Jeff with the release point data was interesting!!! 📊 love it!
That was a good win last night, gone need everyone to continue to contribute big with Mookie and Yamamoto being out, including pitching.
Perhaps he was comfortable challenging the toothless lineups the past two starts, resulting in more strikes. My impression had been that excessive nibbling early in the count led to walks.
the pitching isn't the problem the inconsistent hitting is though.
Paxton has definitely been a pleasant surprise considering the last start. I also believe Trinieian has also been a pleasant surprise. The only thing about Blake is I think he’s a little under used and needs to see more batters. Other than that the reservation I have was Michael Grove and last night Feyereisen. I did however welcome the lineup change which is what I wanted but not at the expense of Mookie Betts. On the positive the Dodgers scored on 5 of 9 innings. Very much welcomed and had many more opportunities to score. You may not always score but you increase the percentages to score. They did that spectacularly and the offensive numbers showed.
The lack of cutter this deep into the season is alarming. He needs it cuz he’s a two p pitcher now
I'm anxious whenever Paxton pitches, but the end results have been solid. I can't picture him finishing with, say, 15 wins, but he's almost halfway there now, so maybe he will. Still, I'm hoping he's not needed for the playoffs...
Jack Flaherty is the key to filling in for Yamamoto.
dodgers are already lying about yamamoto he is out for the season. first it is a tricep injury now it is a rotator cuff injury. then also said there was no tear. that is a lie ask any doctor a strain is a tear. they cannot afford to let him pitch this year until it is totally healed. if he needs an operation his career could be over.
