I bought my backup camera from ebay and on the long video cable they provided it has a second thin red wire on both end of the video cable. One end of the red wire is suppose to connect to the reverse tailight positive wire and the other end of the red wire is suppose to connect to the headunit's "reversing camera trigger" wire but on my Eonon GM5163 headunit it does not have this trigger wire...do you know what am I suppose to do with this red wire or connect it to since I do not have the trigger wire?
Hm..Weird. That means that the camera won't turn on when you back-up. Then I recommend to use the AV hook-ups, so the camera will turn on when you press AV.

Hi I tried installing a similar screen. It worked at first then only the illuminated buttons worked but the actual screen was blank and the infotainment was also blank. I tried reinstalling the factory radio but same issue. Do you have any idea what the problem is?

The volume button works on steering wheel, but forward song and back are reversed (up goes back, down goes next song) furthermore pickup call does not work or hangup. My Bluetooth audio according to people I talk to say I sound very bad quality. Did the shop install incorrectly possibly? Thank you
The main plug has multiple pins for each wire connection (male + female styles that connect together). Could be that some pins have been moved or flatten during the installation.

Funny! Rushing to reply how good this stereo is when my sister called me to tell me that the stereo won't turn off, wasting the battery. I had to remove it yesterday! The car display won't turn off even if the stereo is off. I think is the cambus that burned as it was very hot when I removed it. It's reparable.

@@gigi19mai1 the stereo itself starts, but supposedly there’s an app needed for the dash cam, the genius I am had someone throw all my trash away which had the dash cam instruction in it. So I have dash cam with SD installed and hooked up but can’t get it working through the stereo
For all the aftermarket stereos I ever installed I had to replace the speakers as they start buzzing after few months. The aftermarket stereos have far more powerful amplifiers and the stock speakers are way too weak to handle the power (cardboard membrane, 1970's models still installed today). I don't know if the Bose speakers have the cardboard membrane, but if they start buzzing you might need to replace them or just disconnect them.
I am very close to purchasing this or a similar radio. Can you tell me if there is a way to have audio recorded with DVR app when using the camera? I know the radio has a microphone but I can't find any info that says if it will pic up sound for recordings.
tjlmbklr I've never tried it, but I am positive that that extra mike if for recording, not for bluetooth as I mentioned. The bluetooth mike was in the stereo and is located behind the 3 little holes in the casing.

If not, are you able to test to see if the DVR function (I was told these radios have a DVR app already installed) will pick up the sound? It would be a huge help, I do not want to waste time and money to find out it will ot pick up sound which is an important feature. If there is no DVR app there are plenty in the Play store that will work from the research I have been doing.
You can get the car aux port to work with the unit but it's a bit complicated. The new stereo supplies 2 brown wires with 2 jacks for the aux, where you can get your connection. If you prefer to get the car aux port connection, then you can remove the car aux plug (white rectangle shape) and the new stereo aux jacks(from the brown wires) and solder your own connections.
The stereo drained the battery in the first day. Since the battery was 7 years old anyway, I purchased a new battery with bigger capacity and never had issues again. The stereo should turn on/ off with ingnition as Is not hard wired direct to the battery. If it doesn't than you could manualy turn on/off by keeping pressed the volume knob.

Because it`s chinese crap,let me explain to u i had this same problem during 10 mont my car unit stop working twice.I will say crap is crap.Also chinese units don`t work with Bose on 100% .

I wouldn't connect the front view camera but I'd like to use android auto if possible, connect to DAB+ and use a back view camera

The head unit has the mic built in it. The extra mic is probably for the DVR sound.

I have been using Eonon since 2019 and it works flawlessly. Touch response is just as good as it was when new.

If the stereo doesn't start, press and hold the left volume button. Or check the car fuses.

You might want to change them. The system is pretty strong for the factory setup.

It's loud but not premium sound. As I mentioned before, these stereos are great for the extra functions but not the best option for sound.

Something went wrong with the order! Never got it and had to order new one. I'll post a video as soon I get it.
