That is a cool concept for a electric cart, imagine batteries getting so good that they are as small as a drill battery but can drive a 10 hp motor. So that when the battery dies, you can hot swap them and keep on going while charging the standby one.
That's not as easy as you made it look. I started something very similar years ago and never finished it because life got in the way. Very well done, not doubt your child/children are having lots of fun in their Go Kart. DeWalt should throw a few free batteries your way.
@@davidwillard7334 he lost both of his arms and legs when he got ran over by a truck when he was trying to save a grandma crossing the street, that is Life's excuses for you
Im in the process of making my son a drill powered 406 unimog replica. Using a trimer rotatory gear box at 50/1 im aiming at about 5ish mph but a load of torque so my son can tow a bag of compost and feel he's helping out while having fun. lol
You sir, are an artist, an great engineer, thinker, problem solver, builder. I’m amazed by your skill and inspired to try something. I’d be happy if it turns out even a tenth as cool as that😂.
This gets me mad. I always think I make something cool, but than this comes along and blows everyone out of the water. Good job sir. I'm truly impressed by tour skill and craftsmanship and detail.....WOW
@@grovsnekkeren2809 I dont think he mean it literally. It's like "Wow! How come i didnt think of that? or "Brooo~ that's awesome" or "H-Ho-How?!" so on and so forth.
Congratulations on this great creative creation and great inspiring informative video creation too! I wish you another successful day and, of course, everyone in strength, health and peace! I wish you good luck! 👍🍀🇭🇺🌞☝️
not sure how much weight will deteriorate the speed of a drill V18, but as the kid gets older, you could just cut the base in the middle, and add an aluminum frame to stretch the Go-Kart and add longer cables for the gas and breaks. something I always thought of doing, but by the time I got around to it, my kids were all grown. now it is just a thought for myself, but a drill will not push a 200lb guy around easily. lol
We had a milwaukee drill up to 20mph, almost too fast for my kids. I should have filmed myself making them also. I tried selling the go karts but health and safety here in the uk wouldn't allow it..
Aha! I waited a long time for you to publish where and when you were going to sell them. So sorry you weren’t able to do so. On the other hand I can see that they might be dangerous for some kids
old comment but the circular saw might not work because most are not pressure sensitive. its 0 to 100. then we would also have to mod the saftey witch too
What an amazing video. Tv standard and reminds me of my cart that my uncle and dad built. It was well engineered and had a leather seat with metallic purple wings. Great work to the production team of this vid
I got a buddy with a couple broke in half Dewalt impact guns thinking bout makin a ebike out of one em. Is that crazy. Dewalt website claims the Xr 1/4 inch has 1,825 in-lbs of torque that would be an insane amount of power. Wouldn't be for long rides just little rips down the road but I'm thinking torque monster
It could work, but isn’t the high torque due to the impact mechanism? I dont’t think an impact drill has the same gear as an ordinery drill so you may get trouble, but I don’t know for sure. Let me know how it goes
That is not just an e-cart...instead, a symbol of dedication, enthusiasm, spirit, love, example of fatherhood..
Thank you for your kind words
Great job the best part is seeing your son smile 🫵👍💪🫵🫡
One of best videos in and on UA-cam ever! The look on the boys face? Best thing a father could experience!

Ralfie went from a Red Rider BB gun to a drill motor go cart. Cool. Now you won't shoot your eye out.
My exact thoughts! 😅💜
OUTSTANDING! I ALWAYS DREAMED OF A CART LIKE THAT. BUILT A COUPLE BACK IN THE 50'S. THEY PALE IN COMPARISON TO THIS MASTERPIECE!!
The smile of your son, is the best part of your video
Great build. When I was a kid, my dad taught me to weld. Our first project was a gocart. I learned a lot. This video reminded me of that time.
Good memories👍😀
May God bless your father. Great training, great memories!
Amazing job. It's brilliant how you made the throttle foot controlled!
Thank you!
Beautiful design! A dad who loves his son!
Nice build! Especially liked the use of hand brakes for pedals ..
Thank you!

Very well done! I’m sure they loved that Christmas gift. Great job sir.
I honestly didn't think there was enough torque in that drill to make to go-cart go that fast!
Love the high squeaky voices in the background
That is a cool build the quality is excellent the finish product is beautiful, made Dewalt proud and son happy nice job
Great job! Maybe a chain tensioner would be a good upgrade so you can change gears on the fly. Seems really fast off the mark though like wow!
Awesome gift to handmake for your child! Fatherhood rules!

Nice work mate and some great use of simple materials one can find around the house👍🏽
Take the tire off the rim and take that fancy impact to the spoke nipples. They remove very easy for a complete breakdown. 600$ giant bicycle😱
Job well done Sir . Pulido !
Cracking job,I made one from a small chain saw engine.
Cool! That’s my next project. Do you have any pictures or video?
Great quality project ! 👍 Now how about a follow-up with a test drive, that would be so nice ! 😁

Amazing work, now make a milwaukee powered one, the Milwaukee has so much more torque. Great job!!

Wonder is it still going after 2 years :) does it have enough torque. Can you share. Thanks for making amazing video.
Torque is no problem. The kid has grown too big for it though. Need to build it bigger😜
Mooi man!
nice build wish my kid was still littel, question does the flex battery makes a difference in power or just last longer???
It gives more power and last a little bit longer
How long does the battery lasts

Very good
DeWalt makes a 60v mixing drill has alot more torque. Could probably step up the gearing and really get moving. But its pricey.
They should send me one right away😀😀
