King Kong vs. Godzilla (1962): “Am I a joke to you?”
The original Japanese version of Kong vs Godzilla actually doesn’t have any white people whatsoever. The film was heavily edited when universal got the American distribution rights.
I remember watching this as a kid, had to look it up just incase it was a fever dream
Loll i remember those insane fever dreams as a kid. I dont recall this movie though.
Baragon has to be the cutest monster Toho ever put on film.
I'm partial to Baby Godzilla from the 90's
K J Mothra?
K J Minilla, Mothra, Baby Godzilla?
I wholeheartedly agree!☺☺☺
K J yep
I love the idea of a giant human wrestling with a dinosaur.
1:58 that kick was BRUTAL :D
I recently dressed up as Baragon at an anime con. :)
Pics, or it didn't happen!
Or at least a video
1:08 he like: sup dudes
Lol
I love how at the 1:07 mark Frankenstein nods his head like "sup bro".
I watched this movie yesterday and Frankenstein scared the hell out of me
How
The monster? Or the scientist?
What I REALLY love about this movie is that it is probably one of the first mainline kaiju films to really explore the nature of the relationship between humans and kaiju, by means of focusing on an entity who almost perfectly straddles the border between the two. Frankenstein's Kaiju is one of the most tragic kaiju of all time for that reason; outwardly resembling a human, but having grown up like an animal with no concept of human society or niceties, wishing no real harm on humans (those reporters he killed in the cell brought it upon themselves by foolishly provoking his wrath), but unable to truly live with humans due to humans and kaiju living in different worlds with different scales (him just trying to catch some breakfast causes destruction and panic). That moment at the end where he rescues the man who wanted to cut off an arm or leg and delivers him to his companions, as kaiju and humans gaze silently at each other there is a great sadness, as both sides so badly wish they could reconcile and co-exist, but that is simply not possible; at that point all there is left to do is fight a kaiju's fight, and share a kaiju's fate, the earth itself swallowing him up, perhaps in an act of mercy in recognition of how truly terrible a tragedy Frankenstein's Kaiju represents.
Such and underrated movie a film kaiju fans don’t talk about nearly as much of not at all as they should in my opinion its just be of Ishiro Honda’s finest film
Baragon's debut movie is a true classic. Underrated Gem of a movie.
After watching this film last night I’d be interested in going back in time to tell the author of Frankenstein, Mary Shelley, that her novel will later be adapted by Japanese people into a new form of stage play that will be able to be seen by everyone due to a advanced piece of technology and in the story of it the Monster is mutated by a yet to be discovered destructive substance and grows to giant size and ends up fighting a fire breathing reptile that can dig underground.
1:56 Third of all, THEY STOLE GODZILLAS SOUND EFFECT FOR HIS ATOMIC BREATH
Joshua Anonuevo 1965 seeing as how it’s the same company that makes Godzilla movies I would say that wouldn’t be stealing.
wut the movie was made by toho how made Godzilla
Kyojin... Shingeki no Kyojin.
Frankenstein vs. Baragon
What if...
#001: Frankenstein's monster and Baragon were anime girls?
#002: Frankenstein's monster met a pregnant woman?
Looks like a giant lilo and stitch
I know that baragon keeps calling as a Dinosaur but to me it's mostly like a Synapsid than Reptiles.
this movie just happened to be on late night tv the first time I ate magic mushrooms. Cosmic, man, cosmic!
Hold it, baragon is king of the underworld, there are rumors that godzilla and kin kong will fight underground.
Could this be a sign of at least an easter egg of baragon?
Giant Robot would had smashed all of them.
This a has been a recent thought of mine, but maybe creating Sanda wasn't needed. He has basically the same backstory as Frankenstein, a similar enough personality and the more popular Gargantua is Gaira anyway. So they could have doubled down on War of the Gargantuas being a sequel by using Frankenstein in Sanda's role and instead of creating Akemi and Paul Stewart reuse Sueko and James Bowen.
Or if Sanda needed to be created Ishiro Honda could have commited to making this a standalone like he wanted to, giving Sanda and Gaira different origins, like them being types of giant apes or both being experiments created by humans to do a nature vs nuture experiment (as soon as he's born Gaira is left in the wild while Sanda is chosen to be the one raised with love and kindness by humans)
What sounds like a better direction?
When I seen it as a kid back in the 70s it was called Frankenstein conquers the world
yeah that was the official US title, I think "Frankenstein vs Baragon" is the literal translation of the Japanese original title
The full japanese title translates into "Frankenstein vs. Subterranean Monster Baragon"
Was I the only one who wanted Baragon to win?
No i also wanted baragon to win
Dare You to put your feet in mm2 Noob
star wars vs godzilla
Is this crossover cameo but why Frankenstein doing here ?
I remember coming across the trailer for this film back in 2007 and before seeing the trailer, I had no idea this film even existed. I of course had seen Baragon in the Godzilla films he was in and I had heard of the Frankenstein monster . But could believe that there was a film that had the Frankenstein monster turned into a giant fighting against Baragon. When I finally saw the film, I loved it and it remains one of my favourite kaiju films and favourite Frankenstein films.
Baragon’s main theme was reused in godzilla vs king ghidorah 1991
At around 1:59, was that an attempted dropkick? xD
Couldn't kick higher than his knee😂😂
Baragon made other appearances between and after this film; Destroy All Monsters, Godzilla’s Revenge and GMK: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack. His other starring role Gamera vs Baragon.
That was Barugon not baragon.
後のネロンガ(ガボラ)だw
Looks like Joseph Prince, the prosperity televangelist.
😮😂 now that's cold 😅
Baragon is so cute 🥺
First of all, WHY WAS THE DOGORA SOUNDTRACK(supposed to be played in Shin Godzilla 2016) IS PLAYING?!
Actually the theme is even older than that.
Japan Trallier Small Circle Copyright
Nick Adams should be more famous.

The original idea was that the giant Frankenstein was to fight Godzilla, but that idea was dropped.

"He vould have an enormous schwanzstucker!"
He’d be terrifically popular
This movie was badass
that is so cool video
Great movie but I hated the Frankenstein beast. I hoped that baragon kicked the shit out of him.
Well sadly mr.stein is the one that kicked baragon's ass
I thought baragon was owned by the movie studio that owns the rights to Gamera, this has puzzled me for years
chad caruso that is BARUGON you are thinking of, he is a Gamera monster
@W Gaston I'm really surprised Toho didn't at least try to make Daiei change the name; it's WAY too similar.
What the heck!? Why did baragon lose! He is not only bigger than mr.stein, BUT HE ALSO BREATHS FIRE. FIRE!!!!!!!!!!😡
KingKaiju17 i guess without the monster's win there would be no War Of The Gargantuans...
OoeyGooeyGoodra yeah, but still.
FIREEE!!!!!!
KingKaiju17 poopoo

Wow you hurt Baragon fan. It's just how it is. I like Godzilla the most and I was fine when he was defeated or killed. SO just deal with it and stop raging.
