This is where discernment and knowledge of God comes in. Your mistake was not in forgiving and loving. Your mistake was in not being aware of how false doctrines and beliefs contradict God.

This was TOUGH to hear! I am totally beaten and bruised, as I can say I am judgmental. Even if I try to say it’s injustice that I’m “defending” myself…God is amazing, and I praise Him for true forgiveness, and that He remembers MY sin no more! God needs to work in me!

    Perfect timing, Todd.
I just tried a video from some guy saying a new religion would sweep the globe or whatever.
I endured about ten percent of it, and it was about 34 total.
    Anyway, it was demon worship.
    Specifically, it was Satan worship.
I put a quick description of the Gospel in the comments, and zoomed out of there.
I needed something clean, and here was your video, posted 18 minutes ago.

I try to approach people with as much gentleness as I can. My pastor was very compassionate when speaking with me and that is what helped push me back to follow God. It’s going to be prodigals that change this world. Too many people have been in faith so long they forgot where they have come from and sometimes don’t know how to talk to people who are still lost. This wrong judgement is prevalent in how some Christians treat the LGBT community. My pastor’s gentleness allowed him to share the truth with me of God’s design for marriage and sex and opened a door for me to listen. So many others have approached it from a place of hate and judgment and it turned me away. Thank you God for finding me and returning me to your herd. Matthew 18:10-14.

I had confessed I hated it, didn’t even think about it as it was in conversation with someone. Holy Spirit slowly, but surely took that as my desire to be changed. Is it gone completely? Not on this side of eternity, but it has been reduced to about 75%! Bless God!

As Christians, we are called to judge. I judge, but I don’t condemn. I need mercy myself. *1 Corinthians 6:2-3* AMPC *Do you not know that the saints (the believers) will [one day] judge and govern the world? And if the world [itself] is to be judged and ruled by you, are you unworthy and incompetent to try [such petty matters] of the smallest courts of justice?*
*3 Do you not know also that we [Christians] are to judge the [very] angels and pronounce opinion between right and wrong [for them]? How much more then [as to] matters pertaining to this world and of this life only!*

Preeetty nice video! Thank you for uncovering this sneaky chameleon beast, judgementalism. You've exposed some of the worst aspects of it. Even as a Christian matures and feels more compassion and love for others while rejecting their sin, once we're past that level and think we're in the clear, an even harder battle begins: to truly forgive even those who have not the slightest sign of repentance shown, who hate us, who smear us, who are glad at our demise and our hurt, because of whose actions against us we suffer practically every day, and who on top of it all remain untouched, privileged, respected and successful, who also think they are better than you even morraly (Psalm 17:14-15). Now forgive them too just like RC said "not that's two!" Eh? How you feeling? Want to quit? I fell it.
I am powerless against this beast on my own. Remember to look up where our power comes from and cry out loud Jesus give strength Lord! Jesus forgave those who pierced Him and laughed and spit at Him. Our model is so tall we can't even see the peak. His forgiveness and power of love so high we must never look down at us. Help us Jesus!

It has been a sad, sad thing to watch Christians not only airing the supposed dirty laundry of the church in front of the world to bring disdain upon Christ, but actually broadcasting it on UA-cam. There are things that should be addressed privately within the body of the church. Jesus actually told us what that first step should be in Matthew 18:15, "...go and tell him his fault between you and him alone..." This makes me wonder how many members of the Judgment Seat of UA-cam, who broadcasted Alistair Begg's alledged "sin" of bad advice, actually went to Beggs personally before they took to the UA-cam throne of public judgment and cast contempt on him. Romans 14:10 "But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ."

I walk more now in humility, than I used to. God told me to confess my sin of self-righteousness at the end of a season He was taking me through. He delivered me from the spirit of condemnation, then had me confess my sin. After I did, my spirit man walked oddly for 3 days. When I walked, it felt as though my joints had all been disjointed. It was odd, to say the least. But, the Holy Spirit reminded me of, Hebrews 4:12, "For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.". I stand in awe of God!!! He takes my breath away!!! This Living God, our Heavenly Father, and the Lord, Jesus Christ, revealed by the Holy Spirit, loves me/us. Hallelujah!!!!!

Reading and memorizing scripture wasn't the Pharisees sin. Rejecting Jesus and not believing the Bible was their sin.
They would not come to Jesus to be saved. They hardened their heart to the Holy Spirit and called Jesus evil.
They didn't even pretend to love Jesus.
    They plotted to kill Jesus
Many pretend to love Jesus and deceive many, but the Pharisees were hating Him openly and Said He had a devil.
The Pharisees would not put their trust in Jesus and obey His Word.
    John 5:46
For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me.
    John 5
38 And ye have not his Word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.
39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

Yea, they despised the pleasant land, they believed not his word
    John 8:24
I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I Am He,
ye shall die in your sins.
43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.
58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
    Isaiah
Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me,
and Understand that I Am He:
before Me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after Me.

I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no Saviour
    John 12:48
He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day
    Luke 9:26
For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels
    John 8:24
I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins

    Isaiah 45:6
That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west,
that there is none beside me.
    I am the Lord,
    and there is none else
    Matthew 1:23
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son,
and they shall call his name Emmanuel,
    which being interpreted is,
    God with us.
    Isaiah 5:24
Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the Lord of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel

Why don't we ever hear anybody teaching about 1 Cor 5:12? "What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?"
It is actually telling the church to kick someone out of the church who is living in sin (specifically sexual sin), but to me it shows that we can't use the government to, say, restrict gay marriage, or restrict anything unless it has societal implications (not just religious ones). That's not to say we can't make murder illegal, because it has societal implications, but if our only reason is religious, I would say this instructs us not to restrict.

"Judge not lest ye be judged " is not even about judging with wrong motives. Which is only partly true! For the Greek word for judge here is the word Krinos - Meaning final condemning judgement. Which belongs only to God! I or you cannot make that judgement for we lack the authority to do so. Christ alone has the "All authority " ( Matthew 28:18 ) Greek word ( exousia ) meaning " Out of Being " of God Himself!

The flesh has an irrational propensity to search out the faults of others in a futile attempt to somehow mitigate it's own sin, or perhaps to simply draw attention away from their own faults. Righteous judgment begins with the most severe scrutiny being reserved for self as we juxtaposition ourselves alongside Christ, our perfect paradigm.

RC's advise of discernment is critical to spiritual growth. We need to be able to discern our own sin before we point out the faults in others. But, part of the sin of judgemental-ism is that we like to justify ourselves, or excuse our own sin. This truly runs counter to the gospel. Thanks for the poke in the eye.
Being around non-believers, one notices that the average person tends to enjoy pointing out the problems in everybody, but with zero awareness that they do the same things. It's frustrating to deal with these people, but it's also a frustration as a Christian to see that, to lesser a degree, I can struggle with this as well. It's even more frustrating when these people profess to be Christians.

So help me here with what is allowable judgement. If I have committed a sin and confessed of that sin, and no longer commit that sin, is pointing out to others that they are doing the same thing and it is sin, is that allowed or unallowed? Let’s make it real life situations. If woman had an affair or an abortion and repented of those sins, can she tell other women they are sinning if they commit those same actions? Is that unlawful judgement?

If a Christian seeks tatoos and face pearcings, I assume they don't understand or will not obey 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. Is that being judgemental or noticing the fruit bore by a particular tree?

The reason people get tattoos is for people to judge them. They want people to say good things about their tattoos but cry "don't judge me" when someone dislike them.
I've seen someone on youtube complain because some people commented negatively about their large tattoos on their neck.
It would be different if someone is poor and you judge them because they can't afford nice clothes but it totally different when people spend cash to put tattoos all over their body.

Does the Bible teach to not judge by appearance? Of course you wouldn't want to judge by appearance alone but I can often tell a prostitute by their appearance. I normally can judge a cop by their appearance. I don't agree with " Don't (never) judge a book by its cover" as often I find out I can tell something about a book by what's on the cover.
As I teach my son you don't usually find an evil dictator with long hair or blue hair, noses rings , seldom use profanity at least in public as they want to be respected but they will throw people in prison because of what they said.

I agree with what you are saying. However; as I understand it, the kind of judging we should avoid is trying to condemn a person, in that we think they should go to hell. As we grow in the Lord, we also obtain common sense and discernment, such as found in the book of Proverbs to warn us to be wary of and even flee from certain situations. This is using good judgement.

  • @FozzyBBear
    @FozzyBBear 6 місяців тому

THIS is the original sin. The sin of Genesis 2:16-17 and the sin of Matthew 7:1-5 are identical. The spiritual fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is the _judgement_ of good and evil. There is a carnal version of this judgement that is wicked, and there is a holy version that is sacred.
The profane, carnal method of judgement is to use it on others, the sacred version is to turn that magnifying glass on yourself. This is what it means to crucify yourself. You have to subject yourself to the harsh lens you habitually use on everyone else, and carve away every part of you that is offensive to Christ before you can turn that finely-honed judgement on your fellow man. We should spend less time judging our fellow lost lambs, and more time judging the ravenous wolves tearing our flocks apart, and more time in bolstering the weakest among our flock who are straying from the sheepfold. The solution to stopping the spread of sinfulness in the world begins with the repentance of the sin in your own life.

Majority of the time, people who are "judgmental" are the biggest gossipers at church. They often time point the finger on others and not look at their own self. Pretty sad.

So what do we do with 1 Corinthians 5 -11 "But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people."❓

There comes a time when we must walk away because our external speech is not penetrating their heart. It is a work for God alone to complete and bring it to full. We will continue to pray for them of course. 1 Corinthians 5 is a great chapter that speaks about separating the leaven. That we are to be a new lump. So if we are called to be temples of the living God and we “tolerate” one who continues to willful sin after being counseled over and over again, then we must therefore separate the person until they acknowledge their sin and truly repent. Back to being temples of the living God/lively stones, we cannot come together as one if their be a schism in the body.
      I hope that makes sense.

There was one argument I had with someone and well, it came back to the obvious "im a lesbian so God doesnt love me" type thing. At that point I had to put my own judgements aside, if I can come to God the sinner that I am, they can too. I told them "I dont care if youre a lesbian, be a lesbian, come to God. You might not stay that way, but that shouldnt keep you from going to God."
Sort of thing. Maybe not that exact wording, but that is my general feeling towards those people. I dont need to ask them to change, I need to ask them to come to God, and God will change them.
