never earn a place so close to my heart like Harry Potter. Books like Harry Potter gave me, and I'm sure many of us, an escape from the harsh realities this world has to offer, taking all of us to a land of not only fantasy and magic and whatnot, but also one filled with nobility and sacrifice and bravery and love. Sure, THG has that, but for some reason, Harry Potter gives me a sense of home. I know it sounds kinda corny, but seriously, this weekend I finished reading the Deathly Hallows for, like, the 50th time, and it still makes me feel like I'm saying goodbye to an old, close friend. I recently found this quote, which pretty much sums up my experiences reading Harry Potter. "Finishing a book is bittersweet. You spend days getting to know the characters. Learning their nuances, their faults, their loves, their lives. They become your friends, acquaintances, enemies. And after the story ends, you miss them. You look for them in your own life, wonder where they've gone, you forget that they aren't real. You fall in love with the hero and dream of him at night. The strange girl becomes your best friend. Their heartaches become your heartaches. You laugh when they laugh. And cry when they die. Eventually you realize they aren't a part of your world, you were just briefly visiting theirs." *SIGH*
Just a look at Harry's face says it all for ALL of us: the age, the darkness, the unyielding determination. Simply superb. Epic poster for one of the greatest movie finales ever.
Lord Alucard Well they needed to put an end to this saga one day and try to stick a minimum to the book... But it pissed me of as well, what a shitty ending^^
Mikolaj Wojtowicz It wasn't a shitty ending. Harry & Ginny were always going to end up together. Why do people think the epilogue was terrible? It wasn't. It was great. It certainly didn't "prop up an awful future".
Lord Alucard Ginny had a crush on Harry from age 11, & she & Harry fell in love with each other in Harry's 6th year. Of course she was close to Harry. As for Ron & Hermione, have you ever heard of the phrase "opposites attract"?
Wow. This song is great. It is sad, because it seams as a sign that Hogwarts is destroyed and the series is over. But it is also full of hope. Hope, that Harry Potter will live forever. Because the series will never end. Harry, Ron, Hermione and the others will always be in our hearts. After all this time? -Always. We will never forget Harry. His world is immortal.
1. Why did you create A Google+ account using a fictional character as a username + Picture? 2. How will Harry Potter live forever? He doesn't exist only the actor 3. The series did end 4. His world isn't immortal have you watched the movies? 5. People will forget in probably 45 years (Due to us getting Alzheimer) You should view movie sets you'll realize how staged it is i know that you already know that but to actually see it will change your opinions in the right direction.
Brokengamezone We love HP, and we are proud of it. We don't care if you make fun of us, or whatever, for it. I will never forget HP. It's the book that changed my life.
Harry Potter brings a touch of extraordinary into the lives of ordinary people . It has changed the lives of millions of people all around the globe and continues to do so even now.
I remember so clearly being at the p2 midnight premiere. And I honestly cried for about 80% of the movie. i remember hearing this piece of music playing and being so mesmerized by it, but also crying at the same time because it was the last ever Harry Potter movie to grace our cinema screens. What an amazing time to grow up
I always cry when I hear this music. Minerva McGonagall's locomotor magic when she calls the statues to fight to protect the school....The teachers and Moly's protective magic.... (this is an unforgettable scene.) I simply cannot be grateful enough for having the opportunity to grow up on this film series. Whatever anyone says, I know that there are very few films or film series that can surpass the Harry Potter film series. An entire generation was raised on this film series, and few films or film series can say the same.
Is it just me or does everyone else feel a strange sort of fuzzy feeling in their stomach when they listen to this? I love this so much brings back so many memories and its hard to hold the tears back :((

*_I've been with this fandom since 2005 💖 I was 4 years old when I first started watching them. I started reading them when I was a little older. Fantastic Beasts was amazing too...I'm so glad the wizarding world is back._*
I've claimed Infinity War as my favorite movie for years, but this movie blew my mind upon rewatching it. Infinity War is still great, but it doesn't thrill me in that same way. This was my favorite movie when it came out and I'm proud to say that it still holds that torch 10 years later.
Harry Potter is not just a book and movie series, it is an emotion, power, inspiration. It is something that makes life worth living. This soundtrack is not just a soundtrack. It describes the universe more marvelous and amazing than this.
Alexandre Desplat's masterful score -- especially the ominous, sad-beyond-tears, and sacrificial "Courtyard Apocalypse" -- is what lifts this last Harry Potter movie from a children's movie into greatness. Years from now, film critics will give the regard to this movie that it deserves.
this, by far was one of the most memorable songs from the series, as someone who grew up with Harry Potter, this marked the end of my childhood, some of our favourite characters would not make it through the night, it all ends here
I was only 5 years old when the first Harry Potter film released. I am so thankful to have grown up with this franchise. When I hear this music it honestly breaks my heart. Watching Hogwarts getting destroyed felt like watching a piece of my childhood being destroyed. Forever thankful for these movies and books.
Rewatched this series this week. This song played while I was half paying attention and I immediately went silent. I couldn't even cry. I just...watched.
As a 90's kid, I remember walking into Target going to pick up some clothes and I ended up (as a small kid) seeing Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone on the tv's in the shop and my mom and I ended up sitting and watching it for a while.
I am a Christian and I love Harry Potter, some Christians need to relax a little bit, no disrespect at all because this is just a book and movie series. Anyway this song is amazing and it culminates the series and my childhood. :)
i am a christian too and the band wasnt allowed to play harry potter music cause of magic! i was angry even tho im not in band but my friend is! i wish people would relax cuz i LOVE harry potter
Grace Owen That is THE stupidest rule ever! Harry Potter is epic! AND it's so hypocritical. I am in band and choir, in a public school, and pretty much all we sing about is God related. I'm an Atheist and I can handle singing those songs, so I'm sure Christians can suck it up and play songs that really should not even offend them. (My cousins are die-hard Christians and they weren't allowed to read or see Harry Potter, and then one of them went to college, read it, and LOVED it! They weren't offended at all, just saying.)
I was hesitant to listen to the extended version because this song as played in the movie, with the trio running through the monsters, is my favorite scene in any movie ever and I always cry, it is a masterpiece. But ... this extended version lets us dwell in it for so much longer, it is beautiful.
To this day I still get excited waking up early in a weekend and seeing it’s a Harry Potter marathon on channels like freeform, USA, or syfy. One of my favorite series of movies that will never get old from watching from start to finish.
+Kenzie Plays Roblox Daniel Radcliffe didn't always want to be know as "The Guy Who Played Harry Potter", and you have to respect his decisions even if you don't like them because you can't do anything about it. Now don't get me wrong, I don't like his choice, but what can you do about it? There's more to come like Pottermore, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, The Cursed Child, etc. Plus, the new movie isn't a sequel or a prequel to Harry's story, I think it's about Newt Scamander's findings (I think I haven't read that book yet). "Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light." -Albus Dumbledore Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
That moment.. The place where u learned and made many memories getting destroyed and ruined.. Seeing your loved ones getting hurt and dying in front of you... Volunteering yourself to defend your people.. That moment you don't know whether u will live or die.. But still you go knowing it.. No matter what house or what place you are from. All we do is to survive and protect our loved ones. We all have both light and dark in our hearts. It's we who chose to act. And Remember.. You are just a good person who bad things happen to... /*
Lest we forget all of those brave students who grew into seamless warriors on that fateful day, Lest we forget the amount of blood spilled to just defend Hogwarts Lest WHY it was that members of the magical community turned to the Death Eaters Lest we forget James and Lily, the bringers of salvation Lest we forget Dumbledore, the protector of salvation Lest we forget Molly and Arthur, the carers of salvation Lest we forget Snape, the servant of salvation all of this time Lest we forget Ron, the moral compass of salvation Lest we forget Hermione, the brains of salvation Lest we forget Harry, the embodiment of salvation Lest we forget...
IF YOU DONT WANT TO HAVE AN EMOTIONAL BREAKDOWN I WOULDNT SUGGEST LISTENING TO THIS WHILE READING THE LAST CHAPTER IN THE DEATHLY HALLOWS OK IM DYING bYE
This is without a doubt the greatest scene in all of Harry potter the emotion and epic ness portrayed in this scene, seeing our childhood what we've spent many years living through the books and the movies watching it prepare for the final battle is truly awe inspiring
It may be forgotten if we believe it will, but if we keep it in our hearts it will not be forgotten. Harry Potter will live on forever. I will always love Harry Potter.
This scene, when Hogwarts it's on fire was too sad, in that moment I realized that my childhood was going away. Nowadays, this saga still caresses my heart
I swear when I started and all the violins started etc ( 0:10 ) there was one thunder thingie outside, it gave me goosebumps and now I'm shaking cause this song is so goddamn perfect!
This music is so emotional, heartbreaking, nostalgic and at the same time makes me and many of us sooo happy to have loved something so marvelous, including the most awesome cast ensemble ever. People do not give enough credit to the films' team and cast. For many countries, it was films which made the books popular and us curious. It was Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson AND every single cast member which made us love characters and stories even more.
I get chills every time I hear this. I grew up with Harry Potter, my child hood consisted of reading the books, waiting for the books, watching the movies, and waiting for the movies. For me this song represents the end of that said childhood. Harry Potter made be a children's book but it's a children's book that touched many lives, including mine. Harry Potter will be with me ALWAYS.
It's funny how with the most movies the upfollowing parts are always worse but with Harry Potter it just kept getting better and better. I can watch the movies over and over again and I still want to see them. Best Film ever made.
I remember growing up in the 00s with Harry Potter, watching the movies, reading the books and even playing the videogames over and over, never getting old and there always being new content to look forward too. And then this film came out, and obviously I went to see it at the cinema after a marathon of the first seven films. At the end of the film I was in such an emotional state because I had finally reached the end of the decade-long journey and I knew there was no more to look forward to (even though there was Fantastic Beasts and Cursed Child coming years after, although while good, still didn't give me the childhood vibes that the original adventures did). Whenever I hear this particular song, even though it's now been over six years since, I still feel emotional as this tune reminds me of when my childhood was over, and every single moment of my childhood rushes through me. 2011 was a depressing time for alot of us potterheads no doubt, I'm no exception surely.
Anyone still listening in 2022?

Harry Potter is not just a book and movie series, it is an emotion, power, inspiration. It is something that makes life worth living. This soundtrack is not just a soundtrack. It describes the universe more marvelous and amazing than this.
Alexandre Desplat's masterful score -- especially the ominous, sad-beyond-tears, and sacrificial "Courtyard Apocalypse" -- is what lifts this last Harry Potter movie from a children's movie into greatness. Years from now, film critics will give the regard to this movie that it deserves.
Harry Potter is the best book series, best movie series, and best fantasy novel. Of all times.
this, by far was one of the most memorable songs from the series, as someone who grew up with Harry Potter, this marked the end of my childhood, some of our favourite characters would not make it through the night, it all ends here
I was only 5 years old when the first Harry Potter film released. I am so thankful to have grown up with this franchise.
When I hear this music it honestly breaks my heart. Watching Hogwarts getting destroyed felt like watching a piece of my childhood being destroyed. Forever thankful for these movies and books.
I think the most beautiful thing humans ever created is music.
Rewatched this series this week. This song played while I was half paying attention and I immediately went silent. I couldn't even cry. I just...watched.
This song still gives me chills every time I hear it.
Masz świętą rację :)
i am a christian too and the band wasnt allowed to play harry potter music cause of magic! i was angry even tho im not in band but my friend is! i wish people would relax cuz i LOVE harry potter
Grace Owen I understand what you are saying, it isn't real, yet most Christians are riled up. God is real, Harry Potter isn't.
Mackenzie S I agree.
After all this time?! 😭 💔
always

I was hesitant to listen to the extended version because this song as played in the movie, with the trio running through the monsters, is my favorite scene in any movie ever and I always cry, it is a masterpiece. But ... this extended version lets us dwell in it for so much longer, it is beautiful.
To this day I still get excited waking up early in a weekend and seeing it’s a Harry Potter marathon on channels like freeform, USA, or syfy. One of my favorite series of movies that will never get old from watching from start to finish.
Everything is epic at this scene! the quidditch players fighting death eaters while flying, everything! Stand for what you want to protect!
Harry James Potter, the most brave warrior.
nah neville ofc
+Vitor Arruda Snape forever, the true hero of the story...
+Michael G Indeed, Severus Snape..
+Michael G Remember that Snape made Harry Jump into a freezing cold lake just because he didn't like his father? yeah..
lol no
I'm about to cry. WHY CANT THE NEW MOVIE HAVE HARRY IN IT?! Now I'm crying.
Okay then.
Kenzie Plays Roblox wait didn't you have another profile picture?
I changed it.
Knew it
That moment..

One of the best scenes in the Harry Potter franchise... Gave me chills when I watched it.
This is one of the best soundtracks in any movie I've ever heard. It captured the feeling at the Battle of Hogwarts perfectly.
when I listen to this music I'm told the best saga is over and it makes me sad for 1 week: (
hedwig's theme makes me sad for months
Lest we forget all of those brave students who grew into seamless warriors on that fateful day,
Lest we forget the amount of blood spilled to just defend Hogwarts
Lest WHY it was that members of the magical community turned to the Death Eaters
Lest we forget James and Lily, the bringers of salvation
Lest we forget Dumbledore, the protector of salvation
Lest we forget Molly and Arthur, the carers of salvation
Lest we forget Snape, the servant of salvation all of this time
Lest we forget Ron, the moral compass of salvation
Lest we forget Hermione, the brains of salvation
Lest we forget Harry, the embodiment of salvation
Lest we forget...
perfectly encapsulates the scene, underrated
This song gives me goosebumps.
Agreed :)
It may be forgotten if we believe it will, but if we keep it in our hearts it will not be forgotten. Harry Potter will live on forever. I will always love Harry Potter.
This song still gives me chills every time... The feels were real in this film.
This song is so addictive .... uhh the good old times.
harry potter
This scene, when Hogwarts it's on fire was too sad, in that moment I realized that my childhood was going away. Nowadays, this saga still caresses my heart
It´s just ridiculous that HP doesn´t have an Oscar for it´s amazing soundtrack. Real robbery.
I love the dark haunting mysterious vibe it gives off while still being calm and steady. Damn beautiful.
This is one reason why I like Harry Potter, the music changes EVERYTHING about the mood
I swear when I started and all the violins started etc ( 0:10 ) there was one thunder thingie outside, it gave me goosebumps and now I'm shaking cause this song is so goddamn perfect!
R.I.P. Fred😭😭😭
I throw my wand up in the air sometimes, sayin' ay-oh where'd my nose go!
+Lucky Lilac Genius :)
thank you for a happy comment
Love it lol :D
This soundtrack is beautiful
It's funny how with the most movies the upfollowing parts are always worse but with Harry Potter it just kept getting better and better. I can watch the movies over and over again and I still want to see them. Best Film ever made.
Me too my brother
Potterhead forevee
Listening to this at a high volume is epic..
One of the most emotionally powerful, touching, meaningful, and beautiful tracks in the history of cinema.
Can we all just agree that this is an absolute Masterpiece of Music History
2023 and still kicking.
Is it wierd that I cried listening to this because I miss Harry Potter so much
I would obliviate myself to forget all the surprises in Harry Potter to read it all over again.
same here :')
This movie had my crying like all over the place. The music takes the emotional toll to a whole other level.
I haven't heard this in years and when I did again I got so emotional. HP changed my life and I'll love it forever
So beautiful memories
"Even in the darkest of times all you need to do is turn on the light"

Of course I am you fool I am a double agent and a potions master.
Severus Snape Voldemort sucks.
Of course you used anti badgervenom

Haha thanks I couldn't quite remember how the sentence ended
Severus Snape Lol.
Could listen to this every day for the rest of my life and NEVER get tired of it.
