I miss this show on TV and it is my favorite show while it lasted ☹️🙁😕😢I miss Mr Wizard
Me too
Wizard: that’s enough that’s enough!!!
Boy: *precedes to pour a tad more
This was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid.
Awesome explanation sir today's children should see this type of videos and they should do practical like this but Teachers only do these practicals with chemicals not we
Mr. Wizard is so cool! He's cocky, but that's because he knows what he's talking about!
"Only do this experiment when your parents are home. If it's going to kill someone, we want to take your whole family."
Oh plz come on don't say that hehe
Back in 1988 my brother thought if he blew up enough balloons with his breath, he could float. He blew up a whole bag of balloons and climbed onto the roof of my grandma's shed and jumped off! Lol! He didn't know back then he should have used helium!!!
SZALINSKI, GIVE IT A REST! IT’S SATURDAY!!!!
And 30+ years later, look where we are now...we're now running our planes, trains and automobiles with this stuff! Also a great alternative to diesel.
I hope this is sarcasm
wow! they were talking about hydrogen cars even 35 years ago.
+JT Brooks & we are still not quit there yet...
We were but GM had all of them recalled and crushed for some.. odd.. reason.
@@MB-to2wi They actually had a big problem.
The hydrogen cars were all floating away.
Bought up the patents then recalled and destroyed.
You mean like the cars they had in WW2?
Love him rubbing his shirt with a hydrogen filled balloon while tying it... that kid almost got an extra lesson on static electricity.
I might have enjoyed school better and decided to try harder if we had more Mr. Wizard type of teachers.
Ah Mr. Wizard makes Bill Nye look like a Grade A Sissy. Wizard's Show taught me more than just science it taught me that real learning one must really go and get your hands dirty and show no fear which is far more fun than these weak science show of today. At least Wizard's style of education is gone forever thank to you tubers like Photonicindution, King of Random, Colinfurze. and others.
Mr. Wizard was a scientist...Bill Nye, not so much. Nye was only a poor actor that could only make money lying to kids about the fantasy of global warming.
Yeah it's pretty chilly over in Australia right now.
ROWSDOWERRRRRRR
Ha. I looked it up, That’s the kid.
Did the boy crap his pants at the end ?? Haah
no he made ch3
No he crapped his pants before the experiments started
When I was a kid I used Lye, Pieces of Aluminum Foil and Water to make Hydrogen. I put the bottle in a bucket of water to keep it cool. After filling a couple of balloons the bottle cracked from the heat even though it was in water so I decided that I should quit while I was ahead.
Mr Wizard did an episode about lye and aluminum too.
Wow these videos are soo cool
Mr. Wizard was a God when I was a kid.
Man it is old but much easy to understand
I feel like a relic watching this
I love the qualifier "responsible" adult.
4:19 HAHAHAHA
Is anyone else watching this because of Bob Newhart's mr. proton character on the Big Bang Theory? Made me remember Nickelodeon's hey day. Mr. Wizard, You cant say that on television, Double Dare...good times.
Yeah, I've seen that episode a few weeks ago.
Nothing like👍🏽the good😀OL days
Safety smafty
Man that kid was not the brightest bulb on the tree at that age
Mom can we get some zinc, Carbolic acid, test tubes and a balloon? Sure, what for? I wanna make some water like they showed on Mr. Wizard. You sure its safe? No, only if you're somewhere in the house while I blow shit up like Hindenburg style. Ok, just be careful. (Kid goes to school next day looking like Harvey Dent
This was so much fun to watch on Nickelodeon. I was twelve though and had not yet studied chemistry so I probably didn't get the science here although I did know of the Hindenburg disaster. It's actually a girl, but, yes, he calls her Kristen just once at the beginning and at that age girls with short hair can be mistaken for boys as much as boys with long hair can be mistaken for girls. And if you look at my hair you know I'm just being matter-of-factual.
I think it is definitely a boy - he calls him "Christian" in the beginning, not Kristen
Loved this show when I was a kid
Hydrogen hasn't exactly kicked off yet.
That acid looks pretty strong.
It is dude, it is primo stuff man...it will blow your mind.
oooh poor kid hahahaha!! awesome!!
Hey, that's Audrey Hepb.. oh, it' Troy.
4:22 xD
Hey yo, Mr Wizard! We need to cook.
LANA THE HELIUM!
Can you say Hindenburg?
too bad hydrogen cars are common these days. I wish they would of gotten invented :-(
How to make a hydrogen bomb!
4:21 "and that's what happened to the Hindenburg kid
surprised he had the kid handling an Acid without chemical gloves on tho.
unless it was a dilute.
You're talking about a time when gunpowder and even low grade radioactive solids were sold with chemistry sets. If it was low tier then you didn't fret about it. Lawsuits were much rarer back then and you usually signed off on release forms for shows like this. Granted, we could also walk (or bike) to school literally 3 miles away at the age of 10 and it would be normal.
Now they make kids wear heavy rubber gloves to handle anything....
brainplay
I Agree Point taken :)
I was thinking, where are their safety goggles??
Gangularis
True! I forgot about that. I guess people wer'nt so Sue happy back in the 80's
Thank you for that...gave me nostalgia :)
Trump would bring back this show again.
