You girls who figure this stuff out amaze me. Are you all engineers? I used to think you were all just very right brain dominate and thus more creative then the rest of us. Now I think you are frustrated engineers. You look at this complicated object, then take it apart in your mind, then you figure out how to replicate it using what you have on hand or can easily obtain. I salute you! This was pretty amazing. You made it using tools most women have and can use. Great project. You even inspired me unknowingly bu sitting your glue sticks close at hand. I have never thought about putting my glue sticks in a pencil holder, or cup. That’s a project I can do today. Thank you for sharing your amazing creativity with me.

Haha Shirley! I love your comments! I don't know about being an engineer but I think my brain definitely works differently. I don't know if that is always good or not though. I'm glad you liked my glue gun holder. It is nice to have the glue sticks close at hand. Thanks for watching and have a blessed day!

You are so smart! I love to watch videos where people buy things at the Dollar Store and take them apart and make something totally different out of the items they purchased. I was amazed at how you took picture frames apart and used them as glass for the lamp post. It would cost more money to have the glass cut to size. But it was fun watching. I like white lamp posts and then the ribbons can be changed-out for the seasons and the lamp post can stay out all year. I was holding my breath when you were drilling. It looked like your hand was too close to the drill. You should have protective gloves on when drilling. Thank you for showing your talents.

I love this. Thinking that a string or two of the battery operated lights from dollar tree in the garland around the pole would be really pretty too.

I like this project and really like the first candle that you show using. It is reminiscent of the old lamplights that were used as street lights. They actually still have some, for decorative purposes, on the main street in the town where I live. So nostalgic! 👍🏻🎄😊

I made my own lamp post. It looks similar but mine is all from scratch. I used foam board and cut out my pieces for the lantern part. And my embellishments were added without glue so it can be used for any holiday. I should send you a pic. It's adorable.

Love this idea. Exactly what I need for my decorations. As far as the pole, a Dollar Tree sponge mop will work perfectly. The handle screws out. I used one for my Halloween pumpkin stand. It's metal so real solid.

Oh Chantel you are incredibly talented and precise!! I just loved this Christmas creation. What I especially liked is that you kept it tastefully simple. You must be familiar with the phrase "less is more." So many people get carried away and keep adding embellishment after embellishment that well ....... Anyway, I am looking forward to more of your DIY videos. Thank you so much for sharing.

Hint. I have done this with other projects. Drill hole all the way through in one board. Place dowel in that hole. Then attach smaller board to larger board. Then drill a hole underneath the larger board through the dowel n add a flat screw. This way the pole will be secure. Love this project!

I really like this. I have an idea for the back. Those frames tend to be the same on the back as the front. You could secure it where the metal tabs will face the outside and put a dollar tree mirror facing the inside of the lamp. Keeping it in place with the tabs from the outside. That way you could remove the mirror to change the scenery inside. You could also use screws if using a dowel to give it extra stability. Great tutorial!

Wow, that’s easy and so pretty! I was looking at one of these at a discount store yesterday and they wanted almost $40 and I said “No way!” but now, “Way” bcuz this is so much cheaper and looks like fun to make. I love either candle. I also have most of these items already. I think I’ll do what another person commented below, and that’s to use a plunger handle instead I just subscribed to your channel and I’m looking forward to more tutorials 😊 Thank you and have a blessed day!

I use pvc pipes for my standing halloween props. Seeing your video made me realize i can probably use those for this too! If anyone wants to try it, here is how i do it. I used some small wood square pieces that were from random furniture that had broken and spray painted them black. They are probably about 10 inches sq x half inch thick. Then i took a connector for the pipe and hot glued one end of it to the middle of the wood square with the opening of the other side up. After it dried, i stuck the pipe into the connector. The pipes are short because that was what would fit in my car and I don't have a pvc cutter. Then i add another connector and another pipe to make it longer. I hot glued a connector inside my prop and attached it to the top of the pipe. I cant wait to try this!
