    That is a cool concept for a electric cart, imagine batteries getting so good that they are as small as a drill battery but can drive a 10 hp motor. So that when the battery dies, you can hot swap them and keep on going while charging the standby one.

    Great build. When I was a kid, my dad taught me to weld. Our first project was a gocart. I learned a lot. This video reminded me of that time.

    That's not as easy as you made it look. I started something very similar years ago and never finished it because life got in the way. Very well done, not doubt your child/children are having lots of fun in their Go Kart. DeWalt should throw a few free batteries your way.

    Im in the process of making my son a drill powered 406 unimog replica. Using a trimer rotatory gear box at 50/1 im aiming at about 5ish mph but a load of torque so my son can tow a bag of compost and feel he's helping out while having fun. lol

    I honestly didn't think there was enough torque in that drill to make to go-cart go that fast!

    Great job! Maybe a chain tensioner would be a good upgrade so you can change gears on the fly. Seems really fast off the mark though like wow!

    What an amazing video. Tv standard and reminds me of my cart that my uncle and dad built. It was well engineered and had a leather seat with metallic purple wings. Great work to the production team of this vid

    Buen trabajo 👍, sólo falta que informes si el motor del taladro es con o sin escobillas (brushless) que voltaje y amperios tiene la batería, autonomía, peso aprox de la unidad junto a piloto.

    not sure how much weight will deteriorate the speed of a drill V18, but as the kid gets older, you could just cut the base in the middle, and add an aluminum frame to stretch the Go-Kart and add longer cables for the gas and breaks.
    something I always thought of doing, but by the time I got around to it, my kids were all grown. now it is just a thought for myself, but a drill will not push a 200lb guy around easily. lol

    Take the tire off the rim and take that fancy impact to the spoke nipples. They remove very easy for a complete breakdown. 600$ giant bicycle😱

    DeWalt makes a 60v mixing drill has alot more torque. Could probably step up the gearing and really get moving. But its pricey.

      We had a milwaukee drill up to 20mph, almost too fast for my kids. I should have filmed myself making them also. I tried selling the go karts but health and safety here in the uk wouldn't allow it..

    super project . i want to build it , i already ordered the bike hub from aliexpress ...50 days to come ... pffff , can you pls tell me where din you found the sferic stering bolts ? .. cant find them......... there are 10mm sferic bolts , right ? do you have link to a page where i can purchase 4 sferic sterering bolts ? and the dimension of the kart front to back is 100 cm or 110 cm ?

      The lenght is 110cm. I’m working on plans and material list for the car and will soon publish it. Most of the parts are from local norwegian stores. But the gas strut ball sockets can be bought from eBay.       old comment but the circular saw might not work because most are not pressure sensitive. its 0 to 100. then we would also have to mod the saftey witch too

      Top speed is about 20km/h. Battery usage depends on battery size
