This is why i love UA-cam. Theres a video for damn near every idea one could possibly fathom. Ive had this idea since i was an early teen. Ive always thought if i took the gears off of a mountain bike and put them on the axle of a go-kart i could have as many gears as possible to get a different torque ratio and maximum output potential out of any engine. Glad to see someone else has put it together.
FILIPO TV.... excellent job... what a geniuos brain. You are.. inventor mechanic... .. i salute you.. on your mini go cart... bicycle parts with small gasoline engine. With 6 speed.... what a brillant thinking... i know its very difficult to made it one unit of go cart... it will made a time table...... but i want to copy your invention..... yes i salute you on your job... im from cebu philippines.. daghang salamat sir.. saludo jod ko nimo... 100 percent... bravo3 . muchos grasyas senyor... mo bien.. ... yu te amo con todo me corazon... adios... up load some more please.. thanks... see you next time... sir....
Really nice build, well done. This being UA-cam I have to point out a few things though, not out if malice but informative, I hope. Those back axles are too far from the frame, you will get flex and the axles will fail, I know from experience. When I was a kid at school, about age 13, over 50 years ago now, I built something along the same lines but without that bicycle gear arrangement, never got the gear ratio right but before I could, my axle snapped for that very reason. So, we tried and tried to get the thing running right but when that axle broke, we just dumped the thing in an alleyway behind the school and forgot about it. Many years later, 10, maybe 15, I was at a junk sale and came across a homemade lawnmower. To my astonishment I recognized the carburetor that I had modified for my Kart, then I noticed the engine was the same one. It was great to know that some other bloke had used what I had discarded for another use and that, at least one part of my Kart was still around and working. I thought about buying it but decided to let the thing live on in someone else's hands. Once again, nice job.
We had a factory 49 cc quad with the same engine. As I made the correct setup on the carburetor and the brakes, that was very thight, it managed to spin both rear tires on softer surface. But as I can see, you have a gear changer. That is the best part of your project!

I took an adult sized pedal car and mounted a 49cc moped engine on it. Had to change the steering joints over to lawn mower type to keep it on the road. If you sneezed while driving,it would throw you out on the ground. We called it the wild mouse. 😂
It would be interesting to see a follow video to see how well everything holds up. Builder is very skilled. Thought the the front end needed more caster angle for the speed it travels. Add a pair of disc brakes to the front too. Very cool build.
Agree with all of you and I think the chain or gears will be the first thing to break which could result in an injury. That’s probably why we haven’t seen anymore video about this cause it broke on that very short test ride…
Lots of drive chains thrashing about exposed. Years back we had an old Villiers 350 we played on the pit heaps with. Being kids maintenance wasn't high on our list. So dry and worn chains and cogs were the norm. One day the chain snapped and hot ravelled up in the engine casing. The damage was like a bomb had gone off. It tore lumps out the drive side crankcase. The guy who fixed it for us told us about a friend he had when the same thing happened to him. He was unlucky and it ripped part of his calf away. Not sure if the story was true but since I've always been wary of chains. Especially unguarded ones.
Cool project! However, you should probably tilt the steering rods in about 15 degrees so you get the correct angle for ackerman steering. Helps a great deal when you take on the curvy roads.
I have had this idea and just always thought it would be more torque and speed but I just dont see enough from this to determine if it's worth doing. Looks dope tho I want a ride!
I dunno about the fuel tank right next to the hot exhaust pipe but other than that it's cool... Maybe needs suspension on each corner.. Even small springs
Great idea....but no shock absorbers, the steering system has lots of unlubricated moving joints, the main chasis seems not properly reinforced.... good concept tho.

Shocking workmanship. I love the old black marker technique for detailed work. Hahaha 🤣
Finally somebody used the gears from a bicycle 🚲 excellent choice!!!
Don’t think that setup with the chain and gears will last very long. They aren’t made for a motor and will break.
Really nice build, well done.

yeah that axle was like what 10mm? or 15mm max? Would need a solid 10cm axle width..

Started to play with electric motors getting rid of all that troubles. A lot easier especially for beginners like me :-)
7:01 1st guy that builds something using shoes instead of flip flops :D great project, regards from ARG
Excellent 👍😀. From Bangladesh 🇧🇩💞
So sad no hands left great build and rideable with feet the great campanolo

Some great ideas

At the end of the video i thought you will make a try with a kid ! But i remembered that all brilliant people are eternal kids, good work and skills
Very nice project. Greetings from sunny Jamaica.
Uuuu
Very clever I could watch these vids for hours

There is no video of cornering capability probably because the selected tires are highly incorrect for a cart.
Shrouds are state law and mandatory for very real safty reasons...
I'd seriously be worried about that skinny bicycle chain breaking and cutting me head off.
@@scott4981 I agree. I think it's a cool little cart but having all those moving parts so close is begging for an accident.

Great project. One thing i would fabricate is a chain guard for safety.
Nice bike cart good job
Good job
Bagus,Hanya saran saya para investor dapat mendukungnya
He visto en ,2 ocasiones su video. UD ES UN MAESTRO DE VERDAD.UN MAESTRO NO TIENE MIEDO DE ENSEÑAR. NUEVAMENTE FELICIDADES.HUMILDAD ANTE TODO
Belle fabrication soignée et explicite au cour de la vidéo. Bravo à vous super petit karting.
Definitivamente original... Buen trabajo...!!
Nice idea... But one good bump is going to fold that front end...
Eu gostei do video
24:55 my favorite part- when the jugular slicing sheet metal is affixed to the steering column. safety third!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Very cool
That is a really cool gocart it's pretty fast to i like it two thumbs up!!!👍👍
Awesome work! I wish I had your talent. Thanks for sharing
I like video inspiratif
Cara muito top ... 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Great workmanship! Bravo!
Awesome, been thinking of a way to use a solid go cart axel on my trike. This looks good
Дизлайки рукожопы ставят. Парень молодец!

And some chain glides would be nice too.
Its got a petrol engine so now classed in UK as a motor vehicle, without tax/mot/insurance can only legally be used off road/pavement on private land.
@@MrDurham55 The government will charge you for having any type of transportation which should be a right' of travel.
@@TA-kr1di By all means have fun making a vehicle for off road/pavement use, But wrong to put members of the public in danger.
Very well remembered: ackerman's principle was missing: the steering arms must point to the center of the rear axle.
Nice job, great transmission.

*фиг с этой экипировкой, главное маску надел :)))*
I been waiting for some 1 to do 1 with gears nice job looks like a good bit of engineering to me
Otimo, gostei muito.
Achei top, só pra melhorar esse projeto eu pensaria em umas molinhas, suspensões.
😁Invention is such a marvelous, and strong word.
Qua va
that is awesome build
Boa noite amigo bem caprichadinho hein Parabéns é um dos profissionais👌👊💕
Está muy bueno
Buenos días amigo exelente trabajo una bicicleta con motor a gasolina buen trabajo
I love the Tennessee fiddle wrench this guy is using
Dayum!!!Dudes A G wit it!
That is top shelf. Very nice work on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You definitely need a chain tensioner from the hub to the sprocket on the axle, that chain is wobbling too much! But great build and idea!😎👍

Wo er Gas gibt ,war mir nicht ganz klar.Aber es fehlt noch Licht und ein Tacho.Prima.👋
Amazing build! Great demo.
that chain spinning by your side feels very safe

congratulation brother....very very good

My car has the fuel line right next to the exhaust.
Personally I think it should be battery powered

From Indonesia...👍👍👍 Yesss
VERY NICE
nice kart👍
Молодец 👏👍
Very nice build!
Как всегда аккуратная работа!
Nice work. Thinking heat shield for gas tank and stronger spring on derailer and chain tensioner for axle chain.
...and a more comfortable seat.
Well done Sir well done ,your transmission rocks lol.
Well done! A BIG 👍
Stay well, Joe Z
Wooow Amazing work 😎❤️😏👍
Thanks for this Video! It helps me.
I bet there’s a top speed limit from the factory on the tires. Looks like fun though!
